  1. Now I admit to being naive on this but isnt this whats's called "tapping up"? Talking to a contracted player without his clubs permission, which often leads to players handing in transfer requests/going on strikes etc to force moves, is surely against the rules and I cant imagine NC would stand for it ... Either im wrong or perhaps, just for speculations sake, he does have permission to speak to clubs in Italy ..
  2. Talk about Joe's ice cream and mumbles, they're proud folk in south wales
  3. We Dorset folk know all about him, not a chance
  4. Yhep lets. Either that or he was advocating a tactic with no left back, three at the back, sorted. To be honest we could have twelve and you'd still be telling us all how hopeless it all was ...
  5. Could yes but equally things could all go pete tong and we could find ourselves at the edge of a cliff during the stoke game. Now dont get me wrong I still fancy us to stay up and our fate is v much in our hands but the nerves aint half there, I understand you'r more optimistic/realistic then some but even you must be feeling the nerves ahead of the next couple of weeks?
  6. This but I hope to christ for a win or the Stoke game will be far too tense to enjoy, would hate to have to spend the day begging for a villa win etc ...
  7. So Danny Graham is their focus for goals then? Im nervous but would be more so in there shoes as it stands. That and a draw suits us slightly more then them.
  8. Come on im sure they understand the situation but its standard practise to have a list of transfer targets prior to the end of the season. With the continuous nature of scouting tends to always be a variety on lists depending on circumstances ... If we got to the summer and had done no background work and we had to start looking at players in june plenty would be furious.

Ive been critical, not sure he'l be around much longer, but did well and showed he can do a job
  11. Beacon of light? Delusional attention seeker seems more apt but nice to know you are not short of self confidence ...
  12. Walker is still a quality player but really impressed with Clyne. Needs more time at this level to prove himself to those beyond soton though most likely.
  13. Oh not you. Wrong end of the stick, I meant the usual forum doom mongers who've predicted our demise for the last three years week in week out
  14. I was among them but im just saying there's no point me banging that drum. It's happened. Unless we suddenly get offered the chance of being a fans trust without having to pay a penny to buy the club Cortese runs the show and his decisions are his decisions. Either way I hope Poch takes three points from our sunderland trip and gets the chance to start thinking about next season, honestly not among the few on here who take glee in us failing, mentioning no names ...
  15. Crikey you wont last long around here, I dont think anybody said anything too harsh in comparison with what the forum usually descends into Seriously thanks for posting. As for the turning up, as a student with a part time job football is an expensive hobby but i've made about one in five this season and failed to get tickets for a couple of the away games due to the lovely points system which is about as effective as Ramirez's set peice delivery. Cant speak for other forum regulars though
  16. That was after your comment he was referring too. Lets not be misleading folks Either way I still stick with my opinion i'd be more comfortable with NA in the situation we're in, I didn't say a word about the quality of the football or committment against spurs. My point was, just so we're clear, two games we need a couple of big performances the decisions timing is looking more and more risky. Hindsight being twenty twenty and all that
  17. Fair play. Nice to have something, albeit slightly nicked, new to sing and good that Poch finally has a proper song. Still grates that every other team in the league sings oh when the "quiet day trippers" go marching in.
  18. Dont know, could suggest come as your favourite historical fascist
  19. Nope you'r right I didnt go, couldn't get a ticket in our end and didn't much want to sit in the home end with my spurs supporting friends, though I did watch the entirety of the game, thanks. I think we showed plenty today, agreed, but feel we should have had more from a few of our recent games with last week being abysmal. My opnion remains that i'd prefer to have Adkins giving the teamtalks. It's his team and he's proven he had it in him to get the lads going for important games. Pochettino may well become world class but the risk is, albeit a slim one for sure, we lose out before he gets a chance to make his mark.
  20. Errr we're a newly promoted side, what did you expect?!? Besides Swansea, Norwich and Spurs today we were v unlucky not to come away with more than we got dont you think? I know points make prizes but we've shown enough this season to think we'l take a point from either sunderland or stoke, or do you diasgree?
  21. House on fire. Sitting on the maginot line. Everyones asleep. Or we had a bad day at the office against wba and were unlucky today and are only one win from safety ... worry, of course, but jesus some people ...!
  22. Bit of context on this one. Pochettino was asked about quotes for us challenging for european places in the future, say three years i think, he said no reason not to aim there next season. No harm in that being our aim. Wouldn't be happy with him saying "17th" next year, that's the aim." even if he thinks it. Provided we stay up anywhere around mid table and not having such a end of season panic would be considered progress really but top half of the table, not too unrealistic ..
  23. Football easier on the eye, sure. Long term does he look the man to take us forward, perhaps. No harm though in speculating Adkins may have had us a little more up for the fight. Im not going off on a deluded rant but I just would have been more comfortable going into our last two games knowing it was Adkins giving the team talks.
  24. Would we have begged for it after Chelsea? Ok im playing devils advocate here becuase its all whats ifs, we genuinely dont know IF Adkins would have done better. But I think its fair the decision isnt looking like a master stroke in the short term at least.
  25. He has missed the odd chance and im still not sure how much longer i'd like to see him on the team sheet but, for the rest of this season at least, he certainly can still do a job and surely has a point to prove
