  1. I am intensely uncomfortable with the veil/niqab/burka for the following reasons : problems of identification risks of concealment demonstration of lack of respect for the culture around the veil-wearer impairment to open communication and expression I find the notion of primary school teachers wearing a veil/niqab/burka absolutely appaling, and I would change the school of my children in this case. Absolutely fine with Hijab and Al-amira, and actually find Shayla kind of sexy, so it cant be an anti-Muslim thing with me. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/shared/spl/hi/pop_ups/05/europe_muslim_veils/html/1.stm
  2. At least he delivered last season when he came back from Olympic injury. The way he is being treated is a tragedy.
  3. Best post ever from you. I personally find it very sad that we are so desperate that some elements are viewing him as our equivalent of Wilshire for England, despite the fact that Ramirez has been utterly undewhelming and failed to deliver repeatedly over the past year, and in my opinion appears to be utterly distracted from earning his ridiculous pay the entire time by side issues. The only thing memorable he has delivered is a forearm smash that Big Daddy would have been proud of.
  4. Yep. And he spent 30m in the meantime. Troubling times..
  5. So now quality of opposition is totally irrelevant. Rightyho. Bang goes another load of happy-clappy bullsh*t from last season...
  6. I share some of your cynicism for the "new Saints era", but it really isnt a case of winning/losing. If the clappies are right, everyone wins. If the clappies are wrong, the club and the fans lose. You make the sides of the debate seem a bit childish.
  7. Yep. I suspect we wont improve in the second half of the season like we did last season, so we are probably in big trouble.
  8. This. I think some have forgotten just what a foot-up the fixture list was supposed to give us, probably those very same people that used last seasons opening fixture list as an excuse for our poor start...
  9. People calling for Ramirez as our saviour to create goals. That is priceless. He might have been named on the bench today, but considering his 13,780mile round trip, 19minutes of football during the week and the precious mite's obvious fragility, my Grandma had more chance of getting a game today. Biggest waste of money in SFC history. Bologna must be laughing their tits off
  10. We have no width, little creativity, and he offered something different. He was also good in the Villach games. Whats you explanation why we are sh*t going forward, and whats your solution ?
  11. Letting Pucheon go was a colossal mistake of Fitz Hall proportions
  12. Phrases referring to cows arses, banjos and brothels spring to mind. Clueless. Atrocious.
  13. I kept it short and succinct. What more do you want ?
  14. Totally lost the plot on scoring, despite ridiculous money being spent. Brilliant
  15. Not even on the bench. I would say the battle has been fought and lost already...
  16. We have gone for a very attacking set up today, and possibly our strongest team, with the exception of Cork. Pleased that we are going for all 3 points. Desperately sad to see he's not even on the bench. He will be gone in January, I reckon. Also, no f**king surprise whatsoever to see Ramirez is on the bench...
  17. Bright kids at school graduate and fight against an evil invasion. Or have I read a misleading synopsis ? EDIT: Wow, the baddies are even bugs : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enders_game
  18. Done. Not looking too good though. Always felt bad for them losing so much money due to the Icelandic bank thingy.
  19. How do you work that one out then ? I beleive that UK and US polls have indicated that knowing who was to blame wont make a jot of difference about supporting military intervention.
  20. Yes, because the only way to bully and intmiidate nations and pursue "national interests" is open military activity, isnt it ? Yet again, how bizarre that people lecture about the US "industrial military complex" where the military is used to advance commercial interests, but ignore Russian arms supply to the Middle East, turning off Ukraine's gas supply, etc. What a cosy convenient definition you've established in your head. I could argue that at least the US is more open and honest about it... And I dont give a flying f**k what you and bell-ends like Pilger, Fisk and Chomsky would say, I do believe that humanitarian grounds does play a small role in US thinking, something I wouldnt even dream of accusing Russias Chief Thug of.
  21. Jesus, you'll try to justify anything. If you signed an agreement to supply then fabricated a story about stealing, etc to justify bully-boy tactics, then yes, you'd be a criminal. "They're just not as aggressive as the US". Who the f**k are you trying to kid ?
  22. Wow, thats utterly bizarre..... Of course, Russian motives in the Middle East are completely altruistic; Russian foreign policy comlpetely trustworthy.... We'll come back to this discussion in a few years when Putin has turned the gas off to Europe, controls oil from the Middle East and people in the West are dying from the cold and food supply disruptions...
