  1. Looks a bit RVP, could be a decent omen.
  2. There's a big difference between telling the truth and doing what's best for the club. If Les just told the media we're planning to sell in a couple of years and we are weaker than last season, he would struggle to attract promising youngsters from one of the world's top three clubs. He's straining credibility claiming we've got the best midfielders in the League but I'd rather our public statements were optimistic and talking up our players.
  3. Paul Merson is gong to have fun with that one. Looks an exciting prospect. Velkomst, my bacon eating, Lego loving friend. Let's take him out on the town for a night of good old fashioned rape and pillage.
  4. For that kind of money I'd hope he buys us Saints fans a small parting gift. By which I mean Fratton Park, then flatten the whole ground and build build a 100ft statue of himself mooning at the whole city.
  5. Remember in 2005 when everyone said that about Pahars. Them were the days.
  6. Nothing wrong with any of that. As with Lambert, it's pretty good that we've managed to buy a player in his 20s and sell him in his 30s for a profit (Assuming these Twitter reports are true).
  7. Thought I had an absolute cracker - Lucien Mettomo in the 2008 ACON (Cameroon were runners up) turns out he didn't even make the squad. No luck with Viafara or Delgado either.
  8. Because Martina and Yoshi look better defensively at the moment.
  9. Watch the onboard from Rosbergs's car. He made no attempt to turn into the corner at all, just carried on going in a straight line. Even if he was having brake issues (and that sounds like a massive Mercedes cop out to me) he would try and turn in. Would he have taken that line had Hamilton not been there? Just driven straight on and parked in the gravel trap? No, of course not. I'm not a Hamilton fan, I think he's a complete arse hat, but this incident was 100% Nico. I think he spent a year too long being Schumcher's teammate.

    Belting cross from Cédric there.
  11. Hundreds could but we've only got space in the squad for one (unless someone else leaves) and I'd rather it wasn't Allen.
  12. Having only seen him in the Euros, I'd be inclined to agree. Assuming the scouts know a lot more about him than I do, I'd be much more excited to see the club taking a punt on players like this than safe but uninspiring players like Allen.
  13. Suit yourself, I'd rather have the new away kit.
  14. Why would anyone pay £50 for Stones?! Better players are available on the continent for half that.
  15. Think we're pretty well sorted for now, we've still yet to see the best of Gardos and Yoshi is more than capable as back up. Most of his dodgy moments came filling in at RB, at CB he is pretty decent.
  16. So you're saying Davis is the Northern Irish, Welsh Pirlo?
  17. At least there aren't any stupid buttoned collars on it.
  18. There are plenty of other sh*t holes in the UK, granted. I'd just prefer not to be in one of them. I'd rather Moresby Tower was half the height it it personally and have some more flats elsewhere, although I'd agree it'd be nice to see something different to the generic, flat pack IKEA style apartments which seem to pop up everywhere. Other the other hand we could really do with some more half decent housing with prices the way they are. I'm not saying the cement works shoul be gotten rid of, it would just seem more practical to have them somewhere out of town a bit. On cheaper land, more accessible to the motorway.
  19. Sponsor looks decent, not a fan of the bra but wouldn't say it looks as bad as some of the drama queens on here are making out. Won't buy the home, might buy the away.
  20. Okay, not literally everyone but it would take a noticeable drop in sales for them to lower prices.
  21. Why on Earth would anyone sell them cheaper, when they could sell thousands for £50 a pop? Capitalism - Clubs will continue to charge that as long as people will pay it. The only way it will change is if everyone boycotts them.
  22. Gordon Bennett, this city needs some investment. Prime waterside land, city centre next to the football stadium and we use it for a friggin' cement factory.
  23. J'habite pres de la gare, avec mon chien.
  24. They will charge it for as long as people continue to pay it. It's the same with tickets, people fuming at the prices whilst willingly handing over £50 to watch a game of football. I might buy the away shirt if it looks decent but I tend to make the home shirts last about 3 or 4 years.
