  1. Well he's hardly going to claim that his mate is a bit crap, is he?
  2. 66/1 with Bet365. Got to be worth a tenner.
  3. If those odds really are a reflection of the expectations within (half empty) Fratton it won't take long for the booing to pick up from where it ended last season when they don't get off to a flying start. Shame.
  4. To be fair, we heard the same when Lampitt was 'parachuted in' to keep an eye on their finances so some scepticism is perfectly understandable this time too.
  5. Jesus Christ. Who cares?
  6. Is Neil trying to make out that that's good? LOL
  7. Pompey Bez.
  8. Very true. Whether some people like it or not, anything that encourages positive perceptions of the club can only help in the long run. I'd rather we had the reputation as a decent, friendly club rather than, say, that of Milwall - regardless of whether the reputation is deserved. I doubt many fans give a toss about this award but other people just might...
  9. If you can get them out of League Two you will forever be a part of history. Such lofty ambition #smalltime
  10. Phil Jones, by the looks of things...
  11. Good news for trainee physios in Portsmouth.
  12. Is your mate some sort of div? Why does he need a sign above the oven to remind him to cook and sign above the bath to remind him to bath? Or did he put them up for the benefit of Morgan, who is still struggling with English?
  13. Hate to say it Pugwash, but I get the feeling Andrew is telling you a porky. If you can get past the headline without dying of laughter: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/p/portsmouth/8453406.stm
  14. Flies in the face of pretty much every other piece of information.
  15. Prem and Champ. Clubs promoted out of L1 get special dispensation to keep any terracing for 2 yrs, which can then be extended if they can prove that plans to move to seating are in place and sufficiently advanced, hence Posh still having terracing and Cardiff keeping their terracing for so long before moving away from Ninian Park.
  16. I'm not going to get a hard-on about the number of twitter followers we have, but do they really only have 29000? For such a massive club I'm amazed that figure is so low. I'd have thought that more of the 250,000 fans from Southsea Common would be on Twitter.
  17. But as has already been pointed out to you, the difference is that DW has spunked his own self made fortune into Wigan whereas Pompey were almost entirely built on borrowed money, much of which they have not, nor will they ever, repay.
  18. Yes, they're the only circumstances in which anyone settles out of court, aren't they? It's almost like ADR doesn't exist.
  19. Want to bet for a name change?
  20. You've been given the right answer already. Ticks all the boxes. Safe, plenty of pubs and restaurants, no pikies, the riverside and the brilliant Richmond Park on your doorstep for running, easy access to the M3 and if you're close to the Waterloo rail line you have quick access to the Soton/Bmouth train via CJ. Best place to live in London by an absolute mile.
  21. It's worse than that - we're not even having shirts next season and will play every game in skins. FACT.
  22. Can the Thread Board of Directors please revisit this policy? It was only yesterday I was forced to take a dump in the corner of lift #1.
  23. Except we can all see that unless they get a pretty hefty windfall in the next 4 years they're not going to be able to meet their obligations even if they don't run up any more debts in the meantime. They might be cash-rich at the moment, but they're projected to burn through that pile pretty quickly paying back Robinson and the Council - and then they'll be expected to pay the football creditors. Well, what with?
  24. Now that'll be a future set of lolz - when they're really struggling for cash and someone offers new investment - but not enough to repay all the fan pledges once new debts and the "presidents" are paid off. 1500 fans see their £1000 "shares" turned into £200. Of course, if there was any justice, they'd get just £4 back.* *are my maths right?
