Perhaps the guy they want is employed at another club and the negotiations will take a bit of time.
-
That would be the same Seymour Pierce employed on a retainer by Lowe to find 'new investment' for Saints for a number of years, and came up with the total sum of **** all.
-
With all due respect Alain Perrin what sort of debate can you have on a subject if you're not suppose to point out the blindingly obvious? Tony Adams has only failed as a manager, be it in the lower leagues or the premiership. Fact. Now i don't believe Saints are seriously considering him because i don't believe the new management are that stupid. I'm sorry if that doesn't fit in with your post requirements.

Port of Southampton are keen to expand Container port capacity by developing Dibden Bay area of Southampton Water (next to Hythe, opposite side of water from Southampton. Local nimbys put paid to this exciting development once before, but the Port are reportedly considering submitting a new planning application. Liebherr have already supplied some of the biggest cranes in the world to the existing container port and would i'm sure be keen to supply more to Dibden Bay.
-
As long as it's not Tony Adams, Glen Hoddle, Sir CLive Woodward or anyone previously associated with Portsmyth I'll be happy.
-
It's another positive story about Marcus Liebherr that he has spoken to Matt.
-
At least 19C is entertaining when he sprouts his ******. What is the point of GM?
-
According to the Echo the short list drawn up contains no big personalities and concentrates on experienced managers with a track record on the lower leagues. That rules out Tony Adams (thank ****) WGS (alas) and Keegan (alas). It also possible rules out some of the younger up and coming managers like Tisdale. It leaves people like Curbishly perhaps?
-
skate idiot:lol:
-
Absolutley. And how could anyone appoint Hoddle? Answer: Both are idiots and shouldn't be anywhere near SMS.
-
No Tony Adams, and no Hoddle. ] Anyone else within reason fine. Surely there isn't anyone stupid enough to even consider Adams or Hoddle ?
-
+1. Hoddle was a great player, but his achievements as a manager are at best so so. And his poor man managment skills are legend. No thanks. If we can't have WGS or KK or Copple I would rather a younger up and coming manager.
-
WGS, or KK . Not Hoddle. Please.
-
How 'lucky' have you got ?
-
Leon Crouch unlike any other Director put his money where is mouth was. He will always find a warm welcome at SMS unlike Lowe, Askham, Wilde, etc etc who I doubt will want to show their ugly faces down Brittania Road. Good luck to you Leon.
-
They are in free fall. We'll have one season together 10/11 and then we'll be back in the top flight and they will return to obscurity. I don't regret are relative positions over the last few years as it has put an end to their "we're a sleeping giant" myth. All myth Portsmyth.

Did AO follow Lee Hoos to LCFC of the other way around?
-
We'll shake on that.:goodman:
-
Jog on pal.:smt039

No it didn't. It started in 2003 when Lowe failed to back WGS. Or if you like back in 97 when Lowe arrived. Hoddle was massively over rated. Fact.
-
He was born in Germany, but is a now a Swiss national and has been most of his life.
-
Well thats MLs first mistake. I hope there won't be too many more. Oldknow is a **** and the last thing the the much tested staff at SMS need.
-
Morally my rs. This is sport and that nessacary evil business. You play by the rules not morals and the rules said the club had to go into admin and we didn't. Simples. If you want to talk fairness instead of morals, what is fair about Stockports penalty for the same crime?
-
Everybody accepts now that Lowe was solely responible for our demise. So yes we can all unite now.
-
The club was privatley owned, all be it with several shareholders up until Rupes road into town with the reverse takeover making it a public company. The only difference between now and pre 1997 (?) is there is one owner now compared to several back then.
