I'd be pretty happy with just one decent centre mid as our remaining buy. Our depth generally seems reasonable and provides opportunities for our academy products. Even if Boufal goes you've got options for fourth choice spot in Smallbone and potentially Sims who have had impact from bench in the past. Wouldn't oppose signing someone else but it isn't as critical as CM.

Random Ex- Academy Player Transfer News no-one will care about...

His career has been in a tailspin for last couple of years. Interesting to see if he can do anything there. -
Can't say i was overly impressed by Lerma last season.
-
Given we’ve got lots of time and got 10m from midfielders that would be a criminal decision.

I starting to wonder if the topic listing page is a myth as I haven’t seen it for ages. Mostly able to use more recent topic navigation to see and post.

Well who says Reed wasn't at Saints level. He chose to go to Fulham rather than stay with us. Personally i've always liked McNair as a player(he made some poor career moves though) having seen him play a number of times. I mentioned him as he's a domestic player i know who fits the versatile role I've already said i can't speak for whether there's better viable options abroad in our price range that fit that versatility.

I have been wondering if we'd like someone a bit versatile, so that's onteresting about him. With my limited player knowledge the only one i could think of was Paddy Mcnair in the championship.

Hope he does ok for them but not too well. Basically a mirror of targett at villa would be fine. -
Please don't be that level of incompetence with our limited resources.

Interesting to see no Gunn at all (hopefully means he's off) and seeing Klarer involved as the fourth centre back rather than someone like Jones. Can't say i like having some variation of (Smallbone/Jankewitz/Slattery) as third choice centre mid.
-
I can understand his frustration when parrott gets selected in front of him. Airing his frustration is less understandable.
-
Hopefully we sell Gunn rather than loan him out.

I’d hardly call it back up as it’s not as if Romeu is a nailed on starter. I don’t see why an alternative would definitely be worse, not like every midfielder in the league is rubbish and Reed was the only beacon of okayness. we signed Armstrong for 7m from Scotland, so it’s not as if you can’t potentially get a decent player without having to spend 15-20m.

I can get the need to freshen it up, getting rid of 3 at once seems a bit extreme. Wonder if it’s cost cutting too. i can’t say i’ve Ever found Clinton Morrison impressive, so i’d Hope it’s a proper recruitment process not a grab the next cab off the rank that looks good in a pr release. -
I’d prefer to just re-invest the 8m Reed money now in a similar championship replacement rather than holding out for some 20m player next summer. It’s too important to be scrabbling around for a makeshift loan.

Good news if there’s an obligation to buy in there. -
I’d very disappointed if we lose both hojberg and reed and don’t bring anyone in. I wonder if we’ll look for someone with some versatility. Ralph has liked in the past moving jwp around tactically which feels less viable now he’s our midfield lynchpin.
-
No Reed, is that confirmation he’s off.
-
I'd be disappointed if Ings and JWP don't get called up. Can't see any of the others at the moment. Think ship has sailed on Bertrand's international career in Southgate's eyes.

No issues personally with a betting company. Does the .io mean they are indian based? At least it is less horrific looking. Pity it has that bitcoin image.
-
Think he’s an ok player and would have been an improvement on long. However we’ve re-signed long for another 2 years so would be a slightly odd move.
-
For such a big money potential buy I find it worrying that there are such negative reviews of him as a player.
-
Wouldn’t mind getting money for Gunn and getting butland as part exchange.

Seems an ok signing for Spurs, getting a fancier 3rd choice to help warm up the real keepers. The joke is that Hart has given up on playing football at 33.
