  1. We were going to play it at 1945 but Austrian leaders were a bit out of fashion then.
  2. Relatively short turn around. Couldn’t even guess at which way this one will go.
  3. Cheers, this was all booked weeks ago, before the current surge and new variant. Back then it looked like everything was going to sell out as everyone had gone two years without and was desperate to get back on it.
  4. I’m not even sure what you think that is supposed to represent, even if it was in some way credible.
  5. Meh, I never stopped personally. Now I’m worried about my ski holiday in January, surely they can’t cancel another season.
  6. Palatable as opposed to what? Liverpool have just beaten Man Utd and Watford 5-0, Arsenal 4-0, Porto 5-1, Norwich, Palace and Leeds 3-0. This is routine stuff.
  7. Meh. Like I said, we gave it a go. The alternative is basically what we got under Puel, a nice safe 2-0 defeat in most of our games against the bigger teams. We never looked like getting embarrassed but we never looked like troubling our opponents either. Steady and disciplined, they could just play it easily around in front of us like a training exercise. I wouldn’t want that again, I much prefer going into big games knowing it could go like it did today or like it did at the Etihad.
  8. Probably because Liverpool would have spent all week practicing how to break down our expected formation and watching footage of our games against other big sides. Ralph had a plan, it was the wrong plan but he gave it a go and tried something to catch them on the back foot, which is what you need to get a result in these games. I don’t see how playing 4-2-2-2 with Redmond and Moi would have yielded anything better result wise.
  9. We’ve not lost any other game by more than two goals this season and that includes Chelsea, where we were drawing until a silly foul on 70 minutes, and Everton away.
  10. We aren’t clueless and even if we lost 9-0 again I still wouldn’t sack Ralph. Our results generally reflect where we are - a 12th-17th place team. Any team who is forced to play McCarthy and Bednarek, who are both Championship level players, every week is going to have issues defensively. Before anyone says Forster, he is no better; stays rooted to his line and goes down like a tree to any low shot.
  11. Another fan has collapsed at Hillsborough. Since when has stopping the game and having the team’s medical personnel from the dugout attend the incident been a thing? Are there not basic first responders dotted around the stadium? I’d have thought having a couple of St John’s guys in the Itchen and Kingsland would have been a basic requirement.
  12. I can’t really think of a more practical solution to it all. Up until now the delta variant has been dominant worldwide, so a bloke bringing it in from Bolivia is no different to catching it from a bloke in Turtle Bay.
  13. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-gloucestershire-59405471.amp 11% of people making up 75% of hospital admissions. They all couldn’t get sick because they’re young, healthy, did their own research and trust their immune system, obviously.
  14. These posts have no bearing on reality or anything I, or anyone else, has posted. I think somebody just needs people to talk to.
  15. Tiss and Lambert are on the vaccine/heart attack theory like rats on a ham sandwich. 🙄 Why did it have to be them of all our ex. players. If it had just been Craig Maskell and Zoltan Liptak, I wouldn't have cared.
  16. I would imagine the older and at risk segment of the population wouldn't object at all, as they don't with their annual flu jabs. I would also imagine we'll see an increase in off the shelf, oral medication which you will be able to take at home without medical assistance, which will help mediate the situation.
  17. You're right, I misread the list. Ignore me. Still, longest serving manager in three decades is an achievement.
  18. Just checked and Ralph is tied on 128 matches in charge, along with a certain Mr I. Branfoot and four more than Adkins. After the Liverpool game he will be our longest serving manager, in terms of matches, since Ted left in 1973.
  19. When the vaccines were first produced, the companies involved claimed they could be easily adapted within a matter of weeks to account for new variants. You would hope and expect they're already all over this..
  20. For somebody who has such incredible abilities to understand things, you seem to struggle to understand things.
  21. If this is all about fear and control, why are all our favourite crackpot dictators the ones downplaying it so much? China, last time I check, had a rather hilarious official death toll of around 5,000. Russia are keeping it all hush hush, no crisis here, uncle Vlad has everything under control. Bolsonaro (okay he’s elected but he’s a fascist crackpot) saying everything’s fine, no need for restrictions, crack on. North Korea - nope doesn’t exist, we have zero cases. No, it’s the west European liberal democracies, they’re the ones desperate for absolute control.
  22. I wouldn’t watch but it would actually give people more time to buy and drink their pints of lukewarm p*ss. Could be an alright idea.
  23. In May Valtteri Bottas had a tyre failure at the Monaco Grand Prix. 2 days later Erikssen suffers a cardiac arrest during a game. On Sunday Valtteri Bottas had a tyre failure at the Qatar Grand Prix. 2 days later Fleck collapses during a game. Makes you think, doesn’t it.
  24. Every time they re-register it's another £5 in the curry pot.
  25. Surely you know that in detail, already? You've already asserted that a black man carrying an assault rifle basically has a 100% chance of death, I was rather hoping you'd be able to provide me with those stats.
