  1. Obviously we want Saints to win, it’s just such an inane and pointless thing to be saying, “I wish we were -whichever team happens to be winning at the moment-“ Leeds have won two in a row. Brilliant but before that they had two points from eight games.
  2. Good shout cat, I’d broadly agree with that. If I want celebrations, I’ll just buy a full size Twix, Mars or Milky Way. Next list: Yule Log/choc roulade Mince Pies Xmas cake Xmas pudding Trifle Panettone
  3. Have a day off. Adams, Salisu and Stu wont attract anyone better than relegation strugglers. Tino, Baz and DCC are far from proven players. AMN has looked like a fish up a tree for the most part and marginally less crap in his last game. Lavia and ABK will be in demand. JWP and KWP will probably end up somewhere like Everton or West Ham, superstars they are not.
  4. Weird how all the comments are, “I wish we were Leeds/Brighton,” and not, “thank god we aren’t Wolves/Bournemouth.”
  5. It's only there because I can't stand the taste of most nuts. If it wasn't for that, I'd agree; bottom of the list.
  6. Since the festive season is on the way, what's your preference? This is the correct answer but feel free to add your own inaccurate musings. Orange Cream Strawberry Cream Orange Crunch Fudge Fondant Truffle Block Toffee Finger Toffee Penny Caramel Cup Coconut Eclair Honeycomb Crunch Hazelnut Triangle Hazelnut Caramel
  7. Which is why we have AMN and ID as back up. You can say what you like about their performances, we’re not going to find many better willing to sit on our bench and within our price range. We’ve literally replaced Romeu with two players, it’s erroneous to claim we’ve left ourselves short somewhere.
  8. This is only being discussed at all because of Lavia’s injury. Without that we’d all be raving about how much more dynamic our midfield is now, Diallo and AMN would be consigned to the bench and nobody would be entertaining the idea of having a fifth CM on the books.
  9. Watford under a lot of pressure in the first ten minutes. Bachmann really in overdrive.

Laugh all you want, that'll buy a brand new Lada.
  11. On the subject of Corden, one of his writers has stitched him right up here.
  12. It’s not relevant, that whole post is just empty whataboutery. If you genuinely can’t see why we (Britain and the EU) might have more of a vested interested in a nuclear armed genocidal dictator trying to get the USSR back together, than a civil war with Houthi rebels, I can’t explain it to you. I don’t care what he wants, he doesn’t have a prayer of delivering on it. Nuclear weapons are Putin’s last big chip on the world stage, he isn’t letting go of them. If he wants to end all war, he can go and be Miss Teen America and cure cancer whilst he’s at it.
  13. I give a sh*t. So do Ukrainians, Lithuanians, Finns, Estonians, Poles, Slovaks, Hungarians and Latvians. Why you’re randomly bringing up an invasion from two decades again in defence of Corbyn, and what relevance it has to anything, I don’t know. This seems a bizarre view for someone who’s pro-EU on the Brexit thread.
  14. Me neither, looks like these toffee onions may be going in the bin.
  15. This is a delusion that the far left of Labour have long clung to, that anyone who doesn’t like them must have been brainwashed by the right wing press and cultural rhetoric. If Europe was run by people like Corbyn, forget Brexit the EU would cease to exist. Putin would have annexed half of the countries in it, whilst Jezza sat there dismantling our nuclear deterrent and lecturing us about how it’s all our fault, NATO expanded too aggressively. I don’t need the Daily Mail to tell me that, he’s said as much from his own mouth and was tweeting his support for an anti-NATO rally even as tanks were rolling towards Kyiv. As for Owen Jones; he’s a nasty, angry misogynist, hell bent on denying the existence of women in any meaningful context, instead labelling them as ‘birth givers’ and ‘chest feeders’, whilst unilaterally assuming their consent for grown men to see them naked in a changing room. He seems to have it in for Starmer for daring to be electable and replacing his idealistic poster boy.
  16. Good, one fewer right wing crackpot ruling the world. I can’t imagine his hopeless Covid denial and stubborn inaction did him too many favours.
  17. They’ve got an open goal, they just need to tap it in. No taking the knee No confirming their pronouns No suggestions of 8pm curfews for men, even as a joke, when a woman is assaulted No CND stuff No Dianne Abbott No Owen Jones Just don’t even mention Israel, or anything related to Judaism, full stop.
  18. You can but those parties seem to be increasingly sparse these days. Those women all have kids now, born in late July.
  19. Halloween parties always used to be the best of the year, IMO. Seeing all the girls I know choosing between: Slutty cat Slutty cheerleader Slutty nurse Slutty witch Slutty nun Slutty Disney princess Slutty prostitute Slutty devil
  20. The "other players out there who have scored more goals," which were mention in Billy's post. Yes, I agree entirely but he didn't because he's a substandard PL player, even though he's our best striker. I'm not defending Che Adams, I'm saying he's the best we've been able to afford in the last few years.
  21. Just looking at last years top scorers, the only players with double figures who would have been in our price range are: Jamie Vardy, signed for £2m in the Championship, ten years ago and struggled to start with even at that level. Teemu Pukki, Norwich picked him up on a free. Fair play but 10 and 11 goals in two campaigns is hardly astonishing. Emmanuel Dennis, scraped ten goals thanks to a patch of six in two months around Christmas. Has three goals in 2022. So I'm afraid I'm still none the wiser, really.
  22. Well, Adams scored 7 PL goals last season and has 3 so far this season, whereas Edouard had 6 last season and 3 this, but okay.
  23. Which reliable premier league scorers, available for £15m, are you referring to, just out of interest?
  24. All you’re doing is cherry picking other teams better results and saying we should be like that, without ever actually explaining what, “have a go at,” actually means. What do you want us to do, commit more men forwards and leave more space in behind? You mention Leeds and Forrest against Liverpool but not Bournemouth, why’s that? Leicester lost 6-2 at Spurs, Forrest themselves lost 6-0 at City, even Man Utd found themselves 4-0 down at HT against City.
