There are double standards when it comes to Jewish jokes I feel. Nobody bat's an eyelid when someone makes an 'Americans are stupid/fat' joke or when Americans make an 'English people have dodgy cockney accents and terrible dentistry' joke. I don't see any real difference between than and saying Jews are tight b**tards. There is a danger of 'boy who cried wolf' with this. If people keep becoming offended at relatively trivial issues then they are less likely to be taken seriously in the event of actual prejudice.

It's a bit of a lazy stereotype but is it really that offensive? I guess it's down to specific individuals if they feel offended or not. TV shows like Family Guy show stuff like this all the time. I saw an episode last night when they put a bomb in a Jew's wallet which detonated when he opened it. Two weeks later he was still alive. I don't think there is any malice in stuff like this as it's not really meant to be serious.

Yes it is, it takes one heck of a lot of crap football to finish 17th. It would be like watching Wigley and Redknapp again, except with a win over Man Utd on the last day.
-
Can I just check the rules here. If losing to the team in second means we can't finish top 4, what happens if we lose to the team in 10th? I mean, we can't not finish in the top 20, or do we just get kicked out of the league?

Because they believe he will be a good player in the future. He was probably on the bench as much to make up the numbers as anything today. It's hardly as if he was keeping a better player out of the match day squad.

In South West Ireland He bottled it No need to wine Sorry, I got a Black Friday discount on sh*t puns.

Beaten by a better team in City. Time to take the soiled knickers off and stick them in the wash because the games are coming thick and fast. Wednesday night trip to the M rats. I'd be tempted to start Long instead of Mane. Hopefully Morgan is fit and Cork recovers from his illness.

Targett? That well known holding midfielder.

One defeat and suddenly we're nowhere near a top 4 club? What do you mean top half maybe? No we aren't as good as City and probably not Utd or Arsenal either but who are these 6 other clubs we've suddenly fallen behind.
-
I'm not really convinced by Mane yet. He reminds me of De Ridder a bit

That's the spirit.

Gone for my lucky sh*t already as a matter of necessity. A bad omen do you think?

Most people have been raving about Davis for about 2 years now. He might be underrated in the media but not by those who actually watch him. Getting a Labrador to lick Nutella of your ball sack, now that's underrated.

I think Shane Long has got the 'overpriced and doesn't score very often' position well and truly covered. Apart from 4 goals at the end of last season his career is a barren wasteland of goal scoring.

Di Maria goes off injured

First goal of the 3pm kickoffs goes to Tranmere. Against Pompey

Things I'm hoping for next year Button to keep his drive McLaren to build a competitive car with a decent Honda donkey Caterham and Marussia to find sound financial backing Kobayashi to be on the grid Bottas to win a race Kimi to beat Vettel A decent Red Bull which the two Dans can compete for the Championship with Lewis to win WDC if Jenson is unable to compete for it Lotus to be competitive again and to find enough investment not to need Maldonado after 2015. Sutil, Chilton and Gutierez are nowhere to be seen. Vergne to find a drive. He has basically matched the very talented Ricciardo and Kvyat in his time at STR Toro Rosso to change their livery. It wont happen but the car just looks like a cheap knock-off Red Bull they bought at a Moroccan market stall.

I'm not sure they've got the branding right. 'Black Friday' sounds like something bad the IRA did in the 80s. I think it should be called something like 'Saint Wayne's Day'.

Perez moved ahead of Magnussen into 10th because of double points. That's about it.

Pretty much. The fact that St Marys and most of our away games are roughly around a sell out, plus or minus a few hundred say's they've got it about right. You know you've got the balance right when customers are saying, "these prices are outrageous... here take my money!"

Had a dream last night that he scored a 90th minute equaliser with a free kick at Sheff Utd. Then Lallana and Lambert scored again within the next minute and we won 3-1. This might not come to fruition in real life.

They will charge that (and more) for as long people are willing to pay it.
