  1. Motorway service stations. Being able to pull in and have a p*ss for free, then choose between any four from McDonald’s, BK, Pizza Express, KFC, Road Chef, M&S, Smiths, Waitrose, Starbucks or Costa is absolute paradise compared to anything I’ve seen on the continent. Usually €0.50 in a machine which only takes loose change, not card, followed by a p*ss into a urinal which is hanging off the wall and leaking everywhere. Then onto the food court, which normally just involves a choice of 5 different stale, dried out chicken sandwiches from a vending machine in a Relay.
  2. I call dibs on the slightly card happy, narcissistic referee.
  3. Protestors at the Queen’s funeral proceedings who are clearly just desperate to be arrested so they can feel oppressed. That includes the people who swallow it hook, line and sinker and are on SM bleating about how this is just like Putin/Russia. No you aren’t, you’re being arrested/moved on for a public order offence at a state funeral. You can go to Buck Palace, Westminster or wherever you want and wave your signs 24/7, nobody will stop you. Doing it at the Queen’s funeral will lead to an angry mob beating the living sh*te out of you.

As I said, he doesn’t have a the capability on his own without the obedience of the military. I think people are massively underestimating what a massive deal an unprovoked, nuclear first strike is. These weapons have only ever been used once in anger. 80 years ago, to end a world war, when no other country on the planet had the capability to respond. Remember, the whole country has been driven to paranoia by anti-NATO propaganda, completely of their own volition. There is no way they’re going to try and bluff us on nuclear weapons. Not when half of theirs probably don’t work anyway.

Cornered rats don’t turn around and bite into the nearest electrical cable in the hope that somehow it’ll all be fine. As ridiculous as the Russian mantra has been across this whole circus, nuking your neighbour, who has the military backing of NATO states in the USA and UK, is an entirely different level. That’s one step away from every man and his dog being blown into radioactive dust. In the Cold War, the fear of all out nuclear annihilation wasn’t just a western thing. It kept the average Russian awake at night too at times, such as the Cuban Missile Crisis. It’s not something anyone other than perhaps a deranged Putin would take steps towards.

I don’t see how and with what rationale. For a start there isn’t a literal big red button, they will need the military to authorise the launch of anything like that and their support for him is rapidly waning as they are getting humiliated in Ukraine. Secondly Putin has been trying to market this a special military operation to liberate Ukraine from Nazis. That’s a pretty hard sell if you nuke one of the places you’re supposed to be liberating and will probably cross a line with the likes of China.

The way things seem to be going at the moment, I’d drive the Russians out of every inch of Ukrainian soil, Crimea and all. If they go back to post-2014, Russia hasn’t really lost. If they crush Russia it will dissuade them from ever attempting this again and hopefully spell the end of Putin. Personally, I’d find a square metre of worthless, remote swampland somewhere on the Russia border, pile it with cow manure and give it to Russia as a gift/reward for their ‘special military operation’.

Still, that's a lot of terrible accidents to try and organise. It's all going to end up like Blackadder, "the acting returning officer very sadly, accidentally cut off his head whilst combing his hair."

We should get NATO and the EU to offer Belarus membership, if they depose Lukashenko. It'd be some of the best political sh*t-housing I've ever seen.

I could sure go a Belarusian revolution right about now.

They don’t need to control the city itself, just the roads in and out. If they do that then ALL Russia supplies west of Mariupol would have to route through Kerch, and they’re already desperately stretched. If they can do this, through what is mainly just farmland and rural villages, it makes their job in the south that much easier. It also gives them a chance to surround the Zaporizhzhya NPP and hope for a surrender without the need for a firefight.

They’ll all flee to Russia. A bunch of power grabbing opportunists, no way they’re going to stand and face justice on any sense of principle. The so-called leader of the so-called DPR has already been videoed heading somewhere in a Jeep whilst telling his soldiers to stand and fight.

I wonder where the best tactical place to advance next could be. A punch down towards Mariupol, from west of Donetsk could cut off the link between South and East. Perhaps they’ll just look to consolidate with modest gains in the NE and around Kherson and try to freeze the Russians out in a couple of months.
  15. I don’t agree with everything Peterson says but he seems to be hated by many for bursting their fantasies of how the world should be by explaining how people and societies actually interact. I’ve seen a few interviews when he’s discussed why we will never have equal numbers of women in STEM jobs, which some seem to interpret as being why women should be stopped from taking these jobs.
  16. I have no real interest in the royals and would happily have spent yesterday at a Saints game but to say there is, "no point," in them is clearly nonsense. This is front page news around the globe, the British royal family is one of the most internationally recognised institutions in history. They have the level of international standing that many countries will spend billions trying to replicate by hosting an Olympic Games or World Cup for three weeks.
  17. Stacy Soloman doesn’t see the point in the Royal family. That’s Stacy Solomon who became famous by finishing about 6th on a TV karaoke show 13 years ago.

The next few days could be interesting. It’s probably wishful thinking to hope for a full scale collapse but Russia could lose territory they’ve held since 2014. Taking Donetsk would be a hell of a coup for the UA but they probably need to regroup first.

They’ll be in Vladivostok by Christmas.
  21. You think it’s acceptable to have non-interracial lesbian bears in 2022?! Disgusting racism.
  22. No, because nobody is being forced into attending any sporting events. If you feel this is inappropriate, you’re well within your rights to sit at home and mourn as you see fit. I suspect however that the majority wouldn’t not have done this. I believe the majority of football matches would have been very well attended and relatively few people would have stayed away due to their own grief and sense of respect.
  23. Wasn’t really supposed to be a joke. If you’re going to cancel random stuff not connected to the royal family and say it’s a mark of respect just because we said so, then at least cancel something that everyone would appreciate, not something everyone enjoys.
  24. If we’re doing non-sequiturs, how about we forfeit everybody’s gas bill for September as a mark of respect?
  25. It’s pure narcissism, just like with the Ukrainian refugees. Some people just need BAME to be the victims in absolutely any given scenario and will always try to twist the conversation in that direction. Having said that, they’re not alone. One of Jedward popped up on my Twitter claiming what he was saying was okay because he’s Irish and that people needed to educate themselves on history. I was surprised the cretin can even spell history.
