Oh, is that where he was trying to play? I couldn't figure it out at the time.

I think there's a whiff of Vignal about him. Committed, French LB. Not a world beater but has the potential to be a bit of a cult hero with his tenacity.

Who could forget, the only 12 minutes of Alan Tchaptchet’s professional football career.

Love it when fullbacks have a smash from that kind of position, wish it had gone in. It’s the biggest difference between this season and last IMO. Having three quality fullbacks gives us the options and the rotation Ralph has been craving to play with this intensity. The second half of last season it was just KWP, when fit, and Bertrand stamping his timesheet on the other side.

Pearce just called Spurs offside free kick, "bad defending." Since when was holding your defensive line perfectly so that five attacking players are a good yard offside ‘bad defending’?

First on MotD, just starting.

Well, HT. I think we all know how it goes from here.

The Albanian Drogba. Great stuff.

"That faaaackin' c**t 'ad it coming to 'im," apparently.

If the Watford fans aren't meowing every time he touches the ball, I'll be disappointed.

The Minsk Memorial Thread (and continuation of his work)
Lighthouse replied to Minsk's topic in The Saints
Sorry I’m late to the party on this, I can only echo what others have said. I’ve enjoyed your postings since the Saints Forever days Minsk, I hope the time you have left is as fulfilling as possible. -
Is there a rule against herding them into some sort of razor wire lined compound on the gasworks site? Do they legally have to be able to see the pitch?

Big teams all avoiding each other again. Home to West Ham…. Meh.

If internet explorer was a footballer…

Not a patch on those Indian actors though. The way they laid perfectly still on those funeral pyres, even with all the smoke and flames, is true dedication to our great and noble cause.

That could be an interesting thread actually; what would you donate £100 to charity for someone to do? Obviously for a decent chunk of dough like that, it’d have to be something impressive and unusual.
-
That would involved Ralph losing the plot, putting out a truly hopeless team every week, with Romeu at LB, Long starting ahead of Broja most games and sending the latter on for the last 5 minutes when we're 3-0 down. I don't think that's likely to happen.

Don’t forget the floppy willies.

If they don't it'll be proof there is a god.

I don't really think it works like that any more. The difference in gate receipts between us and a club like Leeds, Sunderland or Wednesday probably buys Paul Pogba's watch these days. TV money just dwarfs everything and the League can only sustain a certain threshold of sugar daddies, trying to buy Champions League football. We've basically reached that now with about 12 clubs all after the top four places. You end up with situations like Everton have, spending half a billion and in the bottom third.

Should have taken Djokovic instead of Hameed. It took the Aussies two weeks to get him out.

I think watching them put in the most hapless attempt at a Premier League season of all time was probably karmic balance enough for that playoff game, galling though it was at the time.
