It was a an interesting article, but it was extremely biased. Naive or rose tinted to read it any other way. Its just another club plant in the press. But then why shouldn't the club do that, they have a PR image to manage, even more so when we've been crap.
-
He has completely ****ed up. Doesn't matter what anyone says. Gabbi should have been signed in the summer and he royally messed up the CB's. No defending that and fry is a tool for even bothering to. But then 80% of us know that about him anyway. Didn't even see him being positive pre-Sunderland yet he wants to spout his "club can do no wrong" ******** when he gets a win. Absolutely no backbone or commitment.
-
Not sure why this is humble pie? Was blatantly obvious that we'd win this and I called us smashing them in the pre match thread then bet on it. If people really think we're worse than Sunderland they should take a step back and have a good look at how we've been playing under Puel. We've just needed an effective striker and we now have one! Gabbi's off the ball movement is superb and he links very well with our midfielders and tadic in particular. It's just a shame that the club sold Fonte when vvd was injured, that will probably cost us a fortune in league position come may. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

Good lord this place is depressive. Saints will win today, no doubting that! Sent from my Nexus 9 using Tapatalk

We're going to win this before going on an excellent run of form, charging up the table, and winning the cup final! COYR!!

Boufal is class. Literally Class. Never ceases to amaze me the amount of fans who know next to nothing about the game - just like with Mane and JWP, fans write of our players far far far to early... And besides all that, watching Boufal is one of the greatest joys you can get as a saints fan this season.... The quickness of his feet and ability with the ball are simply the best I've seen in a very long time, he makes Lallana and Tadic look like a donkeys at times and is easily one of the best since Le tissier, if not the best since him.
-
I actually think Puel will come good if Les and the board let him. In truth we should have smashed West Ham with the chances we created. And we're (Forster) is either getting absolutely no luck or he's turned into a cack keeper. I honestly think that if we kept Puel and gave him a bit more money this summer to strengthen the key areas we would be challenging top 7 again.
-
It would be shocking if we let him go. Clearly destined to be a good quality prem striker. His loan at blackburn is doing him the world of good and he is doing a fair bit to steer them out of a serious relegation scrap.
-
Need to pull this off. We are in trouble otherwise. In Puel we trust!
-
Has to either drastically change his ways or go. Simple as that. He is on the verge of completely destroying everything cortese built.
-
Please stop giving credit to reed. It was cortese that achieved that. And this January marked Les Reed's triumph... The removal of the last cortese legacy in fonte. Les Reed has ditched almost all of them... Poch, lallana, Lambert, lovren, Shaw, clyne, wanyama, Morgan, chambers... Our ambition died the second cortese was ousted and the only thing papering over that was koeman... Someone who clearly encroached on Reed's ego/territory and so he was also shifted out.... The only common denominator in everyone that leaves saints is Les Reed. Even the chief scout. And the delusionals on here want to give reed credit for what came before (when good) but blame cortese for the bad. I've even seen them praise him for finding mopo when. Cortese went and bloody head hunted him in person. There was a clear change of ambition the second Les got his hands on the keys and cortese was ousted. Since then he has set about undermining what came before through PR and leaks in the press, whisky dismantling that entire team and structure. Fonte was the last piece. Les Reed dame's the fans' bond to the team, sold the club's soul and appears incapable of letting anyone else at the club performing well and outshining him. Absolutely has to either change his ways or go. And the Fonte/VVD fiasco is the final straw.... But then I've been wanting him out for a couple of years and been insulted for it on this forum non stop. There is literally no excuse for risking our prem place and massively damaging our chances in a cup final the way he has done with do the and VVD. An absolute train wreck.
-
Puel is a yes man. Whatever happens, the board/management deserve and we better pray for a good outcome. Cortese was ousted by Reed. And Reed has now removed all of the cortese era players. Aside from Yoshi, there is no first team players still at the club that Cortese signed... yet in the 3 years since he left we've sold Pelle and Mane that Cortese didn't sign. Given our turnover of players, that is a remarkable bias.
-
Yeah you're probably right... but I reckon its going to get tight at some point, and I imagine the fanbase moral dropping significantly unless Puel turns it around results wise. Currently we're looking at Yoshi and Stephens vs ZLATAN.
-
Just imagine if Romeu or Yoshi get inured. Dont think we'll win again this season.
-
love that your worried about wembley... we're heading for a relegation scrap unless we start averaging 3 goals a game... let that sink in for a bit! At least i got to see VVD's last game in a Saints shirt!

February is knee jerk?
-
Puel out! Oh wait, its okay, because we are in a cup final:lol:
-
In other more cynical words - the kit this year is a bit gash and we've undersold.... therefore we'll use this as a golden chance to flog a few more of them
-
Its a very valid point. I think for a long time now away fans get sniffed at. Its easy to go to home matches, far hard for away games.

Looks like a crap Jayrod to me...
-
Best news all week!!!! Get in VVD. Will have a definite impact on Liverpool if he plays. And on us ofc.
-
I don't think there is any point arguing over this, nor in defending Les. If VVD is out for the semi and we don't get to Wembley as a result then Uncle Les has really dropped a clanger. Has anyone considered what happens if Yoshi or Stephens pick up a knock?!?!?! Say first 20min in the semi And the semi is only one aspect of this, we have been very poor of late and have been relying on our defence quite often to get points. Stephens is a good lad, but its a trial by fire for him tomorrow! Here is to hoping we have another Gem coming through. I guess he's in a win win situation himself, everyone will fear the worst, he gets to start a cup final, and he has an opportunity to really make a name for himself - because certainly there will be a lot of eyes on the untested youngster!!
-
Is VVD fit or not. Pulling my damn hair out here!!! Mind you, I still think we'll win whether he's there or not! Liverpool have a complex about saints these days. The ones who left don't like playing us, their fans no they've raped and pillaged us over the years but they are always the favourites... and yet we nearly always give them a game plus a few hidings... We'll need to score for sure, but I think it might take 2 goals - and I think we'll do it. Go Saints!!! Standard disclaimer - if we lose because of a week defence and no VVD then its 100% going on Les' head.
-
Fonte would give his absolute all for saints in his last ever appearance in a cup semi final. He penned the fans a leaving letter and has had 8 incredible and emotional years here. I really can't believe fans think that little of him.
