For a grotty, wet, cold, midweek, nailed-on defeat, live on TV, two weeks after Christmas, that’s not bad really.

I get that but some people act as if 9-0 is our go to score and have been predicting it every time we’ve played a top six team, ever since. We’ve had far more surprise wins than 9-0s against these teams over the last few years.

Why though? It’s not like in the league where GD counts. It doesn’t matter if we lose 1-0 or 6-0.

So we’ve just abandoned the concept of any kind of play maker then.

Forster wasn’t the answer either and is just the latest name on the list of players who’ve suddenly become better with hindsight, after they’ve left. Of all the issues in our squad, it astonishes me most that we’ve been such an absolute mess between the sticks for so long. It doesn’t look like getting better any time soon, either.
