  1. Wouldn't sell him in January but would take £10m in summer.
  2. I'm completely with you on that, it would be fantastic if everyone stayed to the end, the whole ground sung their hearts out and made more noise than Partizan Belgrade playing Hajduk Split. However, that's just not going to happen. For many people watching Saints isn't a religion, it's just part of their social routine; along with playing squash and taking the kids to the park. You can't be angry at people for that.
  3. Well here to be honest, unless I've misunderstood. Feel free to point out the bit where someone said, "I don't care, atmosphere doesn't matter." Go on, please do.
  4. That's a moving speech but if you love Saints more than your family and prioritise it over your job then you're a bit mental.
  5. The most seats between aisles is I think 27 seats at the widest point. Even assuming you sit right next to the aisle and your entire row leaves early, that's only 13 people leaving past your seat. So what you're saying is you sit next to the aisle and pretty much the entire row leaves before the end. Assuming your row is typical of any other, the stadium is literally empty 5 minutes before full time. Also I don't get why standing up for 15 seconds causes such a loss of vision.
  6. I'll stick to singing along with Peter Andre's greatest hits album thanks.
  7. You mean when they walk in front of you to get to the aisle? Really Tim, that's like half a second of impeded viewing?! I've missed more of the game sneezing.
  8. Only if you happen to be sharing a ride with someone else. For your last question, lots of things to many people. Not everyone regards football as a religion, some people have long drives, families waiting to have dinner, work to do and various other commitments more important than the last 10 minutes of a football match.
  9. Don't have a problem with people wanting to leave early, especially if you're sat in the higher reaches of the stadium. I'm normally 4 or 5 rows from the back in the Northam and I tend to find myself sat in my seat until 10 minutes after f/t waiting just to be able to get to an aisle. Then when I get out it's a similar wait at that sodding railway bridge just to get onto the main road to the station. I reckon if you leave on 85 minutes, you'd get to the station half an hour earlier than if you waited till the end in one of the higher rows. If you're driving you can probably lose another 20 minutes sat in traffic too. Probably worth it for a lot of people, for the sake of 5 minutes plus injury time.
  10. Depends whether he would rather have self respect or a multi-million pound payoff for 6 months of work.
  11. Got to wonder how long Coutinho will stick around Anfield without Champs League football.
  12. I think you're underestimating Saints a little if you think we will struggle to get even a point. Arsenal haven't won here in their last 4 attempts. Spurs are definitely a bogey side but records are there to be broken. They lost every game here right up until our relegation. I'll take a punt at: Stoke - Win Man City - Loss Villa - Win Palace - Draw Spurs - Win Arsenal Draw
  13. Really don't see why we can't get a draw at least against either of those teams at St Mary's. Arsenal especially are inconsistent, beating Bayern one week, then getting spanked in the reverse fixture. I'm not saying we're as good as Bayern but Arsenal have been beaten by West Ham, Zagreb, Olympiakos and Chelsea this year. That's 4 pretty average sides. Spurs haven't done anything particularly special other than beating an out of sorts Man City team. They've draw with Stoke, Everton, Leicester and Swansea so hardly ripping the league apart.
  14. 10 points in fixtures we only took 4 from last season (3 of those from SJP). Not counting Watford of course.
  15. Against a long ball team? I suspect Koeman wanted a bit more height in defence, it's not the first time he's done this.
  16. That seemed to be the general consensus. Speaking of England games at St Mary's, Alan Smith is also playing for Notts Co. Salford have just taken the lead.
  17. Remember Martin O'Neil b*tching when we took Stephen O'Halloran on loan and didn't play him. Well he's currently playing for Salford City on BBC2.
  18. Was it really necessary to update the thread title. Who exactly was sat there at work thinking, "A thread about swear words in TMS, I'll be sure to click on that with my boss standing behind me." P.S. Tittysprinkles.
  19. It's Glasgow. You can figure the rest out.
  20. In which case I'd probably drop Davis, put JWP on the right, Mané in the #10 and Tadic wide left. I don't think there's any real creativity in that side, especially if they sit deep and don't allow Mané space to run in to.
  21. If Townsend hasn't been misquoted and that is indeed what he said then he is a plank. QPR and 'Udders were 13th an 18th respectively, plenty of white managers have been sacked for far better results than that. You've got to pick the right fights in life and if Troy starts making a fuss out of this, people will be less inclined to take him seriously when he has a genuine grievance.
  22. In a bizarre move, Russia has now banned 737s from operating in their airspace. http://avherald.com/h?article=48ee3567&opt=0&utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter The fact that Aeroflot uses Airbus aircraft and Ukraine International uses 737s is nothing to do with this I'm sure.
  23. Britain suspends flights to Sharm over security concerns.
  24. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japan_Airlines_Flight_123 A potentially similar incident, if it's not terrorism related.
  25. I'm genuinely not sure if this is a joke.
