  1. lol, u make a decent point and ppl attack ur spelling n grammar. wrote it on ma fone anyhooz, u gotta move with the times dinosaurz. this is the future! and @ mattio, stopped reading where? u didn't bold any of the quote...
  2. how realistic can u really make it tho? I've never had a player accused of sexual misconduct and there seems to be a few if those every year. it's realism vs. fun. overly realistic computer games take the fun out, like in GTA iv, having to clunk n click before every trip is gay, although realistic. part of a building a computer game is maximising fun for all players. fm is one of few games that is the same for everyone, no difficulty setting etc. with online boards so many games have turned into hardcore vs casual battles for developers. this new mode allows ppl who feel like they have been shut out of fm12 because it is too long/hard, but u still get to play it the way u want, so why does it matter?
  3. can't u do fly bys on google earth? and the amazing new screen size/phone size combo is being blown up, personally i think the s3 is too big a screen, and makes the unit look too big, over 4.5 u may as well get a 7" tablet imo. just compare it to the xperia arc, which i've had for 16/17 months now, it has a 4.2 inch screen & its dimensions are 125×63×8.7 mm (actually 7mm in the middle because of the curve), so its 1.2mm taller, 4.4mm slimmer & 1.1mm thinner at the ends, but the screen is still 10mm smaller! and its as old as the white iphone 4!! lol and that telegraph article is so bias, and the video is even worse. honestly, i think this could be the moment when apple finally fall off. they have failed to even catch up with current android handsets, let alone blow them out the water. changing the connector when everyone else is using a universal charger seems ludicrous, and they only release one top of the range model, where as samsung/sony/htc release a whole range. and a more innovative doing it. for the same money i could buy an iphone5 for, i could get this... it still disappoints me they never did this with the ipod nano, but wotever the iphone 5 has its not cooler than a watch like Michael Knight's!
  4. so nothing major then? alot if these just look like app updates but all rolled into one... wots the big deal with apple maps tho? seems like all those features are at least two years old on android.
  5. wots so good about ios6?
  6. borrowed a copy off a mate and been playing the last few weeks, but considering the amount of praise this game gets I was really disappointed by it. loved iv, but this game just didn't do it for me. it feels slightly rushed, lots of silly glitches and I'm not a fan of the ur dead so game over style, especially when the rolling autosave is so random. I've got to lv 26 or thereabouts so I've played a fair share but overall it feels like a single player MMO. alot of the in game mechanics that are meant to be intelligent just feel laboured. hopefully the MMO they are making will be more fun and less niggly...
  7. it's coz Adkins wants an outfield captain, I'm sure Davis is NA's right hand man in the dressing room. Maybe he is a bigger influence day to day at the club, but stuck in goal he can't make quick decisions, shout. etc. wot does a football captain do apart from lead the team out and lead by example though?
  8. I think we need to draw a blue line under this transfer window and move on.
  9. give it to yoshida, maybe after a few games tho cork always ends up as my club captain in fm12 tho has lallana officially been announced as club captain btw? cork hasn't played yet, so who knows....
  10. very impressed with him yesterday, he really dies look something special. as well as yoshida, who looks very comfortable in the ball, loved that he had the confidence to bring it forward when there wasn't a pass on. and jay did well when he came on.
  11. I think we are underestimating one of the best club managers ever. city and utd stood off us, allowed us to play, and both ended up having to chase the game. Wenger clearly told his players to press hard from the off, and pound us into submission before we got a chance to play. if anything arsenal showed us more respect by trying to kill us off early. football's a funny game, at least we didn't concede 8...
  12. isn't it just the Solent sport feed? we are in a final today.
  13. obv that line up was just speculation, but I think ill be using that team in FIFA this year lol. swap puncheon and Ramirez round, and then swap puncheon for cork. and mayuka scores goals.
  14. line up in the telegraph today... Davis Clyne Fonte Yoshida Fox Schneiderlein Ramirez Puncheon Mayuka Lallana Lambert would love to see this team start :-)
  15. but I pay the same tax on a whopper as I do for a nut roast, no? it's fat tax I'm on about not vat and hot food tax. the smoking thing is all opinion really, depends how u read the figures
  16. imo smokers pay more tax than they cost the NHS, fat ppl will cost them more and we still don't have a fat tax. but then wouldn't it cost more to put someone through rehab, with a large risk that they could just lapse once its over, especially if they are living in the same conditions and mentality they were before. i would agree with food stamps etc on principle but in practice i don;t think it would apply, u would end up forcing ppl to spend x amount on food, and y amount on bills, and there's too many variables. it punishes those who don't abuse the system more than those who do. and ultimately everyone gets their wad of money every other week, why should u give a **** what they spend it on? wud u prefer if i spent all my money on weed or went to lock fyne and got myself a seafood platter? like i said before the problem lies with the system and the ppl who work it, its easy to blame the benefit fraudsters but it usually means a civil servant was dozing again, or could't give 2 sh*ts...
