  1. Oh, this was a very special case.
  2. I enjoy your blogs very much and they are always an interesting read, but this one for me didnt quite hit the spot and wasnt up to your usual very high standard. Nice try though
  3. Couldnt give a shiny one about that programme cover, even if his intention was to self-promote. He can self promote as much as he likes as far as I am concerned; he can even "self-promote" himself with a large tub of peanut butter in the centre circle before our first home game of next season if he wants, since he is delivering results and success. This was one of the more annoying things about He Who Must Not Be Named - he self-promoted even while driving the club into the ground. But then he is a real "self-promoter" from a business full of "self-promoters"
  4. Yes, I was thinking about the Millwall game too.
  5. Jesus, we are all bored, arent we ?
  6. If people want to ignore certain contributors, its cool with me. And I am probably one of the people that feature most frequently on ignore lists. I dont understand it though; I keep being cited as being on ignore for posting drive or posting negativity, but for me there is something wrong with people who shrivel when faced with the written word. It indicates some sort of insecurity issue. In addition to this, posting pleas to stop quoting someone because you then see their posts again, or posting that you have a specific individual on ignore, is some of the most ridiculous and pathetic attention seeking that ever has "graced" this site. I do have one person on ignore; he did managed to get up my nose with his pompous bigotry a while back, but I often have a sly goosie at his posts and simply cannot be bothered with the effort of deleting him from my ignore list.
  7. Jesus f**king wept. Have you actually read my original post on this thread, and the sequence that led to the post you commented upon ?
  8. What depreciation ? Operations havent started yet.
  9. If you arent going to do in excess of 20,000 miles a year, I would think carefully about this. The different in model cost when switching from petrol to diesel might be impossible to get back over a normal car's lifetime. I performed a calculation of fuel cost, consumption rate and expected distance travelled compared to model cost, before I bought my car, and worked out it would take 55 years for me to get my money back.
  10. Really ? Wasnt sure. Photo reminds me of a school holiday on Isle of Arran about 31-32 years ago, chucking stones on the beach, watching a US Poseidon sub coming out of Holy Loch.
  11. ????????????????? I am sure I wrote I am bored with stripes, nothing else. Another illiterate contributor...
  12. liverpool should pay back every penny to the UK govt and the EU, plus a small interest component, BEFORE any turnarounds commence. This inferrs they have funded it themselves. Ergo, they have fairly entered the competition
  13. Red October was a modified Typhoon. The real subs are not as big (20missiles and not 24) and dont have magnetohydrodynamic drives.
  14. Yep, the Liverpool motto for life: "why pay for something you want when you can steal it from someone else ?"
  15. "hoisted on ones petard" springs to mind..
  16. Hard to get someone to cough up serious moolah if you are insisting that you maintain absolute control over affairs. Personally, I think his ego got more than in the way of any efforts to find investment.
  17. Nah, the credit card and insurance services are much, much more important.
  18. Yes, that they will repay the UK government part, the value to be assessed (imo it should be the full value plus a nominal interest component). They have committed NOTHING about repaying the EU part. Note even that report you have linked indicates that Liverpool council dont want this referred back to the EU, who are extremely tough on subsidies giving businesses an unfair advantage and who care very little about the business being in a Northern locale full of whining self-pitying scumbags, unlike the UK government.
  19. Aahhhhhhhhh. There's the detestable arrogant self-absorbed Liverpool mentality we all hate that we have been looking for in you.... Finally its raised its head..
  20. He tests holdalls. After bringing M her cinnamon Danish.
  21. No more so than your pathetic James Bond-cum-Walter Mitty routine.
  22. for most of us oldies following Saints has been a trial of nerves and frequent disaster, interspersed with occasional sweet, sweet moments. there have been quite a few of them recently; I recommend you gently advise your kids that it might not always stay plain sailing in the future...
  23. Our away kit has been blue on several occasions. Not sure I could tolerate an all-blue home kit, but we used to play in blue shorts back near the beginning. I'm fairly open-minded. Bored with red-and-white stripes anyway.
  24. Comedy gold. Some serious guard-at-the-gate syndrome going on here.
