  1. Plus, even his most ardent critic would admit Ralph has had a limited squad to work with. Gareth can’t create a goal from a free choice of Kane, Foden, Mount, Grealish, Maddison, Sterling, Saka, Rashford, Bowen and Abraham .
  2. Meh, no worse than playing league football at that time of year. Here comes Gabbi to seal the deal.
  3. Because you'd have to pay extra for Babe Station?
  4. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/world-asia-india-62971516 It's funny, I saw this article pop up on the BBC Facebook page earlier. Lots of women (who seemed to have a chip on their shoulder) were commenting along the lines of it being good that men should be able to feel a woman's pain. We've now proven, obviously, that none of that's true, periods have nothing to do with being a woman and to claim as such is transphobic to all the men who menstruate and women who can't.

After seeing the queues of desperate women and children trying to cross the Polish border back in February, it does make me smile seeing this footage of grown men fleeing to Georgia, Mongolia and Finland.
  6. Isn’t that what the Dutch put in a trifle?

Should get some good discounts on mail order Russian brides if Putin really does chuck one million young men into the blender.
  8. It’s been a decent season across all formats, the 16.4 not included. Can’t be mad at winning 9/13 and the RLC season was cracking, won every game except for that trip to Wales in the group and just edged by the eventual winners in the semi. Some talented young lads getting plenty of game time too.
  9. Well, we made it respectable-ish in the end but we’d only have needed 135 in our first innings to win that (butterfly effect not withstanding).
  10. Ralph was so lucky he had Elyounoussi, Bednarek, Vestergaard and Long to call upon, instead of those wastes of space.
  11. Puel, with half a season of Fonte and VVD, lost the same number of games as Ralph did last season, 16.

Bloody kids, leaving their Micro Machines at the top of the stairs. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11234941/Russian-former-head-Moscow-Aviation-Institute-dies-falling-flights-stairs.html
  13. Fonte won the Euro’s, was coming up on 33, had a year left on his current deal and asked his agent, Jorges Mendes no less, to cash in. Thankfully, one of the few things you can credit Les for in his later years here, we didn’t budge and we’re only willing to offer him a one year deal. West Ham were willing to offer two, we cashed in and he left. There’s nothing wrong with any of that, nobody was forced into anything and Fonte’s career wasn’t ruined by being denied a Thursday night trip to Israel.

I dread to think what would have happened in Ukraine if the Wotsit skinned man-baby and the anti-NATO, nuclear disarmament pacifist had won their respective elections.

From a political POV a large amount of Chinese military hardware is Russian/Soviet stuff which has been copied/sold/built on license. If the Chinese see this tech getting an absolute arse whopping in Ukraine, against western weapons, it severely weakens their confidence and resolve on other issues, like Taiwan. Pretty strong motivation for the USA to win, if you ask me.

I’m not comparing Gorbachev to Putin, I’m highlighting the absolutely catastrophic impact nuclear fallout has on the credibility of a regime and the support of its population. Im not saying there will never be another nuclear strike anywhere In the world, ever. I am saying that it won’t be over the Donbas region against a country backed by NATO.
  18. Decided to pop down today, what with the weather being nice. No chance of a Hants victory though, shame.

I think some people have seen too many Tom Clancy novel/movies. Gorbachev even said in his memories that Chernobyl was the biggest trigger in the demise of the Soviet Union and that was an accident. Nuclear holocaust really isn't a popular phrase in any language and unless there's a genuine existential threat to Russia itself, it's not going to happen. It's not possible to be this paranoid about the west AND launch an unprovoked nuclear first strike against their allies.
  20. Oh okay, so a player we signed when Puel was manager wasn’t necessarily the player he actually wanted to sign?
  21. But Redmond, Boufal and Caceres were all his signings, replacing Koeman’s old players. Why would they make the team worse?
  22. The weird thing about Puel was that when VVD got injured and we signed Caceres, it didn't seem to improve the team.

Whatever he decides to try when he runs out of meat and metal to throw into the grinder, it wont be nuclear weapons. If he orders that, people will stop him, the military will refuse to launch.

He won’t use nuclear weapons, it is just rhetoric. He’s desperate, sure but he will need the military to launch such weapons and they won’t do that unless the west launches first. As soon as people start doing that we’re into entire cities being vapourised territory. Nobody wants that, they’re just trying to scare the west.
