  1. Zlatan vs. Stephens should be a good one. Basically I'm just going to drink 'til I don't care about the result beforehand.
  2. We have never been in a relegation battle. Having a poor run of 6 games and being "only" 8 points above the drop zone isn't being in a fight. We're now in 11th, 10 points clear of safety. The idea that Hull and Palace are going to overhaul that kind of gap in 3 months is laughable.
  3. I think CR will be able to rally Leicester just enough to put some decent results together and stay up. They've got enough about them I reckon. Bompey will probably score enough goals to beat a few teams who struggle to score but will run it close IMO. If it was a starlight shootout with everyone on equal points, maybe but they've got a 6 point head start on their competitors. Sunderland, Hull and one more team from Swansea downwards in the table. Honestly can't decide who, I thought the Swans were nailed on a month ago, now they look the most likely to get out of it.
  4. I'm going to be unpopular and say Leeds. I know the older fans who remember Revie's "dirty Leeds" team won't agree but I think it would be good to see them up again. They've got Monk and Beattie in charge and I'd like to see them have a decent swing at the top level. Plus it really annoys Man Utd when they beat them.
  5. The problem with basing things on 6 games is that they're based on 6 games. We have never at any point this season looked bad enough to go down. Bottom half, probably but you've really got to be something else to go down. Just look at our defence when we ctually did get relegated. To a man they were dreadful, we'd have stayed up if any of them were as good as Yoshida.
  6. A white wine spritzer too many for Charlie this evening.
  7. Sunderland are absolute dogsh*t.
  8. Boufal, easily. Tadic is left side or nothing IMO.
  9. Just knew there would be 2 late goals FFS
  10. No point being Long on when our midfield keep knocking it to square leg.
  11. Gabbi on the banner?
  12. Forster Cedric - Yoshi - Virgil - Berty Romeu - Hojbjerg Redmond - Boufal - Tadic Gabbi Says something really when our strongest 4 attackers have about 6 goals between them.
  13. That's a ridiculous statement. I honestly think Puel got a raw deal this season, even if some of his tactics have been questionable. Koeman had Wanyama, Fonte, Mané, Toby, Pelle, Clyne and Morgan during his time here. Now we've got Stephens in our starting XI, a player who couldn't get near the match day squad last season. When we had Fonte, Virgil and Austin all fit, we were actually half decent. Our supposed next big talent has spent most of the season in the treatment room and scored 1 league goal, whilst Redmond and Hojbjerg have looked like bang average, bottom half players. Add to that Tadic and Long have completely gone missing, through no fault of Puel's IMO. What you think Kelvin would do with this bunch of players I don't know.
  14. I'd sell Reed personally. He's 22 and doesn't look like becoming a Premier League player any time soon. I wouldn't lose any sleep if we said goodbye to Martina, Long, Clasie, JWP, Reed, Gardos, Isgrove or Targett. They would all need replacing, except Targett, Isgrove and Long, plus a long term solution to Fonte.
  15. Should offer him a deal; £50kpw or 60 if he gets rid of top knot.
  16. Bit harsh to wedgie someone on their first day.
  17. Cool, fine but whatever happened Fonte staying would have been better than having nobody.
  18. I went to the Ricoh in our promotion season when they were hopeless. We won 4-2 and the ground couldn't have been more than 1/3 full (including a decent Saints turnout). When De Ridder scored the 4th the home end pretty much emptied.
  19. It's like saying 'not wearing a seatbelt is only stupid if you have an accident'. If one player getting injured makes it stupid, then it's already stupid. Gardos (right now) and Stephens are not first team players. Having 2 capable centre halves and going 'oh bugger' when one of them gets injured just stinks of poor planning.
  20. How could he have 'thought' Fonte would stay? It was his decision, Fonte had no say in the matter, short of actually refusing to play for the rest of the season. He shouldn't have sold Fonte until after we had actually bought someone in; signed on the dotted line. That's the irrefutable act of stupidity he committed on January, when finding the right players is notoriously difficult.
  21. To answer the thread title - Tadic However, the entire OP just seems to be another of Charlie's moans about how the club is being run and nothing to do with favourite players.
  22. Especially as one of the party involved does nothing other than b*tch at other posters. I wont SAYWHOIT_IS but you can probably figure it out.
  23. Cake Ears?
  24. I'm going with mar-teen Car-se-rez, until I here differently from the horses mouth.
  25. Romeu, Hojbjerg and Bertrand have won it but I don't know if they qualified for medals. Utd have Rooney, Schweinsteiger and Mata. Off the top of me 'ead.
