  1. Yeovil, Cheltenham or Bristol City away would do me. The only ones close enough to bother going to.
  2. To be fair, you did click on a thread entitled, "What is the attraction in keeping a pet snake?" If I'd posted this on the Pompey Takeover Saga thread you might have a point.
  3. A good rule of thumb is 1 adult to every 5 feet of snake. Anything up to about 10ft and adult should be able to handle safely. 10-15ft you're better off having a friend there to help out handling. Above 15ft 3 people, if you somehow managed to get hold of a 20ft plus snake, 4 people. etc.
  4. Got 2 king snakes. Always wanted one as a kid, so when I left home I bought a couple. They're pretty cool to watch sometimes, much the same as having an aquarium really. Having said that, the novelty has worn off a bit now and I'm looking to sell them. Obviously keeping a 15ft python in the same house as an infant is ridiculous, although no different to having a large aggressive dog.
  5. Glass knees 50p head Toblerone feet Turning circle of a North Sea ferry As much pace as a herd of wild tortoise stampeding through a puddle of warm marmalade Sent of at least twice for punching another player All the subtlety and finesse of a WW2 air raid Apart from that a good solid pro.
  6. I'd agree with that, I thought Yoshi was excellent overall last year. Especially considering he has never played in England and was throw in at the deep end (with sharks) in that Emirates horror show. Once Cork, Boruc and Yoshi slotted into the team we sealed up massively in defence. It was only our lack of scoring towards the end of the season which cost us a top half finish. I'd definitely start the season with Yoshi and Lovren. Chucking 2 completely new CBs into the team is more than a little risky IMO, we'd be trying to fix problems which aren't really there.
  7. I'd be happy enough with JRod playing off the last man and Gaston in the hole for now. It's all a bit pointless debating this at the moment, we will sign another striker this month and he would probably displace Rickie as first choice striker anyway.
  8. Was a decent striker but when Burley lost the plot in summer 2007 his form completely flopped. He would have done well playing in a decent team as he did in his initial loan period.
  9. Except he wasn't. Pulis was an utterly hopeless football. So were Darren Powell, Lee Molyneux and Zoltan Liptak. De Ridder just never fitted into our team and our way of playing. He had some talent but Saints progress through the leagues just overtook him. I will always remember his goal away at Coventry completely emptying the Ricoh Arena for the last 10 minutes of the game.
  10. Hull and Ipswich at home in the Championship he definitely made a positive impact. The Blackpool miss was bad but a lot of players have moments like that. No worse than Lallana missing an open goal at Norwich this year, yet he seems more easily forgiven.
  11. I was there for that one too. Think I aged about 50 years over the course of that game. Going 2-0, 2-2, 4-2, 4-4 against one of your closest promotion rivals isn't good for the blood pressure.
  12. That would explain all the adverts for gay fetishist ocean cruises I keep getting.
  13. Exactly. Pretty much every club will have players saying stuff like this about their manager. I remember players being full of praise for Jan Poortvleit.
  14. Is this one of those threads where people get outraged over something nobody has actually said? There aren't any haters, nobody is writing him off, saying he is sh*t, saying he isn't good enough for the Premier League or anything like that. It's just fair honest criticism of his overall game, the same as any other player. He isn't beyond criticism just because he is a local, academy grown player. He needs to improve his final ball and his shooting if he is to keep his place in the team. Lallana wont get into a top 6 team playing like he did last season and that is where Saints have to be aiming.
  15. The depth can be deceptive but I'd have said that train was doing well North of a tonne when the accident happened. Certainly look far in excess of what would 'look' to be a safe speed around a bend like that. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ytHe8aJyjfk
  16. Kenwyne Jones, he could do either. If I had to choose though, striker. I don't think Lambert will score as many this season and I think some teams were starting to figure him out. JRod I think will be better but I can't see him banging in 20 and getting on the plane to Brazil just yet. Mayuka has yet to score at all and with only a handful of goals coming from midfield I think we need more firepower up front. CB I am reasonably happy with, although I think we can do better than Jose and Jos.
  17. I think I know the place you mean, we went there last Christmas.
  18. Scott, if we signed Thomas Oar from Utrecht it's really going to screw with your OCD.
  19. He just phoned Cortese and said, "I'm you're man!"
  20. I said similar things towards the end of last season. Whilst most of our players seemed to improve with experience last year, I felt Adam did relatively little and seemed to ghost through the season, always being there but making minimal impact. He needs a big step up next year. He has gone from being one of out strongest players in the lower divisions to being one of the weaker players in our current starting 11.
  21. What record? BWP was never convicted of anything.
  22. Can someone please find a blurry picture of a black guy taken from a hotel window, so we can have a long discussion about the shape of his ear lobes. Thanks xxx
  23. Beattie in the qualifiers, Saganowski in the groups.
  24. Didn't some Danish people get in trouble for drawing Mohammed?
