  1. As I said. Nailed on 0-0.
  2. Tuesday night at home to the Posh. A quick flick through their matches this season doesn't tend to yield a lot of clean sheets for either team, with Peterborough not having any. A 2-2 against Millwall is also their only draw this season. All this points towards a really crap 0-0. Not really sure about the team, it depends on the fitness of various players, most notably Guly, Frazer, Lallana and Barnard. Assuming they are all fit, I'd go with the same team, with Barny on the bench for DC. Knowing Adkins and having 3 games in 8 days, I'd expect a couple of changed though. I don't mean to sound cocky but... Let's f**kin' 'ave 'em!!
  3. It's not like we've had easy games either. Of the 11 teams in the top half, we've played 8 of them, won 5, drawn 2 and 1 defeat. That doesn't include tough trips to Reading, Burnley and Leicester.
  4. Get in!
  5. Ooooh Rickie. That would have been the best of the lot.
  6. Get in!! Great build up from Rickie!!
  7. 'tator keeps talking about "last season" which was in fact 7 years ago. Clearly just a lazy git with a piece of paper saying "This fixture last time" and assumed it was last year.
  8. Sh*t idea. Will never work.
  9. Bummer, Wham have scored twice. Just to recap, we are supporting Leicester, Reading, Forest and er... Pompey today.
  10. Get in there!!!!!
  11. Skates losing already.
  12. Didn't West Ham have a thread like this last week? Went a bit like this...
  13. Heard a brief bit on the radio today that AVB had 'dedicated' last nights win to John Terry. Wonder if he will be dedicating wins to every player who isn't racist.
  14. Not sure what the point in this thread is. Everyone knows hippies are cold blooded.
  15. Bit of an odd comment after a game he didn't even take part in. He was taken off as a precaution with a tight hamstring at Reading and rested with the other first team players last night. I'm 90% certain he will be back in the starting line up come Saturday. I think we're okay with cover at the moment. We have 4 players capable of playing CB, not including Jaidi and Seaborne. In an emergency we can always get someone else in. Personally I think we needed to be a bit more ruthless in summer regards to letting players go. Jaidi did a great job last season, but he'd have been one of them IMO. Same with Forte and Connolly.
  16. Just back. 12 hours of my life I'll never get back. Never had high hopes going into that but I would at least like to have seen us make a decent fist of it. As it was I saw two seems cruising along in 1st gear until a defensive cock up handed them the tie with 15 mins left. Forte was absolute garbage. He shouldn't be made scapegoat for this result, but he really was poor. Looked no better when I saw him at Swindon earlier in the competition either. One to get rid of IMO. The ref I am sure didn't give us a single free kick until the 85th minute. The linos gave us a couple, but the ref was just like, "oh is it? okay, if you like...". Not even a simple free kick in our own half. One time a Saints player got fouled right on the edge of their area, about 3 yards left of centre. De Ridder, marked by 2 men, chased the loose ball down towards the corner flag and the muppet let us play on for advantage. The kids had reasonable enough debuts. I'd love to come on here and say they were shining beacons of talent, but I can't really on that performance. Steady enough though and JWP seemed to grow in confidence after a shaky start. Reeves would benefit immensely playing with Rickie up front instead of Forte, who was pretty much useless as a partner. Bart was fine, kicking much improved. Nothing he could do for either goal. Morgan and Martin I thought were worthy of a mention too. Morgan played the ball around midfield very well. Martin looked very composed in defence, along side Cork who also did well. Holmes and De Ridder both a bit hit and miss, although in fairness they didn't have much to aim for going forward. For me the biggest positive of the evening... BARNARD. Didn't do much in his brief cameo, but he is fit again. With him in the side in place of DC I think we will look much better up front. With Lallana fit and DC and De Ridder on the bench, we will be a seriously good team.
  17. Great news IMO. Hope he gets on the pitch. Any idea who that is on the back row behind Barney? It looks a bit like Lallana, but I highly doubt it.
  18. Always thought Sven was like a Swedish George Burley. Capable of spending vast amounts of money and achieving average results, but wont actually win anything. Speaking of which, I'd love it if either Leicester or Pompey appointed Burley. P.S. I don't see why Adkins would go to Leicester. They have been more liberal in spending the cash, but we probably have more in the kitty.
  19. Guly and Forte were useless together against Swindon of all teams. They wont get a look in against a pretty decent Palace side. Neither of them can hold the ball up to save their lives. It's like having Stern John and BWP up frong again, we just give the ball away up front. Ideally we need another Lambert.
  20. Skacel vs Brum Vignal vs Scunny Waigo vs Norwich (JPT) Forte vs Dons They're about as mental as I can remember going at a Saints game. I got pretty excited about our equalisers at Burnley and Derby too.
  21. Bart Butters Martin Hoover Harding De Ridder Chaplow Morgan Holmes Lambert Forte
  22. The RSPCA have been called to Old Trafford. Apparently people witnessed a sick swan there earlier today
  23. I would 6-1 be a Utd fan right now.
