Breaking news sky sports - Pochettino will leave if NC quits
UpweySaint replied to Made in Southampton's topic in The Saints
Oh honestly, none of us, including you, actually know whats going on between Cortese and the Liebherr trust. Im not suggesting head in the sand and that we should ignore it but any chance for you to predict doom and misery just so on the off chance you'r right you can be a smug tw*t about it. Honestly do bore off ... -
Value is subjective. He is that important to us then his value is simply the price at which we'l sell. Personally I wouldn't sell for a jot under twenty unless morgan really wanted to leave.
-
Fair play, no harm being a pessimist so long as you can be objective. I'd like to think we could push into the top half and I'd love a run in the fa cup but anywhere above fifteenth i'd be ok with myself though I imagine NC may well feel otherwise ...
-
Ok the all conquering talk may be a bit much but do you not fancy at least a mid table consolidation season next term? Bookies have us at a 10-1 shout to finish in the top six and 7-1 to go down ... looks like even they fancy us for upper mid table
-
Ok you've admitted your wrong, fair play. Nobody quite knows with all the behind the scenes talk but, on the assumption Cortese stays and the status quo remains, fancy making an honest prediction for next year? Dont want to be too cocky but none of the sides coming up, including either of the play off hopefuls, worry me too much and I firmly expect hull, play off winner and one other to go down. A spot I dont think will go to saints

He has shown the ability to get forward and run with the ball but I think he just needs a bit more confidence in doing so. Also between him and Morgan, with our full backs pushing up high, one of them is always likely to sit deeper and with Morgan being a more powerful runner and cork arguably having a little more ease of distribution it just makes sense he'd be the one to sit. Hopefully he can get a goal nice and early next season and grow in confidence so that when he does have a chance to push forward he takes it. Has good control of the ball at his feet and, even without being the fastest, could well run at men with the ball at feet.

I can only remember them singing champions of europe and chelllsea chellllllsea ... two great songs, one of which they wont even be able to sing next year.

Good Luck To Hammond, Bridge & Philips Tonight!!!

Might be a good call, his post match was certainly non commital at best! -
I believe it is ... This is how it feels to be City, This is how it feels to be small, This is how it feels when your team wins nothing at all ...
-
I think the point comes in the second line. Besides when was the last time anybody actually marched anywhere on a football pitch ..? Crikey some people take themselves far too seriously
-
Well where its been blagged from the mancs im not sure we can be too critical of the words, at least we've came up with two of our own lines as opposed to other clubs just chucking their name into owts. Either way, makes sense or not, I like it and im glad we've got a chant for MP.

Whoever you want to come up this means one thing at least, Adkins has a chance to beat that smug sod Poyet again next season, come on reading! -
Any hints more hints on the kit or do you have good reason to keep hush? No worries if you cant say anymore pal
-
Transformer. Lots of cardboard and some blue peter style diy you'l be sorted.
-
Actually that's a bit of a myth, QI said so
-
All this hype, could be very simple. Cortese wants more money as he's now running a premiership side, trustees have yet to agree, simple negotiating. Of course there be more to it but we honestly dont know
-
Signed, best of luck, always have a soft spot for you guys. Showed real class last season and it so easily could've been us!
-
Ok "best team" but is it possible that young players with points to prove may play better then players who are tired after a long season and have secured safety? Understand players are pro's but psychological aspects can play a part so, in theory at least, the team most likely to beat stoke on the day (the best) may not be the most technically gifted proven ones
-
Cork can really do a job but, tactially, it'd be nice to have other options in the cm position. Can see the point but i'd suggest cork's dip in form has run alongside a general slight downturn in our form with the sequence of draws and defeats. Has been a cracking player this year hopefully, next year, without having such a big injury at the start of the season he'l kick on in top form.
-
JWP is worth a start and it'd be nice to see a couple from the academy on the bench instead of the likes of de ridder.
-
I think others have made the points. He's tired, defences know our game a little better and he's being asked to do a lot for the team. Would not write him off anytime soon but will be interesting to see how we use him next year, no question he can fit into the way MP plays but not sure he can close down for ninety mins week in week out , hopefully we'l have options next year
-
Maybe a loan spell, if he could show something for a championship team next year he's young enough for that to be considered a good sign rather then having "found his level".
-
Oh if I had a choice i'd love to see Sunderland go down after how smug Di Canio is! Wigan I can take or leave just hate all the "its a miracle" cries every season and the ott praise of martinez (he's good for sure but some of the motd lot go rather overboard!). Have a few villa supporting friends and I like the club. Bringing through young english players, playing positive brave football (unlike one up top sunderland!) and Lambert comes across like a top bloke.
-
Never get bored do you Not fancy any of the three to come good next season?
