I’m guessing some sort of appearance related clause for McC, whereby we’d use Lumley as an emergency sub if needed but would prefer Alex if forced to start one of them. Either way it’s a blow so soon before kick off.
-
It looked like a much harder swing from behind the goal, the FA will have seen more angles than just that. Regardless of the dubious amount of pain the defender was actually in, the intent was certainly there. Why do it? Just brainless.
-
Apart from Fraser for Brooks, I’d say that’s our strongest side.
-
Speak for yourself, I’d call it a marginal offside call, which could be given either way. I’d be much more ‘fuming’ about the circumstances which lead us to be 2v1 in our own half in the first place.
-
In other words one of them is good enough to start every game and the other has never looked like getting a start ahead of the thoroughly mediocre Che Adams.

The difference in standards you hold Bazunu and Mara to is really quite remarkable.
-
I saw it from the Northam. Mara is an absolute idiot and I’m not the least bit surprised he’s got a ban for it, he was lucky the ref didn’t spot it at the time as it looked like a certain red from where I was.

TBH I wouldn’t criticise anybody for being completely ignorant of astrology. It’s absolute horse sh*t, there is no need for anybody to be ‘educated’ about it any more than than Game of Thrones houses or Sri Lankan cricketers.

If you think Lumley will do any better with the hospital passes and sloppy possession we were playing in front of our own box for an hour against Watford, I fear you may be mistaken. If we tried what a few people have suggested I’m pretty sure we’d just end up like the back end of last season, when McC let in 17 in 6 games.

I saw Barker walking around the boundary at one point, his knee definitely didn’t look to be moving too comfortably. None of our county bowlers are getting any younger, I’m hoping we’re looking for a fresh face or two next season.
-
The real question is what can we do about it. The problems it’s causing are only going to get worse, whether it’s our fault or not. Quite clearly some of it is due to human activity; you can’t pump that much carbon (and other gasses) into the atmosphere and claim it’s doing nothing.

It could now possibly be Norwich in play offs.

And yet we’re undefeated against any of the other playoff teams with 3 wins and 2 draws so far this season. -
I genuinely want City to win it and avoid any kind of financial penalty. All the Chelseas, Arsenals and Liverpools of this world have been more than happy to chuck billions at their squads that 95% of clubs can’t possibly compete with, they can swallow their own medicine as far as I’m concerned.

‘Being linked with’ just meant some random guy posted about it on Twitter one time and people started getting excited on here as if that somehow constituted plausible information.
-
9/10 full innings to be played so far have gone for over 350. Somerset on 285 by far the lowest score so far, so the ball is clearly not doing much for the bowlers. Edit: got to feel sorry for Bell there.

I think the question we’re all dying to ask is: How many drinks can you get for £37.43 at Bondi Beach? -
Excellent! Hitler is gone and we can bring in Beattie, Pahars and Kachloul to spruce up the attack.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-68810774 A shame we’re too scared to do this for Ukraine.

If we don’t give out a load of free bbq flavoured crisps to the Preston fans traveling down for this (again) I’ll be disappointed. Come on Saints, somebody in catering have a sense of humour.
-
I doubt we’ve ever scored two goals in the same match, that were separated by 98 minutes. Must be a new record.

It would almost be tolerable if he didn’t just jog around, like he didn’t give a f**k, the rest of the time. If he was a proper Gattusso, blood and thunder, player who went into every challenge like his opponent had just slapped his wife, then I could forgive him for seeing the red mist occasionally.
-
It did look like Mara swung an arm at him as he ran past.

I don’t think I’ve gone that nuts at a goal since Gabbiadini equalised in the cup final. Absolute limbs, although truth be told it was far more than we deserved from that second half performance. I still don’t think we’ll trouble the top two but the weekend’s results will be more than a little laxative for the three above us.
