If you’d watched Kelvin in 2012/13 you’d have said he was hopeless, at fault for a lot of goals, terrible kicking, flapping at crosses and regularly beaten at his near post. What makes you think that kind of keeping would be adequate in the Championship?

Ridiculous hyperbole, you honestly think we’d have done better last season with Ryan Alsop and Lee Nichols to choose from? Remember, Kelvin Davis was an excellent Championship keeper but hopeless in the PL, I don’t see any reason why Baz and McC would be a liability at this level.

All you're doing is drawing lines in the sand which, as far as I can tell, are completely arbitrary according to your own personal beliefs. Where exactly is the threshold for how much a person is allowed to earn before you can start questioning their morals? Footballers can already earn more money than they will ever need in the PL, thanks to a gargantuan TV deal involving £5bn from overseas broadcasters, including some in the ME, China and Burma. Surely they should all leave and earn their money in a more honest league without the dubious revenues?

He scored three league goals in his last two years here. He was barely an improvement on any of those other players and even if he was, that’s scarcely a legitimate brag. There are very few players from the last couple of years I’d be sad to see leave and Redmond wasn’t one of them.

I know a lot of people who’ve gone to the Middle East because they were offered more money than they’d earn in Europe. I very nearly did it myself once, that doesn’t mean I or they support the politics of the country concerned. How far do you take this, do you refuse to use any kind of powered transport because you’re likely financing a Middle Eastern regime?

Two years ago people were saying that about JWP, Long, Walcott, Romeu and Willy, all in the same squad... and we were still crap. Does anyone know what the laws are regarding non compliance with government in this country? Obviously people like Tiss having their cake and eating it by saying stuff like that, whilst continuing to use the schools, roads, hospitals, police, fire, refuse collection, airports, energy, water/sewage etc. is nonsensical. Supposing he did go and live off grid, as a wild man eating berries in rural scrubland, could he claim immunity from any laws or governance?
