If so that is a fair level of commitment from him. Absolutely puts his England place under undue competition.

So to summarise. New manager plays two up top and wins a difficult game set up for a cup upset. Following playing with two strikers and getting a much needed win to boost confidence and make the fans happy... a section of the fanbase now decides to deride another portion of the fanbase because they wanted two strikers on the pitch... and this is despite the fact that we won like that. And instead of enjoying a win, our fans need to start points scoring. My mind boggles at this place at times, why in gods name would we not moan at other fans after a good win and a trip to wembley to look forward to... especially about something that worked! Also, our tactics were clearly more effective. We had more options and generated more chances.

Two games against Chelsea, which is more important?

So. Your attitude is that rather than try and fail, we should just throw it away and avoid the hassle of even trying. This team lost a cup final they should have won against United last season. United are much the same team this year, and are the best team left in the cup. I imagine our team will perform just as well in another final. And also, should we reach the final, the club knows its only cup win was against united... -
Chelsea is the obvious best choice for us. It is who i wanted to draw before the leicster game finished, and I am happy with it now. We would lose to Tottenham or Leicester, and we played united last year. Plus I don't fancy us to beat a jose team fighting for their last bit of silverware.

They are disgraceful brown nose careerists that need to be kicked the hell out of SMS.

So in short, he is a decent manager and some of our fans are delusional to say he isn't good enough for saints.
-
It is beyond me how mopey has been sacked and Les Reed hasn't followed him. He is equally (if not more) culpable for our position. In fact sod that, he is directly culpable. It's his strategy, his player sales, his recruitment (both player and coaching). He is a delusional toxic cancer at the heart of the club and just needs to go. Asap. It's because the happy clappers (pulling a full bed wetting now) have buried their heads in the sand for the past few years under this board, and chose to believe and not question the hype. The wheels have come off completely this season and because most of them weren't expecting it they're now looking around for anything to moan about or blame.... and it's turned in to some pathetic bed wetting echo chamber. This. He is a decent manager. Ours fans need to support him and the team if he comes. One other merit to Hughes, assuming he keeps us up, I think he will push us on.... and unlike a lot of managers, he won't be easily poached. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

Never mention tranmere!!! Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

Am I the only one who thinks Hughes as a decent enough track record and will be far better for us that most of the likely names being mentioned over the past 3windows (with the exception of Touchel)? Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

I personally think he's a decent appointment, at least in the short term. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

Always interesting with old Reedy. The more vociferous the abuse on here, the more suddenly he takes action in the real The guy knows damn well the fans are onto him next. If we go down its his head on the line.
-
we would get above 99% this time!
-
Logged on to see if he had gone yet. Sadly not. A quick ****s sake. Ending on, "Les Reed Out!!!"
-
PEH's interview on solent at least is worth something. "We need to be a side that is difficult to beat. Of course we cannot beat everyone, we would like to, but we cannot be easy to beat. We cannot get overrun 3-0 by Newcastle, its just not possible." Also alluded extensively to tempers and strong words in the dressing room. Fair play for coming out and fronting up.
-
January 2017 - the last time Les Reed faced the fans on BBC radio solent. He hasn't had much to say for himself lately, that's for sure.
-
The mistake is thinking that if we go down it will only be one division. We have an absent owner and inept (possibly will-fully) board. We could end up like blackpool for all you know.
-
Put it this way. If we get relegated, it won't be because of Carrillo.
-
- I shouldn't laugh, but....
-
Not going to turn on the players when they are but small individual parts in a much larger **** up they didn't create. However. We have spunked £20m up the wall.
-
Take this season as a microcosm and Imagine if NC was still here - do people seriously think we'd still be in this state? Obviously not right? So then why is it accepted because its Reed / our current board? Because they deserve credit for things that were arguably another man's work anyway? We need a total clear out from the top.
