There’s no point, at this stage of the season, worrying about good and bad results for the teams around us. Whatever goes on in the other games, somewhere around 40 points almost always guarantees safety, come May. Worrying about Leicester, Wolves and Palace 10 games into the season is like raking custard up hill.

You've completely missed the point on survivorship bias, I can't be bothered explaining it in any more depth. Saying you were right not to get vaccinated because you're fit, healthy and under fifty is as asinine as saying you were right not to wear a seat belt because you're a good driver and you've never had an accident. There was a virus, it was bad, we developed a vaccine and thanks to the c.92% of people who took it the world is back to normal. By some bizarre paradox it's the people who insisted that it wasn't dangerous the whole time who are still obsessively dragging it up, eight months after it ceased being a major issue.

It’s almost impossible to prove one way or the other, there are simply too many variables which could affect the data. The immune strength of person A. The immune strength of person B. How long person A has had the virus. How long person A has been vaccinated. The viral load person A was exposed to when they were infected. How many times person A coughs, or sneezes or if they are just breathing normally. Whether person B has been infected with a similar variant before. The atmospheric conditions and ventilation in the room the tests are being conducted. I could probably think of half a dozen more if I could be bothered, needless to say it’s not something you can realistically test in laboratory conditions. Sadly it hasn’t stopped the tin foil hat brigade from seizing upon the assertion that they were right not to get jabbed.

Yesterday I had the heating off and in the evening it started to feel a bit chilly inside. The thermostat reads 19C, so I turn the heating on and set the temperature to 20C. The thermostat immediately decides it's actually 19.5C, and that's close enough, so doesn't bother turning the heating on. I couldn't decide whether to be annoyed or genuinely impressed that my heating system is a sentient being which apparently shares my laziness.

It wasn’t tested but it was very likely based on how viruses behave. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that if you’re less severely ill for a shorter period of time, you’re probably less likely to pass it around. There’s also the fact that lots of people are stupid and say stuff like, "I’m fit and healthy and trust my immune system," so don’t get vaccinated. The best way to connect with them might be to point out that they’re putting others, including elderly loved ones, at risk.

I don’t agree with him on that, the team has the potential to be better and has already shown some improvements in areas. I think we’re being badly let down by the form of our three fit central midfielders and Lavia’s injury.

ABK and Lavia are both clearly decent. In the four games both have played, we have seven points. The rest we’re going to need to be patient with, although Baz and Aribo have shown intermittent positive moments. We did bring in a striker. I’d have liked another but we did bring in Mara however you try and dress it up.

I said that at the time because I think we did as well as we could with the money we had available. Clearly SR are not super rich and will be spending modestly. The players we've signed look promising but most of them have yet to deliver, so the jury is out. I think we were right to try what we did, rather than sign a bunch more Armstrongs and Mois, which realistically is what we can afford.

What is it you think you have proof/evidence of there? Assuming this guy isn’t misquoting what he was told, the fact that they weren’t able to test how the vaccine affects transmissibility at the time of introduction isn’t really news. It was tested in laboratories and on volunteers for its effects on the virus and more importantly to ensure there were no significant negative side effects. You can’t test it for real world transmission because there are far too many variables in the real world; time and distance people spent in contact with each other, ventilation, number of people together, atmospheric conditions etc. All they could really say was that based on the science it should reduce the rate of infection.

It was our best transfer window since 2014, that doesn’t mean we don’t still have one of the weakest squads in the league. It was sh*te before, it’s better now, it’s still a long way off being competitive.

I'm judging them both on this season. Rodgers has four points and recently bottled a winning position against Bournemouth. We have seven with worse players. In the last four years Vardy has scored 18, 23, 17, 17. Last season Leicester finished on 52 points. The season Ings was banging them in for us, Ralph's team got exactly the same, 52 points. Now Vardy can't hit a cow's a*se with a banjo, Leicester are on their way to relegation, so what is it you think Rodger's is going to do with either Che Adams and Sekou Mara to get them averaging 19 goals a season?
