Surely just, “you can stick your Mini Cheddars up your arse!”
-
It would have been a completely different game, you can’t just say we’d have definitely won, it’s nonsense. Fonte and Virgil played together under Puel in defeats against United, Chelsea, Arsenal and even the mighty Hull City, amongst several others. They were by no means infallible.
-
If you need the best defender in the world in order to keep your job then you probably aren’t a very good manager. More to the point, we played United earlier in the season, with Fonte and Virgil, and lost very comfortably 2-0. I’ve no idea where this idea of being ‘certain’ we’d have won the Cup comes from but it isn’t true and even with those two defenders, United would have been massive favourites. Whoever our manager was would’ve needed to cope with life after VvD/JF so if Puel couldn’t handle that then there was no point in keeping him.

Third behind Comet for me, although TBH I’m in no position to say no to any of them, even the original cast from 1992.

Perhaps they mean tonight.

The only ‘advice’ I want from him is Diamond’s phone number.

Nobody is stopping you dreaming. Dream of winning the league, beating Liverpool and winning the double if you want, it's no skin off my nose. There's a world of difference between optimism and wanting our closest rivals to win; actively hoping to compromise our chance of promotion, for a very remote shot at a title which is ultimately meaningless and symbolic.

It’s going to be the first season since 1436 that Bayern don’t win anything. If he became an undertaker, people would stop dying.
-
What definition of ‘The Championship’ are they using? Since 1992, since it was renamed from ‘Division 1’ or something else?

Five conceded in three consecutive home games for the Blades. Good effort.

Cant lose 5-0 if you’re not on the pitch. Always thinking three moves ahead is Mason.

I have absolutely no doubt at all that Saints can match Leicester’s form for the rest of the season and post a points total which would win the league in 90% of seasons. I have no doubt that we can beat Leicester if we play at our best and even close the gap to somewhere around 4-8 points by the end of the season, IF we can maintain our absolutely superb form since late September. I have no doubt we are capable of all of that. What we’re not going to do is overhaul an 11 point gap (effectively 12 with their vastly superior GD) on probably the best Championship team there’s ever been, in 14 games. It’s fantasy stuff and why anyone is pinning their hopes on that instead of the very real, neck and neck with Leeds I can’t fathom.

These threes always pop up around this point in the season, regardless of our position and league. In the Premier League it was usually people dreaming up fantasy scenarios whereby dreadful teams at the bottom of the table suddenly start averaging top four form for the rest of the season and we get relegated, having been ten points above the drop zone in March. We aren’t catching Leicester. We have consistently been 10-15 points behind all season and will remain so, even if they lose to Leeds and the gap ebbs and flows.
-
If we were level on points with them now, I’d say it was 50:50, on a knife edge and could go either way. Both teams are very strong, playing well and should average just over two point per game from here on. But we’re not level on points, they’re 11 ahead of us with 14 games left. We need to average almost a point per game more than them for the rest of the season. I would bet a large jar of marmalade that we will not catch Leicester.

I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would want anything other than a thumping Leicester win, if I'm being honest.
-
Maybe Bart over Niemi.
-
I wasn’t referring to their style of play or ability, just very specifically their body language on the ball.
-
This is a thread about hot guys, please try and stay on topic.
-
His style of touch, control and poise on the ball remind me a bit of De Ridder for some reason. Excellent performance from the bench yesterday.
-
Lovren probably worth a shout, Licka had a sort of Prince Charming from Shrek thing going on.

I agree, it’d be great to see Putin’s army of conscripted, alcoholic thugs committing war crimes across Eastern Europe, if it means we get to make snide remarks about Brexit.

Mara? He was bloody Teflon up front.
-
Three points from this week about par I’d say. Two very tricky away games out the way, gets that ‘away against the better sides’ monkey off our back too.

Daft from Sully, he had plenty of easy passes on.
