Anyone starting to look nervously at the table?
Lighthouse replied to washsaint's topic in The Saints
Standard manager speak for not getting complacent. He will continue saying that until it is mathematically certain, as will every manager in the bottom half. -
Or they could have beaten us by 5, like Burnley and West Brom. Instead they only beat us by 3, like they did against Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs, Olympiakos, Marseille (twice), Burnley (again) and Wolves. Still, it was their reserve side, having to rely on sh*t like Foden, De Bruyne, Silva and Gundogan.

Genuine young talent isn’t going to sit and watch KWP from our bench. Our options are substandard young talent, like Valery, or a mediocre journeyman like Martina or Pied.
-
Meh. Standard. Oh well...
-
Pompey to win a trophy and give it back a day later? 😂
-
Well, we’re not getting anything from this, might as well have one of our best players 20 minutes less tired for Brighton (and not injured, in the game at least).
-
This lot with Haaland....
-
It’s not really the right game to judge him on, not that I ever thought it was a good idea in the first place.
-
Sloppy there from Sally.
-
That should really be another pen. For us too. I guess that evens out.
-
Just tuned in to see that from McC...

My favourite Simpsons episode is just starting on Channel 4, might miss the first 25 minutes of this.
-
Haha, so basically every defender we’ve got and hope for the best. 🤣
-
Don’t forget the construction worker and the biker dude, they were there too.

That’s not a bare minimum. The bare minimum would have been not loaning Walcott and Minamino, with maybe a couple of loans to replace Hojbjerg and Cédric instead. If five players is a bare minimum, what would be an average/healthy number of signings? Eight? Ten? Dream on.
-
Bare minimum? We've signed 5 players since the end of last summer, how many did you want us to splash out on, at a time of financial strain?
-
We bought him because we wanted a striker to play for us, nothing more. We didn’t ‘save his career’.
-
Probably because nobody actually gave a sh*t about Hoedt and Carrillo to ask in the first place.
-
I reckon Beatrice was on the jäger and got a bit lairy one night.
-
No, I’m just kidding. I’m pretty sure he is Charlie’s.
-
Because of the enormous amount of press and public scrutiny into her affairs?
-
I would. The problem is knowing to what extent a person is genuine when they SAY they feel suicidal. It can’t just be a default, ‘get out of jail free’ card.
-
Meg’s apparent suicidal thoughts opens up and entirely different can of worms on the matter. For example if Andrew had said he felt suicidal over the press coverage of his relationship with Epstein, would we all have to back off and feel sorry for him? I think most people are just taking whichever side of it suits their agenda, which is what usually happens anyway.
