We had some bloke called Hooiveldog who was banging them in a few seasons ago. Wonder if he's still available.
-
From what I've seen and heard in the media, I'd say he came back from the Euros expecting a juicy new contract and was told due to his age and his already generous deal, he wouldn't be getting one. Now he has realised he isn't in fact bigger than Saints as no top clubs have come in for him. As such he is probably leaving out of spite and embarrassment, having burnt a lot of bridges.

Last I heard Van Gobbel was on the run from Dutch police. No idea how that panned out.
-
Loyalty suggests he could have taken a better offer elsewhere but chose not to. That isn't the case. He hasn't been loyal, he's just been here ages. A bit like Lundekvam really.
-
I find this astonishing.
-
Not quite cornered the market though, has he.
-
Just go back to playing Sandstorm before games please.

I don't have a problem with us selling any of the players who've left. Berahino and Fonte have shown the credibility of keeping a player who doesn't want to be here. If we're getting North of £30m for players, that's fine by me. What annoys me is the substandard replacements we've brought in. Clasie, Martina, Long, Redmond, Juanmi, Cedric, Bertrand, Gardos and Romeu are the the kind of bargain bin players Lowe would have gone for. Whilst Bertrand has turned out good and Romeu is much improved, the rest just seem like cheap options to me. Then there's the enigma of JWP, in his 5th season of distinctly forgettable performances and still getting in the team.

There's a difference between complacency and knowing we are nowhere near as dreadful as the 4 teams at the bottom. 13th is indicative of home good we are thisnseason, not the last 4 results taken in isolation.

Loyalty implies rejecting better offers, of which Jose has had none. Until now, when he promptly throws his toys out the pram, same as anyone else and demands a transfer.

'A good lad in the dressing room' 'A good option to have on the bench' 'Always gives his best' Apparently...

Sh*te, dull football but we aren't in a relegation fight. It's not as if we went up there, got battered and were never in the game. In fact only the Spurs and Chelsea games have really been like that. It's all well and good blaming the clubs transfer policy but we do have attacking players. I would expect poor form from Redmond, Long, J Rod, Tadic OR Boufal but not all of them at the same time, for the whole season.

Jay is, was and will be again if he can get a decent run in the side. Long apparently "isn't that kind of player" so not scoring from open play all season isn't cause for concern.
-
We aren't going down, there is some utter garbage in this league. 35 points will probably be enough for safety, so basically 3 wins and 3 draws. It'll be a dull mid table affair but we aren't going down. Same as 4 wins and clean sheets in a row won't bring us Champions League football.

Actually no, he was just feeding the trolls exactly what they crave; attention. Can't see how anyone would find him amusing, he's just childish and really, really tedious.

My favourite was after we spanked Arsenal (I forget which time) there was some Gooner being interviewed on that fans TV show they do. Kept going on about 'Jurgen Klaaaaaap' in a thick Bristolian accent.

Not often I agree with Turks but I think that muppet with the red and white face paints and the hat may have pushed me over the edge. Of all the role models to aspire to, that manky tramp, Westwood. That and some gimp from Winchester rubbing my nose in it when we lost 6-1 against Liverpool last year. Probably never been within 50 miles of Anfield but apparently, "we kicked your arse".
-
I like how they boo Patrice Evra for having the nerve to get racially abused by one on their players.
-
Count yourself lucky. For the West Brom game I was sat in block 43 in front of some chap who's favourite phrase was, "you f**king sh*t c*nt!!" Which he enjoyed screaming about every minute.
-
Should have brought Stephens on in injury time to absolutely wallop him. Worth hanging on with 10 men for the last 30 seconds to put him out of the second leg. I've never been a betting man but 'Liverpool to win by 2 goals' seems like a license to print money right now.

Maybe Hoj for Clasie, who seems to struggle for fitness. Other than that, same side please. Also, don't let Tadic take any pens.

How Many Semi Finals Have You Been To With Saints
Lighthouse replied to Gemmel's topic in The Saints
I actually thought 3-0 up at half time was a fairly safe bet. -
Lets get at them right from the off. Show the lads this before the game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wUFbLdpgiME

Don't see the problem personally, Barry was a very good player in his day. You talk as if we're comparing Makelele to Jermaine Wright.

Performing well at a mid table club, then making a big money move to one of the Manchester clubs, before falling out of favour and ending up at Everton. Sounds nothing like Morgan.
