  1. Certainly can't complain about big teams raising there game against us tonight, they have been awful. Almost as bad as Sunderland were first half but we squandered our chances. The difference between us I fear is that they will turn on the style second half and take a couple of chances.
  2. I'm guessing we didn't draw 1970s Brazil then?
  3. Now you've done it.
  4. Nothing more than we've deserved.
  5. I think I will spend the latter part of my life in a padded cell somewhere muttering, "shoot, f**king shoot."
  6. Been all Saints so far. Cue 2-0 Utd from a sloppy Saints error.
  7. F**king hell Mane
  8. They have Falcao on the bench, we have Jake Hesketh. Cheque book out please Kat.
  9. I doubt anything has changed since that game.
  10. "3-0 down against a pub side!" Nope, definitely no arrogant, big time Charlie, glory supporting there.
  11. No, you are right with that definition. If that's the same as what I am saying then fair enough, it is gross negligence. I just feel it should be distinguished from being simply lazy or careless as you are actively choosing to put lives in danger for no valid reason.
  12. I wouldn't argue against it if using a phone whilst driving was given a similar punishment. Texting certainly is lethal. The difference is that someone might spend 30 seconds of an hour long car journey distracted by texting. A drunk driver will have impaired judgement and reactions for the entire journey.
  13. You could list a hundred distractions to the average road user. Kids, pets, music, food, whatever. We've all had a text whilst driving and looked down to see who it's from, or changed the radio, eaten some God forsaken Ginsters pasty from the services. etc. etc. I think there should be tougher sentences for people caught using phones. Food not so much, I'm perfectly capable of eating a sandwich whilst driving and never looking away from the road. Drink driving is worse than any of them IMO because it impairs your judgement, coordination and reaction times for the whole duration of the journey. It would be like looking down at your phone writing a text for the WHOLE time you were driving. I don't see why the punishments should be less than attempted murder. There is no need for ANYBODY to EVER do it. If I ruled the country I would say it's 10 years in prison and if you don't like it then don't drink drive.
  14. Perhaps, I'm not expecting this to be the law and I'm sure there is a lot of legal waffle about why it couldn't be made the case. I just see it as being that bad on a moral level. To me it is in the same mindset as walking into a school with a gun and shooting in random directions. You might not be trying to kill anyone but you are wilfully committing actions which very easily could kill someone. I would say it's worse than simply negligence. To give another example, supposing you were the safety inspector in some form of industrial gasworks. A negligent man would not bother to check a safety value, leading to a big explosion. Whereas drink driving would be like deliberately opening a safety value for no reason, knowing that it would release explosive gasses. Sorry if these examples seem odd, I'm just trying to show how I think drink driving is worse than simply negligence.
  15. Chambers at fault for Stoke's first goal, then s/o later on. Lovren unused sub Lallana and Lambert ineffective according to Merson.
  16. I think a few teams have raised their game against us this season. QPR certainly put in their best away performance at St Mary's. Leicester too were anything but crap in that game. West Brom were pretty resilient too. On the flip side Newcastle, Sunderland and Swansea (okay Bony) all put in a stinker so I guess it evens out.
  17. Shame we didn't get to see Lovren vs. Altidore. The stoppable force against the moveable object.
  18. This is just a little bit amusing.
  19. Or maybe it just shows that Yoshida isn't as bad as some on here would like to believe. He has been thrown on against Arsenal and Man City due to injuries and done alright. Sure he has looked nervy and made a couple of mistakes but you would expect that. It would be wildly optimistic to expect Southampton's back up defender to make it look easy against Aguero and Sanchez.
  20. Poor old Brompey, 3-0 down after 20 minutes.
  21. Newcastle win Pardew out
  22. So deliberately doing something very dangerous and not caring if you kill anyone is nowhere near as deliberately trying to kill someone in your opinion? To me it's the same. If your kids were run over and killed by a drunk driver and he came up to you and said, "look I didn't try to kill them, I just don't give a sh*t that I did," how would you feel? That's what it comes down to, a dead person is dead whether you meant to kill them or not.
  23. Well, the German's have just the thing. It's their latest 'erotic carp calendar'. No boob loving angler should have to live without. NSFW http://www.bild.de/regional/bremen/angeln/erotischer-karpfen-kalender-2015-38288726.bild.html
  24. Just to add, the two sports I'm into at the moment are football and paint ball. Now, there are a small number of female regulars but as a sport it is firmly in the manly category. Just a casual observation but the kind of women I meet paintballing probably wouldn't be seen in high heels at a One Direction concert.
