The article goes on to accuse Young of killing Diana.

This is a bit like when Roy Hodgson called Townsend a monkey last year. There wasn't a sane person in the country who thought he was actually being racist but that didn't stop the media telling us all it was a big race row.

We're due something against Spurs. Those two last minute winners at the Lane were hard to take, especially after being 2-0 up last season.

I think the home game that season is the only appearance against us he hasn't scored in. Scored against us at SMS when Pardew was in charge, then again in the JPT the next season and in the only League game he played. Then at Turf Moor the year after, then yesterday. I left him in my FF team deliberately for this weekend.

As a neutral, I really wouldn't be that interested in Saints just because they've beaten 4 crap teams. I thought our billing last night was fair enough, if every fan started demanding extended highlights showing every chance, MOTD would be 3 hours long. Just be glad we aren't in League 1 any more, watching 30s of highlights at 1am. The matches are order on how exciting the game was. Our game was entertaining enough but hardly riveting.

Shameful dive from Lallana there.

Who's this Irish Muppet commentating on the Hull game. Sounds like he is talking to people who have never watched football before.

I think you could tell which team had just played a midweek game at the EK and who had the night off. They looked fresher second half and caused us a few problems. Having said that, we would have been out of sight if we had taken a couple of the chances we wasted. Good to grind out a result. Not at our best but we got the job done. What a goal from Pelle too. Tikkabooson.

Didn't we get him sacked? Remember Beattie scoring a belter of a free kick at the lane.
-
No there isn't.

Last time out maybe but we spanked them in their own back yard in the away game (before 'Arry was there). Hopefully they put out the same dreadful performances they've been doing in every other game so far.

Speak for yourself. For me the main concern was about how we spent the money we made through player sales. Koeman's team has so far proven my point, it's not about who you sell it's who you replace them with. Liverpool seem to be finding this out, having lost a striker who would terrify most Premier League defences they have struggled to cause anywhere near the same problems this year.

There are some on here who burst into tears about a cup tie 30 years ago every time the word 'Everton' is mentioned. 'Arry on the other hand can p*ss off. As dodgy as a £9 note.

Shrews at home and Chelsea, City, Spuds and Scousehampton all drawing each other will do for me. Path of least resistance and all that.

I remember a certain FA Cup draw in 2010 when all the teams were listed on the side of the SSN graphics. One by one they kept disappearing until there were two left. Saints and Pompey.

Anyone else think we could be on the verge of something special?

No doubting we've made a strong start but I wouldn't get too excited just yet. We haven't beaten anyone properly decent yet, Newcastle and West Ham were awful, Swansea had nothing when Bony got s/o and Arsenal had their preschool team in defence last night. Having said that, the though of this team with Mane and J Rod is making me a little bit moist. -
Man Utd, Arsenal and Everton out, Liverpool making a meal of it, Poch apparently not interested in cups. If we can avoid City and Chelsea we might have a chance at this.

That's staying hit. Worthy of winning any match. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YbEmHffBuaM&app=desktop

That's by no means guaranteed. Most people spent the first half of last year saying Man Utd will come good, Moyes just needs time. Liverpool don't look anything special without Suarez either. They probably will finish above us but I wouldn't give up all hope just yet.
-
Which is why I will always be in favour of selling big time Charlies like Lallana and Lovren if they want out. The board 'putting their foot down' and 'growing a pair' is all well and good but if you end up with a dressing room full of Anelkas, Lovrens and Bartons it doesn't matter how talented they are. Without the right atmosphere in the dressing room, the biggest names in football will look hopeless.

Arsenal but we're the only 3 winners from last year's top half.

Bad news for our title hopes

You wont get a crush as long as there are metal barrages along every three or four rows and you don't have fences. Fences were the problem at Hillsborough, without them that day would have just been a few hundred Scousers wandering around on the pitch. I've seen the footage of the Valley Parade fire and it sends a shiver down my spine when I think what could have happened if that stand had been fenced in. We would be looking at a death toll which would have dwarfed 9/11. It's easy to just say the Scousers will never allow safe standing but has anyone actually asked them. I would be interested to see a poll on a LFC forum. Obviously there will be a few people so blinded by grief that just refuse to hear any kind of discussion on the subject but perhaps the rest will be a bit more open to the idea.
