Well… that’s f**king annoying.

Nope, you’ve made that up. He was talked about a lot as he was widely tipped as the favourite and we apparently made an approach in winter.
-
Sekou Mara has never looked good in any League at any point in his career. He’s made over 100 senior appearances and is barely into double figures for goals.

https://www.uefa.com/nationalassociations/uefarankings/country/?year=2025 Seems fairly reasonable, I can’t say that I’d disagree. I don’t know anything really about Still’s teams but I can’t see why he wouldn’t be able to cope with Championship football. It’s not like they release a flock of emus onto the pitch if it’s 0-0 at 75 minutes, or anything else he hasn’t seen before.

Based on doing absolutely bugger all for five different managers, even with a season in the Championship when Smallbone looked competent? Give it up, he’s the most obviously useless of the lot.
-
United are comfortably the better team, finishing 14 points ahead of Sunderland and still with parachute money.
-
Young Turner kept the game alive in the final session there, Sussex were walking away with it until he came into the attack. The wicket looked very green to my eye, it was pretty breezy out there too.

That’s in between rabies and calling the mother in law a fat whore in my preferred order of ways to depart this life.

Hypo - Be honest, if this was the method slated on the assisted dying bill, you’d be supporting it.

I already made up my mind when I saw Mr and Mrs Smith. I’ve been trying to get Angelina on board but she’s not replying to my tweets.

Not a Scooby Doo how much involvement he had in that. Downes and Manning were both very reasonable signings at the time. Fraser was a free, albeit a useless one.

Yeah, teenagers at a music festival are basically the same as a guy who was lawfully convicted of abducting, torturing, raping and murdering multiple women. Another new low reached in this thread.

A manager didn't sign him, the club did.

From 131-4 to 133-8.

Back to back wickets, so long to another handful of BP.
-
Given that said manager subbed him off after an hour of our fourth game of the season and he hasn’t started a game since, you would have to assume not.

What I find odd about it is that nobody, no matter how well we recruit, will be saying we’re definitely getting promoted top two by default next season. Predictions will range from promotion all the way down to successive relegations, and everything in between, as they did two years ago. The whole ‘promoted in spite of…’ logic is only applied retrospectively.
-
Well, we're about to get a second chance to see just how easy it is to get promoted in spite of a manager, so I guess we'll find out.
-
Up front we have AA, BBD, CA and RS (I'm going to hope and assume PO leaves) At FB we have CT, JB, RM, JL and maybe Welly. I'd say the latter list is considerably weaker at Championship level.
-
We need to spend far more attention, not to mention money, on our creative midfielders and fullbacks this summer. Fernandes will be off and most likely Lallana and Fraser will too. I'd want better than Sully, Dibling and Edozie, assuming they stick around, to provide the supply.

😆 You so obviously are and have consistently shown nothing but disdain for anything to do with Martin, even things which are undeniably solid achievements. You talk as if everything we did last season was just a default setting, like we were just get given 'winning the playoffs' as an assumed achievement at the start of the season and it was up to Martin to get us above Leicester. We were 'only marginally better than' the Champions over a sustained period of 4.5 months unbeaten. If that underwhelms you, then I wouldn't get your hopes up for next season.
-
After Bazunu got injured we lost three of our last five and fell away from the autos. We still finished on 87 points, which for reference is one less than Adkins and I don't hear many complaints about him.
-
Teams around us like champions Leicester, who lost three and drew three in the same period of time? Nobody is calling it a miracle except the people who feel the need to sarcastically undermine what was a pretty good achievement.
-
16 wins and 6 draws between September and February. 54 points in 22 games. I'd take a similar 'statistical quirk' at some point next season.
-
Glad Spurs won that, as with no European football next season the misery is just beginning for United.
