  1. It's the biggest 'no brainer' since King Canute gave up on wave control. Of course KK would be good for us in League 1. It would heighten our profile hugely, increase attendance, and help sell more corporate boxes etc. KK has been found wanting tactically at times at the very highest levels, but the lower down the leagues you go the less its about tactics and the more it's about motivation. And KK is very good at that.
  2. I'm hearing Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich.
  3. You should serve a Sancerre with fois grois not a red wine.
  4. The OS site looks pants. Have you ever seen more advertising? Sort it out Matt.
  5. Well, can one of those dozen tell us if he, or indeed she, has a yacht?
  6. Sounds like very good idea. Well done Hamster. Who the **** wants to sit inside during the summer watching England get beat at cricket?
  7. Time to start the Saints in conventional Kit (SICK) campaign again? CHANGE YOUR IDENTITY AND LOOSE YOUR HERITAGE.
  8. I think you'll find that was Southampton Leisure Holdings PLC, not Southampton FC.
  9. I don't believe it. More Portsmyth ******
  10. It ain't broke, it don't need fixing. I want Saints to be officially Southampton FC. I want the badge to stay the same, and I want them to play in Red % White stripes. You can't build heritage by changing your identity
  11. I don't suppose there was more than 1,500 who specifically didn't go because of Lowe. It was the stay aways that caused the demise of Lowe. And they stayed away because of the poor displays on the pitch which was due to Lowes policies of bringing in Dutch no-hopers. Hoisted by his own petard.
  12. I can not believe so many on here bigging up McG. What was his score ratio from the spot? Bread and butter for a striker you would have thought. How many times was he one on one with a keeper and failed to score? He's slow, lazy, and wants to leave anyway. One million? Yes please.
  13. Player contracts is an urgency. But, it's putting the cart before the horse a bit. Firstly a decision has to be made about the Manager. And the longer that is up in the air the the less time there will be for getting the right players in and contracts signed.
  14. Anyone got an idea what the average season ticket price is for Div 1 ? Enthusiasm + Good deal on ticket price = Full house = Better chance of success on pitch.
  15. I've heard we've been invited to a pre-season four-way competition in Malaysia, with Real Madrid, AC Milan, and Bayern Munich. Can anyone confirm?
  16. Not yet. I'm going to continue my search at the car boot sale in Bursledon tomorrow.
  17. Another pointless thread Ooooh
  18. Why the "Buffoon" ? You got all the answers sweetheart?
  19. We will be a private company again rather than a PLC, so there will be a lot less transparancy in all financial matters. Does anyone know the extent of money owed to local businesses?
  20. You're changing your argument petal.
  21. It's a very fair point about local business, but that was a mess caused by Lowe. We are where we are now and the administrator is still talking to prospective buyers, i think Barclays should pay the staff of SLH while that is still on going. Morals and banks are not natural bedfellows I know, especially Barclays as Vectis Saint points out
  22. Where did I say any of this was Barclays fault? It's the fault of Lowe. However if you are comfortable with Barclays PR machine paying out millions to football on the one hand, and not allowing staff too be paid at SMS for the wont of a few thousand on the other thats your politics.
  23. And dont the 'ordinary' people of SFC, stand the risk of having their homes repossessed? The ticket office staff, groundsmen, etc etc. I'm not talking about players, they are big enough and ugly enough to look after themselves. The people who actually work at SMS left hung out to dry by no fault of their own because Barclays wouldn't even cover this months wages, while they are happy to pump millions into the Premiership. I hope the same never happens to you CBFry.
  24. Your values must be different to mine mate. A bank worth billions ,even today, pouring millions into Football to improve their image, while allowing the wages of SFC staff to be used as some sort of bargaining chip. At the very least stinks of hypocracy.
