Originally I was happy when he was selected for the French squad. Now I'm wishing he hadn't been.

Lallana completes move to LFC for a fee of around £25m

The difference to me seems to be that Lambert was given a good write-up by the club and an official message to the fans. Lallana has had to take out a paid advertisement to get the space for his message because the club (or the Echo come to that) weren't giving him the opportunity for free. -

Also Shaw isn't an employee any longer. Guan said nothing about Shaw (as we all well know) until he left and there was even a couple of days clearance before he said this. -
Simon Yates also made it (Adam didn't) so it's four Brits in the tour. Just need one of the OPQS hardmen to take out Kittel on stage one and we should be good...

50-1? Wow. I know nobody is really looking outside of Froome/Contador/Nibali but that sounds amazingly long for a guy who has to be considered a serious contender. BMC are a strong team.

No Wiggo, no David Millar, no Dowsett, no Kennaugh, no Swift, no Stannard, no Steve Cummings so unless Orica take one or both of the Yates boys, there's only three Brits this year. Admittedly two are previous jersey winners, but still, bummer for Yorkshire. So who's going to win? I'm going Contador although you never know with him, depends what he's been eating. Froome to fall on the cobbles somewhere and never quite make it back in.

I'm disappointed because it appears our entire squad is up for sale despite us "not needing the money". I want someone from the club to speak up and say "that's it, no more for sale" but it appears that isn't going to happen. Seems to me clubs have to sell from time to time, and bigger players will move on. But having the entire guts of a squad ripped out in one go? Surely unprecedented, and that's why I'm disappointed. That, and the fact nobody seems to have any interest in stopping it.

Agree with the above, I know we would have all been watching out for him but he looked very comfortable. Felt he was asked to do a different job to his usual Saints role, more in the Big Vic/Jack Cork spot, although he did fill in at left-back once or twice. Super player.

That's the first thing today that made me interested in the World Cup. I mean Rooney and Gerrard coming on as subs? Really?

St. Mary's becomes first European stadium to have LED floodlights

Thing is, they need to light up the pitch not the seats. -
So basically, he's Guly. Good, we need to replace him.
-
Still don't get why Welbeck remains anywhere near the squad? Is this like John Barnes playing for Bobby Robson for six years on basis of one good run-and-goal? Maybe he has compromising photos of Hodgson or Greg Dyke or something. Almost worth bringing back Heskey to add some lard to the line up.

Someone had better tell Tottenham that their next manager has been lined up for when Poch gets the boot.
-
Good point, I take it all back. FIFA has a fair system for all manner of indiscipline: "all bribery and corruption - internal and very very VERY strict investigation. making a silly joke about sepp blatter's name - lifetime ban."
-
True, even Andy D'Urso would have been hard-pressed to do some of those refereeing decisions. It was amazingly bad, and also so obvious what was going on.

Someone should tell Roy that we don't actually need the money. We already are very rich. From what I can gather, we're lacking 1. Champions League football and 2. People lobbying for our club from within the England squad, including the captain and manager. It's like going to the French castle and asking if the guy would like to join the search for the grail. Roy says that by selling these guys we can get a great big pile of cash. "Tell 'I'm we already 'ave one!!!"

ooh teddy teddy

The only reason to appoint Sherwood would be that you could almost guarantee Tottenham won't steal him.
-
Don't even care any more. If he wants to go, let him go. The quicker the better so we can move on.
-
Don't worry, he won't have time to turn everyone against him, he'll be at Tottenham come January after MoPo is sacked.
-
Totally agree. We have to see some kind of player price inflation as a result of the new TV money coming in. We might sell Shaw for 30m and have to spend 70m to re-buy Danny Fox.

Davis (S) or JWP. Possibly Boruc just because he'd love it.
-
If he doesn't want to stay, I wouldn't him to be forced to stay, esp if there's behind-the-scenes stuff between players and board/Reed. Id rather he was allowed to move if it's a question of him really not wanting to stay. But after all he's been through with us, I'd like to think he'd at least be OK staying. Hard to read between the lines right now... but if he wants out, let him go.

This.

I wonder if he's on his way out also actually. He's making statement that are immediately being made to look silly, and it seems a little like he knew little enough about it to say that stuff. He may be the next departure?
