I'd totally pay £65m for that

    Great header!
  3. We haven't just signed FF from Fleetwood for £1m. He is comfortably worth £20m, so to give him a £20m release clause would be madness. If he has one, it will be for a pretty hefty price.

Russians and Ukrainians fighting together.... Can't see that.
  5. Why would we give him that?
  6. No. We don't need to sell.

Indeed a monumental plank. I'm now supporting the Croats, in the hope they have a great tournament without him.
  8. I'd have said Austin was his replacement, sort of. Don't think there's room in our squad for another attacker unless another one leaves.
  9. I would like this, mainly because he was my favourite player on FIFA c.2001. Did a decent job at Fiorentina though.
  10. Was always worth a punt I guess; win some, lose some. Good luck to him.
  11. I wouldn't call a player who nutmegged Jaap Stam at Old Trafford a 'flat track bully'.
  12. So your only reason for renewing was to watch Koeman being the manager? Might it involve Kirk from Corry?
  13. For me he ranks below Le Tiss, Pahars and Beattie, although all are obviously very good players. He's probably on par with Lallana and Tadic for me in terms of overall contribution. Unplayable on his day but he went through a 6 month period this season where he only scored against Liverpool, albeit 4 decent goals.
  14. Can't be any worse than the kit we had under Poortaloo and Wotte. Looked like the logo was stuck on with pritt-stick by primary school kids. They have the internet in Pompey?
  15. It's 1,110 Fullers and just 1 Chaplow. We only need 1.
  16. There's £40k change from that, by my maths.
  17. £100m would buy 1,110 Ricardo Fullers and Richard Chaplow. Should chip in with a few goals between them.
  18. It's exponential though. Pelle cost £8m, a striker twice as good wouldn't cost £16m, he would cost £40m. The problem Everton have now is that they've made a statement. Everyone knows they've got cash to spend and will want the lions share when Everton come knocking. I will refer back to my Damien Duff example. A good £10m player back in 2003 but when Abramovic came sniffing, that'll be £18m please. Everton are now in the same boat.
  19. Since we've been back in the Prem, players and managers have only ever left for obscene money, Champions League football or a combination thereof. When our best players start leaving for Stoke and Watford, then I'll start worrying about a lack of ambition.
  20. Not underestimating. They WERE all excellent players but three of them are in their mid 30s now. Mirallas on his day is excellent, no doubt. Those days are far too spread out though, reminds me of Puncheon or Bolasie at Palace. I think he will do alright, the problem is £100m was a lot of money when Abramovic took over Chelsea. Now though, it wouldn't get you Stirling, Mangala and Lovren. You will be up there with us, Leicester, Liverpool and West Ham, fighting over 6th and 7th in all likelyhood, whilst a revived Chelsea and Utd battle it out with City, Arsenal and Spurs for the title.
  21. Lukaku and Barkley I'll give you but I honestly wouldn't take Stones over VVD. I'd swap him for Fonte but only because Fonte is aging. How can a squad which finished 5 places below ours be "undoubtedly better"? Robles - Sh*te Baines - Aging Hibbert - Ancient Jagielka - Aging Kone - Aging Mirallas - Wildly inconsistent Cleverly - Average personified Barry - Ancient Rom and Barkley would be in our team. Stones and McCarthy there or there abouts. Deulofeu and Besic would be decent additions to our squad. They're the only 6 I'd take in a squad of 25.
  22. Lost a Grandma to this, so it get's my vote.
  23. I wouldn't worry about ALWAYS, the Saints fans on here hate him too. In fact he does nothing but slag off other posters.
  24. Perhaps we do. "We" being the club and not necessarily the general public.
  25. Actually he made 4 league apps under Poch and 9 in Koeman's first season. More to the point we've got Clasie and Romeu and before that Cork and Morgan. Most of Reed's first team appearances came in the half season after Cork left, when Morgan was the only other option next to Wanyama. Just seen the highly original, 'suburb in Portsmouth' joke. The supreme irony being that Everton is one of the few clubs in the Premier League which genuinely is just a suburb of it's biggest rival. They are infact the FC Cosham of Liverpool.
