  1. So the council spent £10m on the refurb, and the fire proof cladding costs circa £2 more per square metre. So somewhere in the region of £5-6k. You still think this is down to the council underspending on the cladding to save money? 5K on 10million? Yeah right...
  2. Imagine the wages he could command in China. Not saying he will go there... but imagine.
  3. Sounds like Ronald!! ^_^
  4. We should be looking at Cairney!
  5. Or VVD, Pelle, Tadic, Cedric, Bertrand etc etc etc.... Remember that Liverpool post that got quoted as us ****ing away their investment in us.... When they then sign Mane for a 350% profit.... I honestly think our fans are mental sometimes. Redmond for £10-12m is an absolute bargain in today's market, and one of our better players by far. My god, people think we are blunt with him on the pitch... we'd be a damn site worse without him.
  6. Fulham or Sheffield Wednesday Manager for me. Reckon both are on the shortlist.
  7. Honestly? Given the ridiculous wages we'd have to pay them, the fact they aren't anything significantly better than what we have, and the fact that both would block homegrown/academy players... I'm astounded you would sign them?!?! What do you reckon their wages are, 100k-150k... I'd rather stephens gets game time than Smalling, and I'd wager that the change in ability is not worth the costs involved between yoshi, stephens and smalling. Then for Delph, who's spot does he take, JWP, Redmond, Davis, Boufal... Its just not worth the money. No way. Get better for cheaper, or play kids. Also, when we signed Bertrand we had a gaping hole in the team following the sale of Shaw...
  8. If we have a repeat of last summer we'll be in a relegation scrap this year... Imagine flogging that many goals from the team again, we just wound't score next season
  9. Like last summer So far the board have done okay tbh. They manned the feck up over VVD, and they're trying to make positive moves over the management. Still have a niggly feeling that the uncertainty over the club has already cost us in the transfer market (with regards to incomings). Hopefully they appoint a quality manager and the transfers start rolling over the line.
  10. Have to say that is feels like nothing more than a face saving exercise by the club (unless there is someone really special at the top). Reminds me of last summer where we were linked with loads of good targets... before announcing Puel and saying he was the best man for the job. I mean its fair enough, the club need to big up the man they ultimately get, but it is what it is at the same time.
  11. Yes it is confirmed. And he has been well linked as one of our main targets on here by the ITK's. The club then used Wilson to distance the club from him in the last 24hours, and now Tuchel himself has come out and saying the club's project doesn't interest him. Don't really understand what you are getting at? He rejected us so, "the club weren't interested", or "he hasn't rejected us".
  12. So we've again not landed our top targets? Slightly worrying that we don't look attractive enough atm.
  13. Agreed! But there is already a thread for that PoC.
  14. I think Redmond has quality and will only get better. Can't believe the number of our fans that want to slag off all aspects of the team every summer?!?! Am i literally the only one who thinks that way about redmond?
  15. Very poor decision tbh. Clearly has what it takes and will make it back to the prem barring bad injuries. Poor again with regards to the club and youth players. Gallagher to follow?
  16. First game of the season - Newcastle away. Boxing Day - West Ham Home 30th Dec - Chelsea Away Easter - Arsenal Home Last game of the season - Stoke away FA Cup 3rd round - The rat infested diseased slum (away)
  17. The DUP's fatal mistake is that they are propping up the Tory party, much to the ire and disgust of generation snowflake.
  18. Thanks Eric. Always appreciate when people share what they can.
  19. Any word? The fact that no one has said this is off means it must be about to break soonish? We can't afford to waste half the summer in limbo. The one thing I don't quite follow is how the guaranteed turnover of the club for the next 2 years is more than he is paying to buy it. Let alone the value of the clubs assets (both players and facilities). We do seem to be going cheap for a premier league club?
  20. Where is alpine, his rant is appropriate atm.
  21. Yup, Les dropped the ball big time last summer.
  22. Against this, Labour want to tax tax tax, and give gifts around quite literally like monopoly money. They have completley ignored the deficit and the growing debt. How can people vote for a party that made the above mess and saved nothing for the dark days... and now think they bribe their way into power with more overspending... But don't tell me, "its all costed"....cool, that's nice... but how about we pay off their fecking deficit for future generations first ey? Labour build a massive nanny state, base it on high taxes and create something the government can't afford. The tories come in and try to balance the books and get hung drawn and quartered for it. The rest of us get stuck in the middle of this ludicrous seesaw. Why on earth you'd vote for labour I'll never know? They sold this country down the swanny properly under blair. But maybe you like overcrowding in schools, increased hospital waiting times, pot holes, a celebrity obsessed PC society, gender neutral toilets in schools and a toxic iraq war legacy... Thats the beauty of democracy, we all get a vote I guess. And before you replay with "tory cuts" - "chicken or the egg"?
  23. Ahem... I have posted about Cairney in the transfer thread
  24. But Les hired Puel, and is in charge of transfers and recruitment?
  25. So Puel out... Or Les out?!?!
