  1. Quite 🤣
  2. What are you on about? He was in acres of space. A simple touch and turn inside would have opened up the entire goal to shoot at - 2 touches and a goal. No one is knocking Stephens, he did the best he could, but he's a cb playing at the expense of a more attacking player and that is probably a prime example of where that trade off doesn't work. Norwich are parking the bus, we don't need 5 defenders on the pitch.... How is that being turned into a "whipping boys" debate?! And as for "whipping boys" and specifically Manning - you have to be being deliberately obtuse if you're happy with how we're defending our left wing? Its completely unnecessary and leaving us wide open. Either thats on Manning (in which case i'd expect Martin to be sorting it at halftime), or its on Martin (and i hope he changes it). Manning hasn't done anything else wrong - people are just rightly concerned that we've got 5 defenders on the pitch and yet no left back every time Norwich counter! God forbid fans aren't happy about that...
  3. Yeah he does. He did a lovely little take, turn, and low cross into the box earlier. But we've got some of the best wingers / attackers in the league who can do that job - what we need is a reliable defensive LB first and foremost.
  4. Okay, let me explain. Basically every single time Norwich get the ball in the central midfield area, their player looks up (or doesn't every time thankfully). And out far on the right wing in acres of space is Stacey. Every time he is there and free. Where is manning you might ask? Marking no one and about 20yards away from him. Maybe he's been told to do that, but whatever it is, its Norwich's most likely route to getting a goal. Also, i think Stacey should have seen red for his tackle, so what i absolutely do not want is us to concede a goal to a diagonal pass out to stacey, to then assist a goal, and us lose 1-0.
  5. How was that not a yellow for Nunez? Blatant kick/trip to stop our attack?
  6. Prime example there, that chance should have fallen to a midfielder or attacker, instead it went to Stephens - Who much as i like him, can't finish as well as Alcaraz etc.
  7. Looks like he's having a problem making a call on our 3 CB's, and rather than make the tough choice (which is to drop Stephens), he's decided to chicken out and change everything to fit him in. We look okay in possession, but its definitely impacting our attacking play.
  8. Leeds winning
  9. Norwich certainly looking the more dangerous atm. Manning's complete absence of defensive positioning is going to give me a heart attack 🤣 Need to get our noses in front!
  10. Norwich almost score again. Imagine if they had wingers and strikers with a bit better product in the final 3rd 😰!!
  11. Edozie's lucky he didn't get a broken ankle tbh. Hopefully not ligament damage.
  12. Manning's defensive positioning is a real worry
  13. Spin in how you want, but that is the reality. Lucky flag just saved us there. Unless we introduce a bit more penetration, we're playing into the norwich manager's plans tbh. If they had better players up front they'd likely have score by now.
  14. Lots of possession, but no real chances. Whereas Norwich have had two dangerous breaks. I know we're on top, but need to get a couple of goals to be sure of the win.
  15. A customary, "Lets be having you!!!!" and lets go!
  16. Nice one! Saved me a tenner...
  17. So what you're saying, is that we absolutely do not want Martin to get mananger of the month? 😂
  18. Tbf to QPR, they're a tidy side under the new mananger. The game we played them at Portman road was a tough one - defensively solid, but they've got some good / dangerous players (chair / paal for example). Was a good win for us and I'd expect them to move up the table!
  19. Our games at Ipswich, Leicester, Leeds will have a huge say in it.
  20. Very good weekend for saints!
  21. Another 8min injury time at Ipswich? Seems to happen a lot! (sounds like a fan collapsed in the stands again at halftime - hopefully they're okay!)
  22. Agree. Although we showed a lot of complacency today and I hope Martin calls them out on it and we see it being stamped out. Ruthless saints is what I want to see. People moaning about baz, but our attacker's missed about 3-4 guilt edged chances as well. Plymouth should have been dead, buried, and forgotten about long before baz's error.
  23. Obviously they'll have a word, but they won't tear him down for it 🙄. It's how they want him to play and it's all about judgement and experience. "it's not acceptable" - so what, do some of you want to drop him and give him an absolute bollocking? even ederson has made howlers in recent seasons and he's one of the world's top goalkeepers and the finished product. The lad is going to make mistakes, be glad it was today.
  24. There are excuses. He's a very young keeper learning his trade and he has to make these mistakes to learn... And yes, it's a bad error, but he's already shown he's cutting them out and getting better. The whole performance was a bit weird - almost like they're getting too comfortable and believing the hype - We were very wasteful in front of goal and lacked a lot of killer instinct - the reality is we could and probably should have anywhere between 4 and 7 goals on a different day. Once the 2nd went the whole side went into 2nd gear and took their feet off the gas... Not just baz. Fraser's miss is as bad as that goal we conceded really, especially given relative experiences. I suspect Martin really wasn't very happy and let them know they need to be more professional and ruthless etc. In the dressing room. Anyway, saints have always been a side that develops young payers and tearing them down at every opportunity sn't part of that... A lot of fans forget this with baz.
  25. Not good enough. Smallbone and Adams the week links that are holding us back this game. Manning as well to a lesser extent, but not as bad as the other two. Edozie again our best outlet, alcaraz and kwp dictating a lot of play with Armstrong. But with Che and smallbone either wasting chances or killing our attacks it's just not enough atm.
