It’ll take him about three weeks to get there and turn around.

Given that… Ings was sold to Villa, where he immediately dropped to half the number of goals he ever scored under Ralph. Bednarek also went to Villa and couldn’t get into the team. Austin was sold to a Championship team and didn’t uproot any trees. Forster went to Spurs and is nothing other than backup. Stephens couldn’t get a better offer than battling relegation on loan at Bournemouth. Vestergaard is one of the most hated players in Leicester’s recent history. Bertrand isn’t too far behind. Long can’t buy a goal for love nor money in the Championship. Boufal, Valery, Romeu, Hoedt and Gabbiadini all went off abroad to relatively small, provincial clubs, never to be heard from again. The players we do have left at the club have achieved new levels of dreadful under Nathan Jones. …. I can only assume our players are the most belligerent bunch of prima donnas ever assembled in the history of football. They don’t seem to like any manager in Europe and not one of them has managed to find a ‘guvnor’ he is willing to ‘go a bit extra’ for.

So we’d have struggled if we’d signed Messi but were 11th with Danny Ings… Christ, I knew Ings was decent but I didn’t realise he was THAT good.

You misunderstand, when she says ‘serving squirrels’ she means the clientele.

He’s just bored because the Three Billygoats Gruff don’t come by much these days.
-
Probably because his one and only appearance being Blackpool at home in the FA Cup. He has only ever played two league games for us, shipping three against Arsenal and two against Palace. ‘Im not saying I rate Baz, far from it, but he is not some hapless, 1/10 keeper than some are claiming. More to the point we don’t have a better option and those clamouring for either WC, FF or AM are doing do so purely on the back of recency bias.

I can believe this virus originated from a Chinese biological research lab, rather than the official line of contaminated bats in a wet met market. I can also believe the Chinese government would release said virus if it was beneficial to their cause in some way (although that doesn’t appear to be the case in this instance and it seems like a genuine error). What I can’t believe is that if there is an evil, genius megalomaniac ready to unleash a murderous bio weapon on the world in a plot so convoluted it would stretch Moore-era James Bond, that said villain would be played by our very own jungle-dwelling, kangaroo bollock eating, Matt Hancock.

But they're not though. I'd say they were both 3-4/10 keepers, Willy marginally worse. Bazunu is 14 on the list of 'most saves' this season with 55, so for all his faults he has clearly done a reasonable amount right overall. I don't rate him but you talk as if every shot is Tiss vs. Taibi. https://www.premierleague.com/stats/top/players/saves

TBH I thought the only difference between yesterday and the Newcastle 1-4 game was the opponents finishing.
-
It wasn’t great but personally I’m more annoyed at AMN for completely losing his man there.
-
I think you’d know if your wife gave birth to a horse.
-
I’m not arguing anything contrary to any of that. Walcott is one name on a long list of players I don’t want to see here after the summer, Championship or otherwise.
-
You seem to be struggling to tell the difference between actual science and politicians. Matt Hancock being a slimy weasel is hardly news to anyone. As for omicron, I don’t I ever met anyone who was actually hysterical about it and I’d go as far as saying most people, even in the media, were calm and measured. Omicron was the variant we knew was highly transmissible but right from day one doctors and scientist were saying there was no evidence it was any more dangerous.

No thanks. He’ll be 34, has frequent injury problems and has been useless for 90% of the time he’s been here. I don’t care how well spoken he is, I can’t wait to see the back of him and half our squad.
-
There has never been a worse take on this forum than McC and Willy being substandard keepers, who won’t be an improvement on Bazunu? If we go down this season it’s because we have nothing resembling a remotely competent goal scorer in our entire squad. Our three main threats being a man who‘s better at scoring a 30 yard free kick than a penalty, a left back who isn’t even on the pitch and a guy who apparently rips his own legs off celebrating. Bazunu is a poor PL keeper but he’s not our main problem. Forster was not a massive reason we stayed up last year, he put in some awful performances in some of our worst games.
-
That’s how I saw that chance too. The centre halves lost Souttar, it was too far out for Baz but if he hadn’t come out and thrown himself at it, they would have had an unchallenged, free header. Of all the things you can criticise Baz for (his skewed clearance for E.g.) this wasn’t one of them.
-
Willy has conceded 15 goals in his last 8 PL apps, which are spread across four seasons. Only two of those were playing for Saints and he conceded five, so I have no idea where you are getting that opinion from. You can trawl some of last season’s McC threads if you want but it’s a bit scary before bed time.
-
Neither McC nor Willy are better. Neither is Forster for that matter, before someone mentions that one again. For better or worse, I’d stick with him and try to build a settled defence. Five games in a row of KWP, ABK, Sali and Perraud in front of him and we might look a bit more cohesive.
-
Really closing the gap in the Champions League race with Newcastle and Spurs losing.
-
Hit his standing leg and spoons the shot off into the car park. Absolutely useless.
-
Nobody running with him. Nobody.
-
Without VAR there’s a pretty good chance that goal gets disallowed completely by a lino who thought it looked off at first glance, so overall I’d say it’s a net positive.
-
Any other player we’ve got would have shat himself looking for someone to square it to.
-
Next time have a shot, Kamaldeen.

Can we move the penalty back about 15 yards please?
