It might just be me but I've really got no interest in that, just because we happen to be situated on the same orientation of coastline. It would be like an East Cost 'derby' between Hartlepool and Southend.

I’m just glad Liverpool can’t make 100 points, be the ‘best team in PL history’ etc. 3 defeats now, lost their 100% home record last week, no European double... its gradually getting less special.

😆 we ain’t catching Arsenal, dream on.

You hate to see something so unfortunate happen to Virgil, you really do.

I’m pretty sure a small number of people were saying the same about Carrillo before we signed him. If MO was indeed capable of that, we’d be playing him every game and Long and Adams wouldn’t get a sniff. You can’t extrapolate such a small sample.

Austin makes Akinfenwe look like Road Runner. It’d be awesome if Brentford can overhaul the Baggies for second.

It’s not impossible for us to beat Puel’s points total and finish 14th. It would require Palace to win 2 out of 3 pretty tough fixtures but it is at least plausible. Puts the whole ‘they sacked him because 8th wasn’t good enough’ argument into a bit more perspective.

3 to 1 is hardly night and day as a scoring comparison. I think Adams plays with more intelligence, works hard and unlike Long works smart. He links up well with Ings and has a decent touch. Both will get chances but I’d be starting with Adams.
-
Adams for me, I just think he’s better and with a bit of luck would have half a dozen goals.

F**k off Nev. You weren’t so certain that Fernandes should have been sent off against Villa. What a pointless booking that is from Prowsey.

Grief, where was Bertrand there?!

What a mess.

KWP needed to be picking that up.

Personally I find it astonishing that someone can be considered a race based on the vehicle they happen to live in. Anyway, I live to become enlightened and as you say I don’t make the law, so on the basis of that I will retract my earlier racist statement and apologise. I hold nothing against the race of gypsy people. I do however hold the utmost disdain for people of any race who used to break into my grandfathers business in the 90s, the industrial site my dad used to work on and who regularly break into public areas, cause damage, leave large amounts waste (some of it highly insanitary), steal people’s beloved pets to use as bait in fights, copper wiring, lead roofing and other materials... all at the expense of the taxpayer.
-
I fail to see any criteria by which travelers count as a race; they're just people who live in caravans. As far as I'm concerned, they're white British people, who's ancestors just happen to come from the other side of the Irish Sea.

Players you would sign from relegated teams....
Lighthouse replied to Yorkshire Saint's topic in The Saints
Since he left we've consistently had two better CBs than he is, right up until January 2017 when Fonte left. He wouldn't have had a chance to play regularly here until he was 24. -
Can’t see much changing in the remaining games but I’d love Brentford to pip WBA to second place.
-
I don’t think it will have made any difference. United are going balls out until the end of the season and confidence will be sky high.

So he could sit on the bench, watch Fonte, Hooiveld and Lovren and never develop as a player? He needed to leave and play at his own level for a while. -
Just flicked through Sky 1 and saw the BOULEI game and the picture quality is way worse than even SD. It’s like watching a video of an old 70s match being replayed. I don’t know, it seems like plain bitterness. They’re putting it on free to people without the sports package (which I do have BTW) so ‘f**k you, were going to ruin it you.’

So we’re basically an interlude in three successive 5-0 wins for City (I’m counting Mahrez’ goal).

In what way is it a problem? Rich people having fun in no way negatively effects the lives of the poor, however it may seem. It’s like the kid of some Russian oligarch having a yacht and Ferrari. Sure, it isn’t fair but if you take those things away from him it in no way makes my life any better, so what is there to complain about? To complain is plain and simple envy. Racing at that level is basically just wealthy relatives an state sponsors being willing to chuck millions into a black hole, so some kid can go racing for fun. it isn’t a job.

I don’t think it’s anything to do with colour, it’s just that different sports and industries attract different people. It’s no different to the white, upper middle class people of Surrey being grossly underrepresented in sports like boxing, greyhound racing or darts. Why do you never see a black jockey, how come they’re all Irish? Why are there no women F1 drivers. I’ve been an F1 fan since the days Damon Hill was winning and I’ve been going to races semi-regularly for about 10 years. I would say the average punter sat in the crowd is a white male but I’ve yet to see any bouncers on the gates stopping women and blacks from getting in. It stands to reason the people pursuing a career in that sport would roughly reflect the audience.

The last few hundred years aren't relevant to getting a job today. That's like saying if you think the French navy aren't a threat and that women are allowed to vote, the last few hundred years have passed you by. I really can't imagine a black engineer not being given a job at an international F1 team because of his skin colour. A builder's merchant in Bradford, maybe but not an F1 team.
