You youngsters have me beat every time.
-
Be very carfull if you're in block 4-5. Only the fit and very beautiful are welcome in Marcus's stand.
-
This whole episode has been a bit farcical with the club now doing a partial U-turn ( but why not just let any home fan buy a ticket to whichever home area they like just as 99.9% of other clubs do?) Questions have to be asked of the new regime for coming out with such a dumb plan in the first place. The plan was based on a very crude form of social engineering and very possibly illegal when push comes to shove. The German owner needs to get himself some better advice.
-
Exactly. This policy is so shot through with holes it's beyond reason. A mate of mine who can't get to every game gets tickets when he can and sits with us. He could have gone Saturday but didn't bother because he didn't fancy sitting by himself in Block 9. Thats the club down £25. How many more times is that going to be repeated this season. I'm not moving to sit in the Northam/Kingsland corner. I picked my seat at the start of the season because thats where I want to sit. And I expect the same rights and previllages as any other Season ticket holder in other parts of the ground. Anything less is mis-selling by the club.
-
It's not 'one end' though its a corner, that was closed originaly because no bugger wanted to sit there. And it is just being dressed up as getting the vocal support together. What it's really about is getting the great unwashed awaty from the corporates, after taking their money.
-
??? Sorry i must have missed a meeting. Godwins? Is that to do with Social engineeing?
-
The good people of Southampton that sit in blocks 4 and 5 and who bought season tickets to do so are now being 'encouraged' to move to the furthest possible corner from the corporates as possible. Our money is good enough, but nothing else. Two months after the new German/Italian regime has taken control and social cleansing has begun. All very sinister.
-
Bloody silly idea i think and yet another attempt to 'cleanse' the Itchen for the corporates. The corners were closed to save money because nobody wants to sit there when there is anywhere else to go. To open them up now and claim it's to create a better atmosphere is nonsense. I don't anticipate a stampede of fans from block 4/5 moving to the corner. But like other posters have said I resent not being able to buy extra tickets for mates to sit with me. A fact that is already costing the club money.

OS - Northam for more saints fans/moving seats update

I agree. How ever they dress it up it's all about trying to create a more genteel atmosphere for the corporates. Who the **** wants to sit in the corner? -
A good turn out, but apart from the occasional song about a bird called Eileen (?) not much else.
-
I have you muppet and await a response. But thanks for the advice "Ribbo" (your real name or are you faceless?)
-
Or maybe Luker could have had the decency to contact/ consult us.
-
Try reading the thread. It's not about anyone calling for his removal now, it's asking people after long they would give him on current form (1 win in 10) before they would call for his removal. If it were down to me I wouldn't sack him now, or after a defeat on Saturday or another defeat after that, but a record of say 1 win in 15 is sack time. My guess is all those supporting AP, myself included, would have said 1 win in 10 is unacceptable at the start of the season.
-
He didn't have a particularly good game, but I'll give him the benifit of the doubt. However, i didn't enjoy reading about how he wouldn't celebrate if he scored out of respect!!! Message to Lambert: You play for Southampton now, if you score, cream yourself.

Apparently the Itchen North is now Season ticket only. No consultation from the club, just a dictate handed down by Luker. After everything that our club has gone through, and how much we were encouraged to shell out for season tickets, again the fans are being treated as second class citizens. I bought a season ticket in the Itchen North and expected to be able to buy extra tickets to be able to sit with mates who can't go regularly. But some faceless, pointless, middle management apparatchiks has decided that has to change; just as on the opening day of the season people who had shelled out £300 + on a season ticket in the back four rows of Block 4 turned up to find they have been moved, again no consideration for the working man who paid pay their wages. When we're back in the Premiership and sell out 32K every week the pen pushers can take liberties until then a bit more respect would be good. But what is behind Lukers latest attempt to kill atmosphere at SMS? Maybe he could come on here and explain it as he hasn't bothered to explain it to the paying 'customer'.
-
This, if true, is ****in outrageous. I've got a season ticket in the Itchen North and from time to time want to buy extra tickets for mates. More attempts by Luker to take every opportunity to kill atmosphere.
-
Ferguson is the name you're looking for. And for every Ferguson there is a hundred Branfoots. And nobody expects to win every game but maybe more than one in ten. Or is that asking too much.
-
Can anyone see Cortese putting up with this much longer ?

Statistically if we continue as we are we will be in league 2 next season -
One win in 10. Great performance? Not as good as BRFC. Continue this form and we're in League 2 next season. But I'm glad you enjoyed the game.
-
1/4 of the season gone, 1 win. Continue this form and we will be consolidating in Division 2 next season. Just playing devils advocate. So how long do we give AP?
-
So how long? It's a simple question.
-
You're not serious? Passion? From Papa, Saganowski, Lambert, Schnederlin?
-
We did play well at times, and then lacked the abiltiy/ motivation/ leadership to press home any advantage when we had it. Nearly a 1/4 of the season gone and one win.
-
But you're not playing the game. Stick with him for how long?
-
Least of our worries.
