The inability to win against sides in the top half is a continuing problem. As is letting leads go. Lets just focus on the cups.
-
Ummm. YES.
-
I don't think it sold out when we played at SMS last time because of stupid ticketing policies.
-
.. unless the ticketing policy is sensible. Everyone is taking about the 5th round draw and is rightly excited about it. I've had people phone me up who haven't been to SMS in a couple of seasons wanting a ticket. But for every one of these Johnny-Come-Lately's, there are people who are thinking that their usual Pub is likely to be closed, and all the hassle created by a very heavy police presents, the likelihood of an early kick off, all coupled with it being live on TV, why bother! I would urge David Luker and his bosses to price this game at a reasonable level, £16 say, and don't mess about with priority booking too much. Just give Season ticket holders a week to get their own tickets, and then just open the door to anyone with a proven buying record on the database. I'm told that amongst the blue few people are wondering whether to bother of not for all the same reasons, plus they are on a hiding to nothing. Win and everyone will say so they should and loose and never live it down.

Yeah, but I'm worried that "Pay up Pompey" just sounds like "Play up" on the TV and on the pitch. Better to keep to the "Pomeys going down with **** all in the bank" (to the tune Yellow Submarine).
-
Beating Portsmyth for me. All the rest can be done next season, but 5th round derbys are as rare as rocking horse ****.
-
There's no need to mess about. Season ticket holders have priority for there own seat, then anyone with a purchasing history. Simples.
-
Bloody brilliant. This is what it's all about.

Great fun singing that yesterday, back to the 70s almost but without being garotted by a crowd barrier. I tried to continue to old time theme by singing the Woolston Ferry song, but my timing was out.

OK I'll do it. How many sold for Ipswich

I picked up tickets this morning and the box office was doing steady business. I'm thinking 19K -
The man has no class, and that gesture proved it. The pity is that everyone who has bought a season ticket to sit near the bench/tunnel had to sign an agreement not to make any noise beyond polite applause, so i doubt whether RK will be too troubled.
-
Oh get over yourself, you big girls blouse. Weren't you ever young, ****ed or both?
-
But are we? Match day ticket prices have gone up with the reason that this would 'ease conjestion prior to kick off'. Maybe, but wouldn't longer box office hours, say from 8am to 7pm be a better move? And what about the NCs attempts at 'social cleansing' of block 4, never mind people who've paid out for season tickets there. And the banning of the Echo, still the main source for Saints info for most fans particularly the more senior! I'd delighted with Marcus L, but Cortesse I think is a tosser. Still mustn't grumble he's better than the last Chairmen/CEO.
-
I've been hearing the same from various sources. Apparently he doesn't run a happy ship.
-
Got to agree with you Glasgow. I didn't think much of Mellis, and doubt whether he will be troubling too many Premiership opponents in the future.
-
Romsey Town are short in midfield, but i don't think he would make the grade.
-
I thought Leeds looked like a Premiership side. I didn't go to Leeds the other week, but going down just 1-0 doesn't look too bad. i shall look forward to seing us beat them at Wembley in the JPT
-
I regularly went to Luton in the 80's, up until they banned away fans, and never had any bother there at all.
-
Great draw, tough but winnable. And with the added spice of that mouthy bastard Keane. I can't wait.
-
Not Saints related, should be moved.

Lens call for potless Pompey to be shut down

If Portsmyth do go into Administration you could see the start of the wheels of the premier league bandwagon begin to fall off. IF the players aren't paid there contracts become null and void and they walk away. But Portsmyth would still owe lots of clubs for those players. Watford are close to admin themselves but are owed a few million by PFC, if they go into admin can they be docked 10 points as they could argue it wasn't their fault. There could be a knock on effect that rumbles all through football. I can't wait. -
I agree with you in part. The best thing Lowe did was screw up his own plans for Stoneham. All those 'plans' for expanding over the Archers, under the Milton etc etc etc were never actually costed and submitted plans, and happened before Lowe arrived. He alone decided we needed to move to Stoneham (a really crap idea in the first place) and then screwed that plan up by adding extra retail facilities etc. Thankfully SSC had a back up plan. God bless the Labour controlled council of the time.
