Stephens has come back quite a few pounds heavier and several yards of the pace. After the weekend's game i'd give Vestergard a chance. KWP should keep the right back spot, and I'd actually keep Romeu in midfield because his technical ability is far beyond PEH's. Smallbone did well, but you have to start Armstrong on current form. I'd start Che Adams up front and give him a crack. We've got nothing to lose in this one, and i bizarrely fancy us to get a result.

Saints very nearly achieved it off their own back under Koeman. Let alone with a mega rich owner behind the scenes. Newcastle have a massive fanbase and great stadium (I think we'd all agree), but their fans are also toxic to the team. Saints are a steady club by a large, its a shame the rug was pulled from under us under Koeman as we were on the verge of being an established top 8 club when he left.

I'd hope we aren't taken over by the Saudi's. We'd become soulless as a club and despised by everyone. I also suspect our entire identity of developing youth players would end. We must be an attractive proposition to buyers, hopefully we get a good one.

Absolutely shocking errors for the 3rd and 4th goals there. The 3rd was awful, the 4th was terrible given he was under no pressure. The 2nd goal he didn't seem to be aware of where his man was, and then never really got off the ground - although in his defence, the striker did have the advantage of a running jump.

The start of that video just made me think of this: So basically, big (but not overly strong), fast, not amazing in the air, can tackle/mark/head, good positioning. but ball watches a fair amount 🤔 Only 20 so would improve. How much are we linked with him for?

Some very transparent and suspiciously biased posters on the Fonte discussion threads. Odd that some posters seem to have such loyalty for the club / Reed that they will still even now actively seek to discredit any negative press aimed at those decisions. Its beyond a joke that we let him go given the wages and money Reed has gone on to waste on other players. Ditto Koeman and ditto numerous others. Reed absolutely dismantled the club we were on course to be and stole a very exciting future from all of us and future generations. And spare me from another Reedist trying to give credit to Reed for the promotion team (as was done in the other thread), he wasn't even at the club when that core was signed

Did you listen to the interview? Reed leaked a fabricated story to the papers that Fonte had handed in a written transfer request.

How much proof do the Reedists still need that he actively used press stories to discredit players and managers and push his agenda. The man hamstrung the club's potential at potentially the most pivotal time in our history. He should be more hated than Lowe for me. At least Lowe transformed the stadium and youth setup. Reed robbed all of us (and future generations) of reaching our potential, dismantled the fan's bond with the players, and saddled us with a journeyman squad and horrendous finances.
