  1. Our shirt has a different stripe configuration to Brentford's as well (the opposite in fact), plus additional black trim, a collar, and a different back. Given the fact that their kit is predominantly white with red stripes, and ours is predominantly red with white stripes, i really struggle to see the fuss. People are acting like they've taken the sportsbet sponsor off our shirt and stuck on Brentford's sponsor.... I bet united fans are fuming that they've copied crew or Barnsley's etc kits for years. We play in red and white stripes (some of the time). Think it says a lot that fans have to get upset over our kids shirt being too similar to another team's kit.... Crikey!! That's a low bar for complaints about future kits....
  2. A multimillionaire could do a lot with a street terraced houses 😅
  3. Bad news for us if so. That's another team we're unlikely to finish above.
  4. It really isn't. He's done little all season and Walker and James are better than him right now. He isn't the player from last season. He's been picked because Klopp QQ'd a river and it just goes to show the risks of picking players that have had injury issues over the course of the season. Also, why is tripper in the squad 🤣
  5. TAA now injured and unable to walk off around the pitch without 2 guys holding up. Quality pick there Gareth at least Klopp won't be able to moan at you for picking him...
  6. So just looked at it. We've got 2 strikers. If Kane gets injured or suspended our tournament hopes are as good as over. DCL is simply not good enough. Let alone Kane simply getting tired. How can we go with a 26 man squad and not pick suitable cover in the most pivotal area? At this point Watkins, Bamford and ings etc have been dropped for sako, a 3rd/4th right back, and sancho (when we already have sterling, rashford, grealish, foden, Mount). That's essentially 7 possible wingers in 2 spots 😆. As for right backs. TAA, walker, tripper, James... Why are there 10 defenders, 4 right backs and 7 wingers 🙈... like wtf. With our attacking talent we should be one of the clear favourites for this tournament - reckon the minimum we should be expecting is semis or finals. But we are very blatantly about to turn up and play with 4/5 defenders and two central midfielders. At least we'll have some quality counter attacking wins vs minnows like the Czechs and Scotland to look forward to. My biggest fear is that we are predictably shite but progress far enough for Southgate to get to the world Cup and waste yet another generation of talented players. FFS.
  7. When are our away and 3rd kits being released?
  8. Man ffs. I've always had a little soft spot for Wrexham and was thinking i'd start following them (as my lower league team - along with Bristol Rovers) under Deadpool's stewardship. Is there no escaping Les F'ing Reed?
  9. I suspect he's just keeled over to be honest.
  10. Agreed. Its bad enough that Southgate is a bang average manager with next to no tactical nuance. Watching him mismanage that squad in the big games is so hard. But if he then drops Ings for Watkins and DCL, and JWP for Philips i'll be supporting St Stu and St Adams.
  11. Sounds like he's missed out then. Harsh if true.
  12. I doubt its genuine but could be wrong. It seems to appear every summer as a fan mock up.
  13. Stunning home kit for me. Also love the detailing of the Dell and St Mary's.

    20/21 Kit

Cheers Craig! Excited to see how it looks!
  15. Danny fox, big Jos, STEVE, butterfield, Aaron Martin, Frazer Richardson, Chaplow, Sharpe and David Connolly to name a few no doubt. We had a young Lallana and Morgan (who lets be honest were new players at that level) and went on to develop into better and better players. We had Lambert who had never played at that level, Fonte who was a good solid player at that level, and a young cork who went on to have a decent enough prem career. The rest were league 1 / lower championship players. (not aimed at you SOG) - but that is not a strong championship squad. I do not understand the expectation that Adkins should have won the championship. Its like saying city could keep aguero (lambert), foden (lallana), diaz (fonte) and fernandinho (morgan). Then replace the rest of their team with a bunch of Burnley, saints, and palace players and still expect they win the league. Just doesn't hold water for me. He was a great manager for saints, agree that he was the right man at the right time. But we'd have been fine under him in the prem.
  16. We'd have been a far more stable club under him, and we'd have had far less concerns over loyalty. To me, he's the biggest legend of those times, along with Lambert. And if we do ever get relegated, i would have him back.
  17. The most important result is surely the 9-0. Brought the club properly back down to reality and highlighted exactly how much work still has to be done.
  18. No No No. its all Eric Black's fault.
  19. We're knackered now. Fair play to leeds. Read/Played us like a book.
  20. VAR is just match fixing by the back door.
  21. Where were the lines? That was clearly offside by today's standards. Also this ref has had a mare with respect to letting leeds' challenges go, not giving corners etc.
  22. As a member of what I consider to be the silent majority, all I'll say is that IMO, BLM UK has zero place in football. Also fair play to those of you arguing that point. However there really is no point arguing politics on a football message board 🤷‍♂️. Either way, I certainly think no one should advocate the use (or even threats) of banning orders against those who express that viewpoint. Free speech should be absolutely sacrosanct in the UK. And clearly, every person on both sides of this debate recognises that racism should not be tolerated in today's society.
  23. That game at old Trafford was the low point for squad depth - we fielded 11 "first team" players from the entire 18man squad, two of those being keepers, and only 8 (being generous) being players you'd expect to get any real game time normally. So whilst I don't disagree that it would be nice to see him have a run. This is a player who for most of the fans has purely been built up on here, who was clearly a long way down the pecking order prior even to his league debut, and who the manager sees daily and has yet to think is good enough. Given our finances and necessary squad rebuild, I'd rather we try to bank a few million pounds (through league finish), than drop positions due to the manager testing a player he doesn't think is ready - as frustrating as that may be for us fans 🤷‍♂️
  24. If he's going to be given game time, it will be in CM alongside JWP, with Armstrong back out on the right. Or he'll come on as a late sub for Tella/Armstrong/redmond/walcott etc and they'll juggle the formation to put him in the middle. The manager and players see him in training everyday, if he's worthy of game time he'll get it. Saints don't have enough squad depth to ignore a suitable ability player 🤷‍♀️

    Danny Ings

He's in no rush and will wait and see how the euro's goes and whether he can put himself in the shop window. If nothing happens then he'll take the contract offer from saints.
