His goalscoring record speaks for the fact that he's 30 years old and neve done anything outside of Turkey and Belgium. The fact that he did very little under four different managers, then none of the other PL clubs snapped him up this summer also speaks for itself. Why haven't Leeds, Sunderland or Burnley bought him, he was obviously available and for only £6m?
-
Possibly. It’ll depend on form, allocation, pricing etc. nearer the time. There’re clear a few less desirable Northern trips that might not sell out.

Jesus, give it a rest.

For all the tantrums and the, "no way I’ll be renewing new season!" After every inevitable defeat, the uptake was always likely to be high. Attendances have been trending higher for years and we now seem to sell out almost routinely, even in spite of appalling results in two of our last three seasons. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if Blackburn was the only away league game which didn’t sell out this season.
-
The timing does seem to coincide with the official changeover into next season at the end of June, so I wonder if there’s some contractural clause involved with their new bloke, like we had with the delay in appointing Martin last summer.
-
When have we ever done that? I can only ever remember us getting decent fees, selling our better players to the top sides.
-
Farewell Paul. I guess we’ll always have that rebound off the keeper at Ipswich.

Onuachu specific chat has been moved to his own thread

I remember my first crack pipe.

He’ll probably shake it from side to side a bit, then throw it up into the ceiling fan.

Might as well just book some train tickets to Croydon now before prices go up.

Me neither. I was busy fixing the car da mom reversed into a bollard.

Not paying £60 for a polyester T-shirt which is obsolete in nine months doesn’t make anyone a cheapskate in my book.

That’s a lot of tough away games done by the end of October, so happy with that. Decent, winnable run in too.

Straighten that duvet out, you scruffy b**tard.

I remember my first beer…

Define safe. If we banned everything more dangerous than the Covid vaccine then we’d be without: All road vehicles Dogs Power Tools Gas boilers Sexual intercourse Alcoholic beverages Saunas Pretty much every brand of fast food in the country Petroleum Cigarettes Motorsport Trampolines Bicycles Horses Swimming pools Paracetamol Chickens Holidays As aintforever said and I will verify, when I went for my vaccinations the risks were made clear to me and I was asked to sit in the waiting room for 15 minutes afterwards I case of any adverse side effects. This whole ‘question the narrative’ line is just horse s**t said by absolute muppets, trying to look clever. The truth is they haven’t got the first clue what they’re even questioning. It’s the medical equivalent of some idiot who failed GCSE science going to a Stephen Hawking lecture on quark theory, standing up and saying, "yeah but mate, what if it’s not?!” As if that’s in any way an intelligent viewpoint.

Stayed two years longer than I expected, so fair play. Will probably end up doing a reasonable job for West Ham, Everton or similar.

I think we’ll file Tilak under ‘batting all-rounder’.

TBH, I’d rather get some of the tougher, sh*thouse fixtures out of the way in August and September whilst we’re still sorting out or squad and getting into a rhythm. I’ll happily take a trip to West Brom and Coventry, with Ipswich at home in the middle. Save Swansea at home for the last game of the season when we might need a win for the autos. Statistically, we want the Skates in November, December or January. My pick for dreadful, freezing, wet 1-0 away defeat away to relegation threatened, Northern team in January is Sheff Weds. My pick for bat sh*t mental TV fixture is Preston, 8pm on a Tuesday.

Firstly, condolences on your mother. Obviously I didn’t know her or the specifics of her condition but in the grand scheme of things it doesn’t really prove anything with regards to this argument. My mum had breast cancer around 15 years ago, thanks entirely to surgery, radio and chemo she’s still here enjoying her retirement. It’s just the random cruelty of nature I’m afraid. Doctors have never claimed that chemo is either pleasant or guaranteed to be effective but that doesn’t mean it should be dismissed out of hand. Every case is different but supposing a doctor said you might have three years with chemo or one year without, that’s a personal decision as to whether you value the time or quality of quality of life. There’s no right answer. What is undeniably ludicrous is a 23 year old woman with a highly treatable form of cancer dying without even attempting to fight the disease, because of her mother’s insane conspiracy theories. I’ve no idea why anyone would try to argue she was, “right to question the narrative.” Shemirani’s daughter is dead because of sh*te she reads of Facebook and values above the opinion of trained doctors.

A rather chilling reminder that the nonsense anti vaxers spread for fun and attention isn’t as quirky and harmless as some might think. There are people out there who genuinely believe it. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/crenzwyvpn1o

There is the three BP. As expected we’re going to fall just short of the max on overs played, but still a good team innings. Would be nice if we can push this lead up towards 200, bat them out of the game and tore them out in the field.

Flight radar 24 looking very interesting in that area right now. Stuff to and from places like Kuwait, UAE and Qatar scattering everywhere.
