Slightly off topic but didnt fancy starting a whole new thread for it, Poch 50-1 to take over at madrid while perhaps more surprisingly Adkins only 80-1 to take over at Arsenal!
-
It has been done before, clearly. However no harm discussing it again though with a stuttering few weeks, if people dont want to partake i'd imagine they can just ignore it. Its exam season for me so any excuse not to revise i'l take!

I think, hope, Davies may finally have a chance to prove himself in the prem next term with all the nonsense going on at birmingham. You may be right that he may have found his level but i'd sure like to find out!

Fancy Utd to have Baines should Moyes take over...

Anywhere from 12th and up without having to look over our shoulders at relegation and a nice cup run seems realistic and i'd be happy enough with. Anything above would be just gravy! Dont know about others but, as much as new faces would be nice/neccessary I would also like to see a bit more progression of players from the dev squad if possible. Would rather have the likes of seagers and gape on the bench instead of de ridder. The likes of JWP and Shaw have both had good seasons and can hopefully kick on, hopefully we can manage shaw to avoid him burning out, for all his quality it'd be nice if he didnt have to play a forty game season at such a tender age.

Different opinion on NA and dont fancy a long debate on it but McDermott's signing at reading when they came up hardly set the world alight. That and Adkins didnt spend £30mil, the tranfer comittee did For all we know Adkins had to get on wikipedia when Mayuka turned up ...
-
Did ok at Burnley. Be interesting to see how he gets on next season with bmouth in the championship.
-
Do like Eddie Howe, done good things at bournemouth.
-
We also got Jack Cork, Boruc, Lambert, Fonte ... over the last few years our transfer committie has given us the tools to acheive two promotions and a premiership squad better then at least three or four of the lot below us. I'd say, success. Forren may come good, have some patience, wasn't exactly mega money. Mayuka again plenty outside in the football world fancy his potential, I doubt we'l take a massive financial hit should he not come good. Ramirez could go either way, too soon to say. If he doesnt have a better season next time around fine, call him a flop, fair?
-
If it comes down to the last day of the season to guarentee safety it'l be likely. They wont show us on final score otherwise

Trotter was always meant to be a done deal. I Liked him, not sure how he would have progressed with us but would have been an interesting player to have. Not sure he'l still be on the radar next year but would not be surprised to see him in the prem next season with somebody. "Regret factor" 5/10. Not worht crying over but could'v been a decent player this year.

Crikey! Bit dramatic. I'd say, on the whole, our transfer policy has been a relative success. It's not perfect but who the hecks is? Even Barrys "football men" types get it wrong. Just look at Fergie and Wenger, both respected football men yet both have occassionally brought players who simply havent done it.

We bid, it was leaked to the media. That, although iffy, is different. Im not making moral judgements just curious if they are actually going against the rules here ...
-
When was it ever 3-4 games? Which foreign player was that said about? It's kind of an established precedent that many players dont show their best form until their second season in the prem ... should that be Gaston or not is a whole different discussion.
-
Now I admit to being naive on this but isnt this whats's called "tapping up"? Talking to a contracted player without his clubs permission, which often leads to players handing in transfer requests/going on strikes etc to force moves, is surely against the rules and I cant imagine NC would stand for it ... Either im wrong or perhaps, just for speculations sake, he does have permission to speak to clubs in Italy ..
-
Talk about Joe's ice cream and mumbles, they're proud folk in south wales
-
We Dorset folk know all about him, not a chance
-
Yhep lets. Either that or he was advocating a tactic with no left back, three at the back, sorted. To be honest we could have twelve and you'd still be telling us all how hopeless it all was ...
-
Could yes but equally things could all go pete tong and we could find ourselves at the edge of a cliff during the stoke game. Now dont get me wrong I still fancy us to stay up and our fate is v much in our hands but the nerves aint half there, I understand you'r more optimistic/realistic then some but even you must be feeling the nerves ahead of the next couple of weeks?
-
This but I hope to christ for a win or the Stoke game will be far too tense to enjoy, would hate to have to spend the day begging for a villa win etc ...
-
So Danny Graham is their focus for goals then? Im nervous but would be more so in there shoes as it stands. That and a draw suits us slightly more then them.
-
Come on im sure they understand the situation but its standard practise to have a list of transfer targets prior to the end of the season. With the continuous nature of scouting tends to always be a variety on lists depending on circumstances ... If we got to the summer and had done no background work and we had to start looking at players in june plenty would be furious.
-
At what point in the ninety did he keep falling over? Any actual examples?
-
Ive been critical, not sure he'l be around much longer, but did well and showed he can do a job
-
Beacon of light? Delusional attention seeker seems more apt but nice to know you are not short of self confidence ...
