  1. As monumentally impressive as it is to actually be bothered to put that endless stream of sewage into some sort of order, I’ll have to disagree with the Arsenal games. The home game was a hard fought draw against a team who’d literally won every league game except Liverpool at that point, they were on fire. The recent trip to the Emirates by contrast was against a team badly lacking confidence who’d basically bottled it. They handed us two very soft goals and we still transpired to chuck a 3-1 lead in the 88th minute and looked almost certain to lose it thereafter.
  2. I guess the collective world leaders have just decided they’re a bit bored with total global obedience and given up, just like that. I reckon it’ll be pogs back in fashion next.

    Russia

I don’t see why the counter offensive would be at Bakhmut, it’s of little strategic value and seems to have become a symbol of obstinance from both sides more than anything. I’m guessing they’ll try and cut under the Russian lines in Kherson oblast and try to cut the forces to the north off from resupply from Crimea. Or possibly punch down towards Melitopol and cut them off from the East.
  4. Burnley fans went one better and got a joke about Maxwell Cornet being on loan into the national press.
  5. Reminds me of the evening after our JPT win.
  6. This trope keeps popping up despite the elephant in the room that not one of our attacking players, young or old, has looked anything approaching competent since Walcott rejoined us. For all his supposed guidance and good example to our youngsters; Obafemi, N’Lundulu and Tella have looked useless for us and ended up getting farmed out to lower league clubs. In fact the latter of the three seems to relish playing and training with Ashley Barnes and Jay Rodriguez far more than he ever did with Walcott.
  7. I’d say she was pretty hot personally.
  8. I'd disagree and say that most of the players who've appeared in our back five this season should be good enough for a Championship promotion fight. Baz, Tino, Bednarek, DCC and Perraud should be more than capable at that level, with Lyanco a useful option too. It's further forward we need the clean out; Walcott, Moi, Orsic, Diallo, Djenepo and both Armstrongs can leave, on top of the predicted loss of JWP and Lavia.
  9. He’s just turned 18, he’ll be given games if and when he’s ready for it. There’s no point just chucking him in for the sake of it.
  10. It comes to something when there’re around half a dozen games which people are declaring as, “undoubtedly that one.” So many absolute stinkers in one season.
  11. I wish people wouldn't cling on to these Star Wars puns.
  12. It has to be Grimsby, to be that dreadful against a struggling League 2 team at home was an all time low. I don’t think we even managed that under Burley or Poortvliet. Lincoln, Forest, Bournemouth and Wolves are solid nominations for varying reasons. Anyone who says Newcastle at home clearly wasn’t watching. On another day that game’s 2-2 and they’re a decent side.
  13. I think our owners may have jumped the shark here. We’ve crossed the line from incompetence to needing a CT scan and a radon survey. Since when did managers offer contracts?
  14. TBF, you’d struggle to find many Saints fans who find Saints likeable at the moment.
  15. They’re the flavour of the month because of the whole Netflix/Hollywood thing. Not really surprising I guess, as a lot of people will have been following with mild interest.
  16. I’m not sure about that, they seem to be in enough trouble with PL income. They may need to offload a few just to balance the books. The likes of Pickford, Tarkowski, Doucoure, Iwobi, Maupay, Begovic, Keane, Townsend and McNeil all came from PL rivals, and would probably have taken a decent pay rise to do so. Hat squad will need major surgery in summer. Having said that, I just know the jammy buggers will get out of it with an unlikely win against City and another against Bournemouth on the last day.
  17. In that case, we’re better off getting Lampard, Gerrard or Red Nev. Not that I believe there’s any truth to this rumour but I don’t want Fonte back here at all; player, manager or otherwise. If he goes somewhere and proves his credentials then he’s worth considering but to bet next season’s promotion on pointless sentimentality is just weird IMO.
  18. Agree, I don’t know why anyone would think the two teams who’ve been promoted from that league recently would be the weakest. There are plenty of people at Leeds and Forest who will know what it takes to come straight back up. I want Everton down for two reasons: It’s hilarious They have some decent players mixed in with all the dross, who will be straight out the door.
  19. 12 years ago on May 2nd, we woke up to the news that Bin Laden had been killed, then got promoted away to Plymouth.
  20. Behind the goal, in a stand where we can easily adjust the segregation depending on ticket sales, like they do in around 90% of grounds I’ve been to.
  21. Never been so happy to see rat boy score.
  22. Can’t say I particularly have an issue with that. At the ground, after the game I’d expect the players to put a bit more of an effort into it but at their hotel I think they’re entitled to be left alone.
  23. I read this to the tune of Rockafellar Skank, perhaps we could start a chant?
  24. If you did, you’d take the gong for, “player with the most precise aim,” of the season.