  17. considering its about £50 a week no real addict could sustain thier habit, plus u need to smoke or drink just get through the ordeal that is jsa. maybe if advisors weren't such c*nts ppl wouldn't need to turn to substance abuse, and if they actually gave a **** they could help. I have been unemployed, that coupled with singing on is possibly the most soul destroying experience I have ever gone through. I had ppl to give me a roof, feed me and support me, I can't imagine wot it's like if u have a mortgage, kids and other commitments n responsibilities. this is a backwards step imo, money is not the be all and end all if being unemployed, it's the free time that eats away at you, and the feeling of worthlessness. if u drug tested these ppl and kicked them off the dole how do u think thier lives would pan out? and for the record I have probably paid more towards the system by smoking for ten years than I took away by signing in for a year.
  18. did u do it through samsung, or a 3rd party? i've updated both mine and the missus xperias to ics and it only upgraded the OS, everything except the theme/background was left unchanged. will be interesting to see who ends up making the most out of android as it so free for developers to completely change the look and feel of it. there are already so many variations of it on so many different devices, and google are stepping in to the hardware area too. already my tv and phone run it, speculation that the ps4 will be running android too, and it probably won't be long before my boiler is controlled by it too.
  19. the first football game i ever owned was Greame Souness' International Soccer on the NES ye it was '97, that game was quality, and le tiss was awsome in it i much prefer the old fifa extras compared with todays card trading system and the emphasis on online, fifa 98 world to world cup was also wicked being able to go through the whole qualifying with the real groups, and then world cup '98 had all the WC finals set up to play, unfortunately u couldn't play '70 Brazil vs '94 Brazil.
  20. well just from my personal use I have installed it on 3 computers, on 5 separate builds, and god knows how many hours, but aside from my self, both my brother's use it, my father in law, and countless friends, so my assumptions come from 3rd hand experience too. I have even brought up this line of questioning because like I said, I struggle to understand the flak it gets, unless it's because they have been forced into paying for something they are used to getting for free. but DRM is a necessity, and I feel it does the job better than everything else I have ever used for games, maybe I've been lucky, maybe uve just been unlucky, who knows...
  21. i have used steam for two years now and never has it just stopped working, or just won't work. and for most if that time my internet has been around 1mbps, it's now up to a whopping 2mbps, and it still occasionally goes down. I also share my account with my other half, and I have no problem setting her computer to offline mode once games are installed on her machine. I havnt looked at pirated games recently but I know they were still cracking them, but much later and more unstable than anything steam provide. id rather have steam than a steam emulator in my machine, and if we have to have DRM in the game id rather it was steam than origin, or that horrible DRM launcher they had with fm08/09. I still struggle to believe that ppl actually have a problem with steam, and not just with paying for games.
  22. I think steam is a necessity these days, and I'm yet to hear a good agreement against it.... there was a stat floating around a cpl years ago that only one in five who played fm09 actually bought it, and I felt guilty enough to buy the last two. and they've had a free editor on steam for a while.
  23. some of these games sound ancient lol I could be here for days lusting stuff I've spent 10+ hours on but the tip if the iceberg is... NES: duck hunt, paper boy Sega master drive 2: sonic 1 game boy: Mario 1&2, pokemon, GTA n64: Zelda, goldeneye, perfect dark, diddy Kong racing, FIFA ps1: medal of honor, crash bandicoot, tony hawks, gt ps2:GTAs (100% on SA is one if my greatest achievements) pro evo, tony hawks, ssx, timesplitters, ratchet & clank, nfsu, gt, red faction ps3: cod, FIFA, elder scrolls, saints row, just cause 2, gt, skate pc: football/championship manager, sim city, civ, age of empires, command & conquer, rollercoaster tycoon, Sims, black & white, warcraft, starcraft, railroad tycoon, total war and so many more...
  24. Americans are stupid, those are hoops.
  25. amazed at how many ppl have just dismissed this completely, personally i find their project a good outside view of football, and the best use of endless opta stats I've come across. I just wonder if it's because u hate numbers, or u disagree with the standings..? and i don't think castrol have an ulterior motive, or an affinity to a club or player, and it's all done on a level playing surface, so imo the source is less bias than any human could be. if u havn't already watched them, there are some videos breaking down ronaldos athleticism compared to other sports using science , like i said with the rankings, its a real eye opener and nice to see something new rather than the same drivel we get on SS and MOTD every week. http://castroledge.com/football/ronaldo-tested-to-the-limit/
