  1. Those 2 goals against the Dons were significant only in their timing. They were both near enough tap ins at home to a pretty average Dons team and he has done bugger all else since apart from a couple in the League Cup against League 2 sides. JVD was so good that we brought in Bernard to replace him. He couldn't get in the side ahead of that clueless muppet and a geriatric Graeme Le Saux. Lloyd James is an average, bottom half of League 1 player. We've had worse but there really wasn't anything to his game to get excited about. No pace, no physical presence, limited passing, very rarely troubled the score sheet.
  2. That's 1 game. Granero is normally the player who gets dragged off at HT when QPR are losing. I'm not one to trust Harry Redknapp's judgement but he can't be playing all that well if he's the first player they drag off when things are going wrong. Once playing for Real Madrid is meaningless if you've not doing it any more. Pascal Cygan and Francis Jeffers were part of the invincible Arsenal squad, whilst Man Utd had David Bellion, Liam Miller and Eric Djemba Djemba. I wouldn't have signed any of those for Saints at the time, especially not on the £60k plus a week Granero will demand.
  3. Davenport Poke O'Halloran Makin J. Wright Powell Kenton Nilsson Sarmiento Thomson James Lancashire Melis Forte Bignall Forecast Pericard McGoldrick Euell Bennett R. Smith Gasmi Pulis Robertson Pekhart Van Damme Jackobsson Hajto Good grief we signed some gash.
  4. Because he's sh*te.
  5. Darren Powell. My goodness he was bad.
  6. Think that's pretty much what Bradford said 7 years ago.
  7. Guessing you mean Yeovil but yes, they are 7 points clear of Walsall in 7th who only have 2 games left. They may even rest player. Wouldn't rule anything out in that game, we all remember how random League 1 was. How many times did we go to the likes of Tranmere, Walsall and Colchester and get beat.
  8. Companies on Facebook who say "Like/share this photo of our new shoes/outfits/whatever for a chance to win a pair". As a result my newsfeed is now clogged up with girls sharing pictures of shoes in a desperate attempt to win some freebees.
  9. Hoping one of our loaned out players can put in a good performance for Oldham tonight and hopefully net the winner.
  10. How about a Saints vs Saints game, just for a laugh, if you've apparently got 30 odd volunteers?
  11. Yes, I'd imagine physical assault would be a breach of his contract.

  13. Swansea: 2-1 defeat West Brom: 2-1 win Spuds: 3-0 defeat Sunderland: 2-2 draw Stoke: 1-1 draw
  14. Just done the predictor and had us staying up on 42 whilst Villa go down on GD to Wigan on 37 points. That's beating West Brom, drawing against Stoke and losing the other 3 so being pretty harsh on Saints.
  15. Agree. Jos is a big physical centre half. Fonte is a cultured ball player who can play it out from the back. Yoshida has a bit of pace and can read the game well. If you want to find a pacey, cultured, ball playing brick sh*t house you are going to have to fork out North of £20m. Until then I think all 4 of our CBs have a role to play.
  16. Our defence is doing well enough not to shift it around and we aren't going to gain much by playing him. Putting Forren into the team could upset that as he isn't used to playing with the first team. I would predict that, injuries permitting he wont play for us in the last 5 games. Not until we are mathematically safe at least. Why risk it if we don't have to. The fact is we have only let in 3 in the last 5 games and 2 of those were set pieces. If it aint broke don't fix it.
  17. I'd have said the same when QPR went to Chelsea. Never say never although it would take a brave man to bet against City.
  18. Don't fancy Newcastle's fixtures much. Trips to West Ham, QPR and WBA with Arsenal and Liverpool at home.
  19. What has Lambert got to do with anything? Why would he care what Gaston is earning, Rickie has just signed a new contract which I doubt he is doing too badly out of. You might have a point if Gaston wasn't putting a shift in but that isn't his problem. Yes, the last thing a struggling player needs is support from his own fans.
  20. Yeovil and Crawley at home, then Shrews and Orient away. I reckon there might be 2 draws in there. Or Lee Barnard could get the winner at home to Yeovil on Tuesday and send them down.
  21. A draw will do. After the last 3 wins we can't really complain. Both teams edging towards mid table obscurity, none of our rivals have won either. Pompey lose and are as good as down. I'll take it.
  22. I thought both teams were sh*te first half at Upton. I vaguely remember the MOTD highlights from that game, there was one shot off target for the first half and that was all they showed.
  23. Sh*t! Mods can someone lock this please.
