Planning failed because Rupert went back after outline planning permission had been granted anf tried to include Cinemas and shopping centre and other non football businesses

If you consider how many homes games we won, how generally **** we were, and how much people hated Lowe etc, and how much we had to pay for a ticket compared to others (NCFC £13 adult) ; our attendances this season were bloody amazing.

Tony Saltz Gavin Davies Graeme Souness Kevin Keegan Rupert Lowe Rod Stewart Paul Allen Philip Green The Heineken bird Derry Marc Jackson David Frost Alan Shearer Richard Branson Any more? Take your pick.

Sounds a perfectly reasonable offer. Well done Leon.

Not post info you can't or won't expand on?

Congratulations on 1000 posts. I'm sure 99% of them were bo***cks, but aren't all posts!

Your 'days' are back again !

It's been said a hundred times already, but it's worth repeating. Mark Fry will get the best deal possible for Barclays and Norwich Union. Thats his job, not the best deal for SFC going forward.

I buy the Echo just to read McMenemy's column. It makes a welcome change to read hear the views proper football man.

I did exactly the same thing in the same place after our last game in the Premiership v MUFC. As I dragged myself upright as quick as possible I over heard a little old lady say to her friend ..."oohh, i bet that hurt".

£13 a ticket at Carrow Road as opposed to £23 at SMS

Stupid post

Good point well made.

Totally agree. We're punished for our 'crime' Stockport aren't. No wonder The League don't look after the top flight of football. They are inept.

Gillet. DMG? LMAO

No offence washsaint but that is nonsense. Lowe was 'part of the reason????? Part??? FFS Ok my estimate of 'part' runs like... Lowe 85% Askham 9% Wilde 5% Crouch 1% Hone, Hoos, Too small to measure. Any one idividual running a plc for 11 or the last 12 years and takes it from a £50m turnover to bust, including being there at the end, not to mention taking us down twice, is a little more than 'part' or the reason for our decline. Accept it, the bloke was a bloody disaster for Saints and as long as denyers like you keep trying to spread the blame, the longer it will be until we can draw a line under this sorry episode and move on.

Good enough for me.

Weren't bolton or blackburn in for him?
-
A mate of mine who went to Watford said the same thing, although I told him to leave off the source before games in future. And i do think he has looked more useful when dropped back a bit. But for me he doen't have the flair to be a natural goal scorer or the attitude to be a useful forward. His ability to go completely awol at times is staggering

Just goes to show, it's a funny old game. DMG can't leave SFC quick enough for me. Over rated, talentless, unfit, lazy, waste of space. Good goal against Palace though.
-
Totally agree. Whatever the story was behind him going to Sunderland, he does deserve recognition for the Cup win, and establishing us as a top flight club that went on for 27 years.

Euell etc are all too old to excite any buyers really, and the above mentioned youngsters I believe have not performed as well as they might have done this season. Maybe with different management they could have performed better, and other clubs probably realise that.
