Would probably be a bit more credible without the DPR flag flying in the background.

For Man United he was consistently a very good player, a solid 15-20 goal a season player, without ever really looking like THE guy. Across his domestic career he just never quite looked as good as Henry, Suarez, Torres, Ronaldo, Aguero, Bale, Drogba, Kane and a few others, on their day. For England he burst onto the scene with two braces against Switzerland and Croatia at Euro 2004 but then what? Lineker, Shearer and Kane all have golden boots from major tournaments, Hurst has a hat trick in a WC final, Owen and Beckham have big goals in crucial games. Rooney just has a consistent stream of goals in qualifiers against Moldova, Estonia and Kazakhstan. He has one goal at a WC in his whole career, a tap in in a defeat to Uruguay in 2014. His career just doesn't scream absolute greatness.

I knew Neil had been arrested for it, I didn’t realise the other two were involved.
-
I think both could be loaned out if nothing else. Some mug will probably take a punt on Theo like we did, except without all that faux nostalgia about coming home. Djenepo will probably end up abroad somewhere, albeit with us paying a slice of his wages. He may have been in the right place for a handful of tidy finishes but aside from that I just don’t think it’s true. Too many games just pass him by.
-
Depends what your criteria are I suppose. Bale is certainly up there. Aside from those already mentioned; Keegan had two Ballon D’Ors Shearer and Lineker were consistently prolific for club and country. Ashley Cole. Probably sounds silly but has there been a fullback in English football who’s come close to his achievements. Shilton. Englands most capped played. Owen and Gazza would certainly have been in the discussion, if they’d stayed fit.

I'm going to be unpopular and say I still don't rate him and I'd look to sell in summer. He's had a period of looking better, much like Vest last year, but in the last few games I'd say he has dropped back again. Overall, I just don't think he's that good and I'd rather lose him, Walcott and Djenepo and use the wages on two better players.

Don’t be silly, that’s a Ukrainian sunflower. Spring must have arrived.
-
It would be good, longer term, if we can provide the Ukrainian AF with some reasonable NATO aircraft. It’ll take years to equip, train and bring their pilots up to speed with the operation and logistics, so not much use for this conflict but some second hand F16s or F/A18s would probably be handy.

Donbas maybe, but I think Crimea may be a bit of a stretch. It’ll be interesting to see how much attitudes have changed in these areas since the invasion.

So it is working. So he’s not going to get rid of it. So we can’t get rid of ours. Pretty much end of discussion.
-
As long as we don’t get anything like that dreadful Man City third shirt from the cup game. Looks like the kind of thing you’d buy for 100 lira at a market stall in Bodrum.
-
I wouldn’t want it to happen, personally. He’ll be 33, is barely fit and will want enormous wages.
-
In other words Russia would, "dispute the legal basis," but I don’t think that’d make much real world difference, if it was agreed upon by Ukraine and nato.
-
The only worry with that is that from a distance, it just blurs into pink.
-
If the government on said country asks us to implement a NFZ then we have every right to do so. We’d have far more right to be there than Russia.
-
So it’s all a non starter then. Putin’s conventional forces are quite clearly substandard on the world stage, his nuclear deterrent is his last real betting chip at the big table. He’s never going to be persuaded to give it up, so neither can we.
-
Wanting to live in a world without nukes is idealistic and implausible. Wanting to live in a world where Putin has nuclear weapons and we don’t is insanity.
-
That’s not an answer, you’ve just repeated a baseless assertion. I’ll ask again; I’m Russia and I’ve just invaded Ukraine. You’re nato and you don’t have nukes. What is your response?
-
How do you know all of that, what are you comparing it to? You may have missed it before but what's your answer to this question?
-
It was two years ago this very month that I was thinking, "guess this shuts up all those anti-vaxxers once and for all." How wrong was I.

Perhaps a brief role-play will illustrate the issue. I’m Russia and I’ve just invaded Ukraine. You’re NATO and none of your members have nukes. What do you do?
