  1. I think it was more in retaliation for the West Ham fans who ran on the pitch when they equalised.
  2. I'd got with Gabbi and Boufal up front and Tadic in behind if we were to play that formation.
  3. I like the use of the word 'drop' as if it's that simple. From where exactly, because a formation of B52s flying over NK is pretty much going to start a war regardless of what they're dropping. I think we should just play Genesis Greatest Hits across the border from the South until they either commit suicide or just die of boredom.
  4. There isn't a creative player in that team at all. It's 5 defenders, 3 hard working midfielders and 2 rather bored strikers getting no kind of service. I know Tadic, Redmond and Boufal have been pretty abysmal thus far but one of them needs to play.
  5. Probably didn't mean to be on the pitch, he was just a long way out of position.
  6. As do the exhausted ball boys.
  7. Double penetration
  8. I didn't think playing our best player counted as desperation.
  9. You have an odd outlook on the situation.
  10. Austin showed at QPR he is capable of 10-15 goals a season. Gabbi showed what he is capable of in the cup final. Tadic showed what he is capable of under Koeman Hojbjerg, JWP, Redmond and Boufal all have talent in varying amounts but are yet to produce results. We can't keep going on about losing Mané and Pelle. Yes they are a big loss but 18 other teams in this division manage to score without them.
  11. Early kick off for this one, 1230 on Sky Sports. Palace are still without a point and have a trip to Burnley tomorrow which isn't exactly a fun place when you're low on confidence. Having said that, what do teams normally do when they're bottom of the league and have just lost 4 in a row? That's right, go and spank Saints 3-0. My Dad used to tell me, 'if it ain't broke don't fix it'. So with that in mind, I'd personally change as much as possible and play something like this. McC Cedric - Yoshi - Hoot - Bertrand Hojbjerg - Romeu - Lemon Gabbi - Austin - Tadic Try and boss the centre of midfield, get a couple of players close to the main striker and allow the fullbacks to overlap.
  12. Wow, has it really taken just 5 games for people to start looking back on Puel with rose tinted glasses? This squad is far more capable than what either manager has achieved so far. We should have bought another attacking player, moved a couple more on and given MP time to work with it. If you are genuinely looking back with fondness at a man who failed to organise a goal in his final 6 home games, not to mention playing for a 0-0 at home to Be'er Sheva, then you may be going senile.
  13. I'd agree with this. I don't want to sound insensitive, especially as this poor lad's friends and family may well read the message board, but I've never actually met or even heard of him. Doing the whole minutes applause thing is 99% people just going along with it because they've been told to. If people actually, genuinely care then do what normal people do and leave some flowers at his graveside.
  14. I ended up going to the Wolves game at the last minute and as such had to buy on the day. Ended up missing kick off as I was queuing for just over 40 minutes. Hardly surprising really as there were only 6 windows open. Is this just because it was a cup game with a large walk up or is this a frequent problem the club needs to address? I would suggest a small portacabin opposite the ticket office which is only open for 1 hour before kick off. 4 windows (one for each stand), no concessions, no choosing which seat, no faffing. Just 4 stacks of pre-printed tickets, walk up and stick your card in the reader, done.
  15. Expecting us to score three goals at home to anyone is a bit of a stretch, we never looked like scoring even one against Wolves reserves. I'm going to take a guess at a frustrating 1-1. Lots of missed chances and our goal comes from a set piece or defensive/goalie howler.
  16. Obvious, balls out and slapping them in your face troll is... apparently not obvious enough.
  17. Why is the drink driving limit 35mg? So a man with 35 in his blood is perfectly safe whereas a man with 36 is an intoxicated danger to the public. What about people doing 71 on the motorways? Are they reckless drivers? Basically it's an arbitrary line in the sand we have drawn across the development of a foetus. A balance between allowing the parent enough time do decide whether the baby is healthy, whether or not it is ethical to keep it and the point where a foetus becomes a human. It is a human, capable of conscious thought, emotion, interaction with its surroundings and attachment to other humans. A foetus isn't. That's my criteria. It's not 'right' just my view on the matter.
  18. It's not a child, it's an embryo/foetus. It has the potential to become a child, as did the teenagers sperm spread across a copy of sports illustrated. As it is incapable of conscious though and therefore unaware of its surroundings, to me it is no less humane than squashing a mosquito. What you're arguing is that something with the potential to become life has the right to life, which I personally disagree with. Mogg is out of touch, even for a Tory, and if he became leader it would be a farce on par with Boris or Trump. I don't want to have to chose between a Labour leader from the 1960s and a Tory leader from the 1860s at the next election.
  19. In a way I kind of respect the hardcore religious types more than the moderates. If you genuinely believe that God thinks homosexuals will burn in hell etc. then at least stick to your story. I don't really get the "I'm a Christian/Muslim but I don't oppose gay marriage, abortions, divorce etc." View point. If you're just going to pick and chose certain bits which suit you, there's not really any point at all. To me it's like saying, "I'm a Saints fan but I'm going to go and support Pompey next week because they're at home and and I can't really afford to travel all the way up to Burnley." Probably because it just forces people to admit the flaws in their religious beliefs and makes them think too much.
  20. Three of the same type of player, we need Davis or JWP in there for balance and to provide a link in our forward play.
  21. A man goes to a doctor and says, "I've got a bit of an embarrassing problem, you see my penis has turned bright orange." "That is unusual," says the doctor, "you don't by chance work in a tanning salon?" "No," replies the man "Do you work with any hazardous chemicals, biohazard, radioactive material..." The man replies, "no," to all of these. Struggling for an explanation the doctor asks, "so what do you do for a living?" "Nothing," says the man, "I just sit at home watching porn and eating Wotsits."
  22. No, he took Boro to a UEFA Cup final, whereas Southgate got them relegated. Southgate is a hairier version of Steve Kean.
  23. I'd have expected a lot more from a manager of Southgate's calibre.
  24. In all seriousness though, even Hitler did do great things for Germany which made him immensely popular. He took over a bankrupt country, being crippled and humiliated by French and British sanctions, wiped out unemployment and built some of the greatest architecture and technology in the world. Even in Saddam's Iraq the standard of living was relatively high, with education and healthcare and widespread development in infrastructure. North Korea has none of that. I'd wager 99% of people hate living there.
  25. North Korea is just one bloke and a sh*t load of mirrors. Should make a military campaign fairly easy TBH.
