I just love the idea of Bill Gates playing The Sims with real people.

Vest gets disqualified immediately because Leicester paid slightly more than we bought him for, IIRC. Truly ludicrous that we made a profit on a player who manoeuvres at the pace of moss growing across some damp pebbles. Prutton never really delivered but was okay at times, I can’t say he was all that bad for £2.5m. Certainly better than players we signed for similar amounts at a similar time - Tin Man, Delap, JVD and Jakobsson spring to mind. McCann… I can’t say he was that expensive at £1.5m, just such an underwhelming, anticlimax of a signing after we’d just played in a cup final, finished 8th and sold Bridge for a massive fee. Juanmi I’d put in a bracket with Yahia, Mayuka and a handful of others. Cheap, foreign unknown. Worth a punt but hardly devastating financially.

It’s amazing how all the people droning on about government control, sheep, project fear, the narrative and how, “we will never get our freedoms back,” are the ones still obsessing over this over a year after it ceased to be a real issue. Here I am, living my life like it’s 2019 again, because apparently I’m not free enough to spend my life dredging Twitter for anonymous accounts posting about myocarditis and other bollocks. When MLT’s own ‘research’ includes a footballer collapsing who hadn’t actually been vaccinated and some old boy at a lower league match (may have been Notts Co. Can’t remember now) who slipped on wet stairs and banged his head, I think I’ll be close minded and just ignore him. That’s before we get into the whole, “mainstream media are lying about the raped corpses of teenage girls in Bucha,” post which was frankly disgusting and inexcusable.

I guess, "deaths 3.5x higher," makes for a better headline than, "11 deaths when we’d normally expect 3."

Fair enough, although in the grand scheme of things it doesn’t change all that much. We rotated our squad in Europe and he left because he wanted to leave.
-
The last reference I can find to him signing a contract was this.
-
He was never frozen out, it was simple squad rotation. To me it seems perfectly sensible not to expect a 33 year old to play every league and European game. I’ve criticised Puel for a lot but I think he had this one right. You may disagree with that choice but it wasn’t a case of ‘freezing’ Fonte out. Likewise with his contract, it was a choice between selling him for £8m or letting him leave for free in summer.

Bargain team (not including academy and loans) Boruc Clyne Fonte Richards Bertrand Morgan Marsden Kachloul Davis Pahars Beattie They saw us coming: Gunn Nilsson Powell* Hoedt Van Damme Elyounoussi Delap Clasie Onuachu Delgado Carrillo *I know he was free. I consider this to be overpriced.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Keith A*sew*nk.

No chance, it would be like trying to sue Ford because your child was killed by a drink driver. The NRA have done nothing illegal, they’ll just claim they’re upholding the constitution and some b*llocks about what a responsible gun owner should do.
-
Nothing will change until someone uses a gun to kill an unborn embryo, then the republicans will properly lose their sh*t.

I'm surprised that people don't get this. Chapter 1 of how to sell something, step 1: It's not for sale. His job was to get the best possible price for any players who were sold, not say nice things for people on an internet message board. If anyone was buying STs solely on the promise that none of our players would be sold, more fool them IMO.
-
Perhaps he was listening to The Now Show with Punt and Dennis. It gives me a chuckle on a long drive.

Really sad to see, they're being forced to sell their prized dugouts to raise funds. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175326669735?hash=item28d248aba7:g:j3YAAOSwmXxisZvW&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAA4Je8%2Btgu8VxorZuSMyKzVJXtxRI89i14UJpCnCBL5zdPV33B%2FiIYJlXUTsap4%2FE0k%2BoAgAFdOpowTKvcby7Jq0uRhBgxmzrQXkFlrHdh1CQG4RCDGSypJ5ygP3F3ZYZMnNkipJxmY%2Bt0Uawr7%2BYJZvwa8e0FyJEqtvmHd%2BNvTK65JGbQRwSVg1NvIGdHyNJwMus8SReOa06Vs2i6Su93xts3nUhJkFESXx9NpFOb3fplG5rHxSZNBZx8LMsCJMORNmxlcEUMclnve9D7Dm2VYb6dlG8gMMzl0n0yCeY8o3uJ|tkp%3ABFBMmPT5yOJh

When shall we have a serious talk about how much of your house I own? I want the dining room, minimum, and if you give me that I promise I definitely won’t try to take the kitchen in five years time. Nope, definitely not,

https://time.com/6150046/ukraine-statehood-russia-history-putin/ Here you go, sport. Have a good night.

Phillips is unquestionably a better player than JWP and has been excellent for England. You can’t just pick a new team every six months depending on who’s flavour of the month. JWP himself was largely crap before the WC when Lavia was injured.

A familiar face sharing a few thoughts ahead of Ireland vs. Latvia.

It raises an interesting question on to what extent it's acceptable to practice your beliefs, if it's to the detriment of your employer. Supposing you follow religion X and you spend a month drinking wine until 2am every night to celebrate the life of your prophet; should your boss simply accept you coming to work hungover every morning as exercising your beliefs.

It amazes me how keen some people are to hand out new contracts off the back of such small crumbs of form. Walcott is 34, has had many fitness problems and I believe that was his first goal for two years at the weekend. I’m not buying the, "good in the changing room/with the younger players," line either. I’m sure he’s a great bloke but our team looks mentally frail and pretty much all of our young attacking players have looked useless in the last few years. We had the same with Shane Long a year ago, scoring a goal in a sub appearance against Everton and suddenly he was, "a useful option… give him a new contract," etc. Whatever special talent these guys have, we can live without it. They’re just a sad avatar for how low our expectations are.
-
Why is that specific to ‘our moron fans’? That’s pretty bog standard for the majority of players returning to play against any former clubs and the reception they receive.
-
Even with all those dreadful results under Jones, all we had to do was not throw away a 1-0 lead at home to a crap, ten man Wolves team and we’d be 15th.
-
Nothing relating to Jones would have been justification for appointing Dyche. Sure, the latter is a better manager than the former but so is pretty much any other option we had available, including not sacking Ralph at all, or sacking him and just having Selles in charge.
