+1 The greatest pity about the Pinnacle bid going tits up is we miss out on having a genuine football man and a genuine Saints hero in the boardroom. I'm sure he would have been backed up with an experienced CEO to do the admin.

One day the name Docker-P will be spoken of in hushed tones.

Not another City! Manchester, Lincoln, Norwich, Bristol, Birmingham, Coventry etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc. Southampton 1885. It's unique, original, and provides a link to our heritage.
-
If you so desire. You hear Ivan Golac has been kicking off down the pub recently?
-
Continuity.
-
....or re-form as Southampton 1885 in the blue square league.

It's a fair question Mole has posed. Occasionally GM's posts make sense but are rarely agreeable. And most of the time he comes across as a right tossser
-
No reason to scummers. After they started using it some little skate tw*t invented some bull about it standing for something. It doesn't. But claiming it did is why we call them Portsmyth.

One reason why I can't see us going out of business.

I have said before that loon Michael Jackson claiming to be able to make a bid is not doing Saints any favours. -
+1. Hey-ho, we all live and learn.

Does anyone remember that schoolboy who tried to buy Aldershot? -
But is the Blue Square league his level? 'cause that's where we're going.
-
The biggest chump in all this is Fry. Either he didn't appreciate the FL's stance over points and possible extra points deductions when selling the club, or he didn't check Pinnacles backers closely enough. Rest assured he'll be paid though!

Feyenoord. Pre-season game 6 yeas ago (ish). Stayed in Amsterdam for a very, very, messy weekend.
-
If the worse happens I suggest £1000 per share from all who can, and we start again as Southampton 1885. Red and white stripes is a given.

+1 Nothing to do with Saints. -
"If any other Group(s)/Individuals claim not to be interested in the clauses contained within our contract, this would to my mind raise questions as to why they would not be prepared to stand up for what is best for the Club. Knowing what we know, factually and legally, certain aspects of the agreement need alteration, without which it is our firm belief that you would be exposing the Club to risk. And with this in mind, we are working closely with the League and we will resolve the issues as quickly as possible, thus resulting in the best position for the Club". Makes perfect sense to me. Too many on here have been crying out to except the penalty and get the deal done, but there is clearly reprocussions in doing that. Pinnacle are showing themselves to be thougher, and professional and I would rather they take another fortnight and get whats best for Saints than land ourselves in more poo by just signing our lifes away. I also think talk of alternative investors is just Fry trying to keep the pressure on to get a deal done. If he sells to another consortium at this stage Pinnacle are going to be suing his ass for their money back including legal fees.

There should be a health warning about Jackson. All these poor Middle Eastern Businessman, reps, administrators, journalist etc etc, meeting him in good faith, only to realise afterwards they have wasted a few hours of there life on a fantasist.

I never knew we had such a bunch of lilly-livered surrender monkeys as fans! By the letter of the law we have been cheated, and are being asked to give up our right to appeal be an organisation not fit for purpose. An organsiation behaving in the best traditions of a south american banana republic, changing the rules to suit them. The more Pinnacle push the League and their old school tie brigade the better i like them.
-
LOL. Very good. But who was the ginger tranny?
-
I like it. Shows imagination. Better than all those surrender monkeys on here saying we should just take the -10.
-
I think Pinnacle should stick to their guns. Maybe we should have -10 points, maybe not. But to withdraw the right to appeal is an acknowledgement that they know they are wrong and the sort of stunt pulled by tinpot South American dictators.

Their gene pool is way too small, and they regularly fail to sell out that toilet they call a football ground. -
You have to read between the lines of the Football league statement. There was no " the fine stands, take it or **** off" or anything close to that as you might have imagined. Fair play to TL and Pinnacle, i think we've probably got them over a barrel and they know it.
