Managers change clubs all the time, all we did was wait until we were officially a Champ team to push the deal through, so we could pay less compensation. Football is business, people running football clubs don’t throw away millions over spite, especially over something like the Martin situation which was basically fair enough. What have they f**ked up? There’s still a week to go and we’ve already signed three players, with no obvious short comings in our squad. What have you promised yourself which SR haven’t delivered.

They’re a football club, not a primary school student. They will sell any player to any club if the deal was right, same as any other club.

I think most saints fans could have figured th out in April. In fact I’d say it’s pretty generic of any club getting relegated, especially one which spent big on trying not to the year before. There was always going to be a big differential between what we sold and what we bought.

To what purpose? He’s under contract for not her year, if we sell him it’ll be because we’ve received an acceptable offer and are presumably happy with either what’s left or what we’re getting to replace him.

That’s obviously not true though, is it. I think most Saints fans would agree Baz wasn’t up to it in the PL last season, but we’re not in that league now. I think he’ll do a decent job at this level and many people agree, including those running the club. This argument seems to have come from those insisting that we get rid of him, that we’ve definitely got the worst keepers in the Championship and that we certainly won’t get promoted with him in goal. Certain posters keep banging on about some meaningless stat which would literally have been better if Plymouth had hit three daisy cutters at Baz from 30 yards out and a goal we might have conceded, if a striker hadn’t been offside.

I’m not so sure. From most reports, he seems a bit like Rasiak, good at finding the next at this level but doesn’t have many other attributes that’ll trouble PL defenders. If this is his level, £12-15m is probably about right. £15-20m seems to be the going rate for a player who might be able to step up a league.

I can’t for the life of me see Swansea refusing to sell to us out of spite, if that’s what’s being implied. They’ll want as many bidders as possible competing, like we had with Lavia.

For Adams I agree, but I don't think we're looking to replace the likes of Paul and Djenepo. They can just leave.

When was the last time something like that ever happened to Saints? Even before SR, if we were selling our better players it was usually earlier on in the window and we had plenty of time to find replacements. I can't imagine we'd sell Adams unless we're almost certain there's a replacement lined up.

Statistically the goal Baz conceded at Plymouth and the one Taibi conceded against Tiss are both the same.

And the argument that people should be trading in perfectly decent cars to go and buy a sub £2k, 15 plus year old cheap banger to save the planet is even weaker.

Perhaps I should have been more specific. A ULEZ compliant car which is sub £2k, big enough for a family, well built, reliable, affordable to run, comfortable and as Weston pointed out doesn’t actually emit more pollution and cost more to tax as a result.
