He’s pictured in the latest club snaps for the trip to Spain.

I’ve seen Stu Armstrong around London. He strikes me as the type of guy who would be looking for lifestyle over football. Yes, I know Southampton’s an hour or so away but there’s no comparison between the affluent areas of west London and Ocean Village…

The amount of negative responses to decisions made by the club towards players who promoted us last season is staggering. It didn’t take long for the negativity to seep back in after the high of the playoff final. I’d imagine a major factor in last season’s success was Russell Martin instilling a positive team ethic around the club - one that had slowly eroded under Ralph and capitulated under Nathan Jones. Adam Armstrong and Stephens may not have cut it in the Premier League but they are an integral presence in this core of players. Those who think the likes of ABK and Alcaraz will put their previous stints behind them are deluded.

This guy is my new favourite. The next Saints cult hero.

Sugawara will definitely cut it
-
Or the next Lyanco haha
-
We do. He has 25 PL appearances under his belt with West Ham.

I’m watching it via a live stream on B-anter.

Yeah - it’s definitely the sponsor that ruins it , to be fair.

Yep, that’s a dud.

One I posted on the other thread: A spoonful of Suga helps the Pompey scum go down, It’s the Southampton way

I have a feeling £20million for Delap will be seen as a snip in a few years time.

Ultimately, we have a young manager players want to play for. We’ve not had that for a while. Hopefully we’ll be an attractive proposition again.

Germany v Netherlands final IMO.

Watching Saints win in the playoff final has sucked every last drop of serotonin from my body - there’s zero chance I’ll get any enjoyment out of watching England play.

Really enjoying Romania-Ukraine!

Let it go. Remember the overreaction to Hoddle’s potential return back in 2004? We ended up with Luggy, setting the wheels in motion for relegation.

It’s an inspired bit of business. Our young players don’t have the same affinity to the club fans have, so they’re not going to care about the way Lallana left (and I don’t know why so many are still hung up on it). This is a Champions League and Premier League winner with England caps. He’s achieved what our youngsters will be dreaming of. His experience and guidance will be invaluable. We sorely lacked that in our relegation season (apart from Walcott, who had a fraction of the career Lallana has had) so I’m glad we’re now recognising a mix of youth and experience will go a long way.

We’re watching the Euro 2024 winners.

Promotion positivity didn’t last long with you lot then. Saints fans in reverting to type shock. Welcome back, Adam.
